Great show as always. I just finished rewatching The Day After Tomorrow. Coukd be a good react. To my knowledge that was the first time a high detail water sim was used in a movie. Especially the Manhattan Tsunami scene. I mean 2003 and that scene still holds up 19 years later. Its also a film that really shows what happens to the vfx scenes that they didn't have enough time on. The helicopters in Scotland coming out the storm looks like a ps2 cutscene. You can tell which scenes where the "hero" shots that they studio choose to work on. And which ones had to be done last minute.
The *last agni kai fight from ATLA* would be perfect for for the Animators React. It's so stunning! For the VFX series you gotta react to *Aslan from the Chronicles of Narnia!* Also at the end of second one there's a big water creature, so it might be cool to see what you think about that. Maybe also, Max Schneider's Gibberish music video, the editing kinda breaks my brain there. And for stuntmen react It would be cool to see you react to the duel from "Potop", it's really good sword fight (tho technically it's sabers i think)

I would love to see a Practical FX Artists React. Have you ever seen Food of The Gods 2 (Also known as Gnaw)? One, it's super crazy. From a giant cursing angry kid, to melting man, to giant rats. Two, the practical FX are really well done, with some force perspective mixed with practical appliances that I still can't figure out how they did it. Namely the dream sequence as the man grows. It's just really well done with some underrated work.
Would be nice to see you react to She-Hulk throughout the series, sometimes she looked pretty good and sometimes quite bad. Also a general look of Andor, that series is gorgeous.
@@sam8404 Huge real sets on 'Andor' but a lot of VFX backgrounds, establishing shots, vehicles, as well as Volume-like LED for windows (e.g. in the party scene at Mon Mothma's it's a set but they put one of the screens that make the Volume outside to allow atmosphere and lighting). Very interesting to compare with 'The Mandalorian' and maybe even 'Dune' that seems to follow a similar philosophy (also just interesting as showrunner Gilroy has said he didn't object to the Volume, he doesn't see one way as better or worse, his crew were just more experienced with one way of doing it that is set work and then post production VFX where as the Volume requires the VFX workload upfront).
I would love to see a "VFX Artists React" on Close Encounters Of The Third Kind! Apparently, all effects in that movie were practical. Just... mind blowing.
I like the use of 3D printing costumes for TV. I've seen it in cosplay before but never thought it could be done on this scale. I also like how compositing was used to save time and money for a shot that could've cost some quality if rendered. Lastly, I appreciate the research that went into Wandavision. @@thingswelike From what I can tell, the 3D model was treated kind of like concept art - and the actual suit was sculpted from clay. The prosthetics guy explained that it was important to tailor the details of the design to allow for the specific kinds of movements needed with full body suits (which 3D artists wouldn't think about when designing). Things like where the panels need to overlap to allow for good movement, how they'll be adhered to the skin to avoid creasing (and what parts of the body that won't work on), which parts are able to be hard resin and which need to be soft foam, how weight is distributed for the actor, and the way elements are positioned on the face to allow for the actor's performance to come through. I'm rewatching the Harry Potter movies and I thought it would be interesting if CC reacted to the evolution of visual effects throughout the entire series. Love your channel, thanks for everything.
To be honest, for a while now, I've been thinking I'd love to see you guys react to Russ Tamblyn's dance sequence in the 1958 movie Tom Thumb. Specifically, the part where he makes a drawing of himself that comes to life and dances with him :)
3:56 I love that as a demo y’all used Beamng, one of my favorite games. I’d be interested to see you guys do a video on physics simulated animations and stuff like that, cause the crashes in that game are insane
For VFX react it would be really cool if you guys looked at the mid-2000s Zathura movie I remember rewatching it and just being kind of surprised how well some of the effects held up.
I love the design for the hex in wandavision, because it reminds me of how a TV screen shows up through being filmed. Hopefully that explanation makes sense but I'm sure everyone knows what I'm talking about.
Ngl if the extended cut is more insights into technical solutions or workflows I will get the membership. I don't really need more reactions, but learning for example how to composite fire like here is amazing. That was the main reason I subscribed to this channel, back when it was called Sam&Niko
There are a lot of Doctor Who effects that are interesting since DW doesn't have a large budget. You can also get in contact with the guy who did a lot of the effects in recent years through his youtube channel
You guys might want to consider subtitling guests with a strong accent. I'm sure the English is good enough for the native ear and I don't want to be offensive in any way, but for non-native speakers it's really hard to understand with the accent on top. I think your international audience is large enough to justify that. Unfortunately the auto generated CCs seem to have the same problem, it's very inaccurate and barely usable. So maybe add proper optional CCs for those few videos?
I don't know if you have done it already, but the skeletons of Pirates of the Carribean Curse of the Black Pearl holds up surprisingly well. Would be cool if you took a look at that.
One of the coolest things I've seen recently were the set pieces of "Sandman" which were a beautiful mix of practical and CG, I'd love to see more about the art of blending those two together to create a scene.
Please react to agents of shield. So many of the effects are really cool, especially for a TV show, and the stunts are really good as well. The specific effects I’d say you should look at are Ghost rider, terragenisis, the Zephyr plane, and some of the various inhuman powers
Week 11 commenting the same: you guys need to make your own "authentic" UFO videos, and see if it can fool the scrutiny of unknowing coworkers!! I bet someone can! Keep the content coming!!
@@sam8404 i know they debunked UFO vids, i want to see if they can make some of their own, that are "un-debukable"!! Lol Also, they very well may have done it already and I missed it...don't think so though.
I just saw Everything Everywhere All at Once and my first thought was "how haven't Corridor reacted to this". The vfx were awesome and actually made by a five person team with no formal training!
Yo! I did Previs and Postvis on WandaVision and I did the initial design for a bunch of those shots you guys showed 😄 It's crazy he said it took them a year to design that hex environment. I had to whip up some thing cool in about a day, but obviously their environment is far more intricate. In Previs, we have a joke with the supervisor "The client wants something super cool that nobody's seen before and they need it in an hour." Sometimes it's not a joke at all though and it's literally true.
It would be cool if you could do something on title sequences... Not necessarily photo real, but I really like the work they do on them. I'm thinking specifically of the Severence title sequence. The movement of the guy in it is so interesting, like is it animated? Mocap? It's just a really nice sequence.
If you’re open to more video game stuff, I’d love to see you guys react to the following at any point: - The cinematic trailers for Star Wars: The Old Republic (the mmorpg game) - The infamous Killzone 2 teaser that was originally announced as in game versus the actual game (there’s probably a few other good examples to note how that led to the disclaimers for putting “not in game footage” labels on trailers) - The original World of Warcraft intro cinematic - A look into video game facial animations with maybe a look at games like Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice to note his motion capture in gaming has evolved - Any scenes from Detroit: Become Human - Oh and scenes from Supermassive Games like Until Dawn and The Quarry for how they recreate actors in game
Everytime I watch one of these I enjoy them, but I always think the guests are far superior at VFX and know it. Corridor try and explain stuff and they are like suuuuuuuure!
You guys should take a look at the intro of Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo. I've read that it's one of, if not the first use of CGi in a movie. It was crazy to see it used in a 50s film
It’ll be more of a practical effects breakdown but please please please showcase Brandon Cronenberg’s Possessor! I’ll admit this will be best covered on the Patreon channel due to the extremely graphic content but holy sh*t, this movie is a masterclass in practical effects ingenuity. And also holy sh*t, I love you guys! So wish I could be part of the crew.
That "Oh Yeah" at 6:43 was so heartfelt! I suspect 'someone' has had a flashing light scene to work on that was an absolute bitch to get right once upon a time lol
Yikes, I hadn't tried watching these with CC on before 😬 That's so slack for a 6M sub channel, esp. one that frequently has visitors with strong accents? (aren't super-well picked up by AI transcript) The auto-gen CC format isn't great either, having so much subtitle onscreen at one time makes it hard to both read and look at the main image, which is a major problem for an image-focused channel. Corridor Crew team, please, please consider investing in this? Your channel's so cool, would be great to see it more fully accessible...
Some of the robot shots in Outside the wire were really cool. There's a scene in the car where they take out a tracker that's pretty cool and the other where his robot bits are revealed is also really cool.
You might’ve done this but I just watched Nobody and I’d love to see a breakdown of the closing shoot out (amongst the rest of the film) - just to add my favourite TH-cam channel - y’all the best!
I recently watched Sleepy Hollow and thought it’d be a good one for you guys. See how they did the headless horseman. There are a few good shots to review. Especially the scene in which he gets his head back.

I really love all of the guys (and girls, of course)... fortunately I still got many more videos to watch.
Greetings from Germany :)
I'm rewatching the Harry Potter movies and I thought it would be interesting if CC reacted to the evolution of visual effects throughout the entire series. Love your channel, thanks for everything.
For all us creatives, this was priceless. Thanks Corridor Crew👌
This show is simply amazing.
So happy to see stranger things getting love, was able to work on set as a PA with VFX and it was such an amazing experience
I always love the episodes with roedo fx they are entertaining and we see so much about the behind the scene and how it works
I don't know if you have done it already, but the skeletons of Pirates of the Carribean Curse of the Black Pearl holds up surprisingly well. Would be cool if you took a look at that.
One of the coolest things I've seen recently were the set pieces of "Sandman" which were a beautiful mix of practical and CG, I'd love to see more about the art of blending those two together to create a scene.
lots of The Sandman's environments and creatures were done by RodeoFX as well ;) there is a breakdown on their channel!
Didn't they do that already?
@@sam8404 i know they debunked UFO vids, i want to see if they can make some of their own, that are "un-debukable"!! Lol
Also, they very well may have done it already and I missed it...don't think so though.
So glad they made a quick reference to The Science Of Sleep. I loved that movie so much.
I just saw Everything Everywhere All at Once and my first thought was "how haven't Corridor reacted to this". The vfx were awesome and actually made by a five person team with no formal training!
You Guys doing amazing job with this reacts. Keep it up! I'm watching you every week
My takeaway from watching so many of these videos is that lights, shadows and reflections are the bane of every good visual effects artist.
It would be cool if you could do something on title sequences... Not necessarily photo real, but I really like the work they do on them. I'm thinking specifically of the Severence title sequence. The movement of the guy in it is so interesting, like is it animated? Mocap? It's just a really nice sequence.
If you’re open to more video game stuff, I’d love to see you guys react to the following at any point:
- The cinematic trailers for Star Wars: The Old Republic (the mmorpg game)
- The infamous Killzone 2 teaser that was originally announced as in game versus the actual game (there’s probably a few other good examples to note how that led to the disclaimers for putting “not in game footage” labels on trailers)
- The original World of Warcraft intro cinematic
- A look into video game facial animations with maybe a look at games like Hellblade: Senua’s Sacrifice to note his motion capture in gaming has evolved
- Any scenes from Detroit: Become Human
- Oh and scenes from Supermassive Games like Until Dawn and The Quarry for how they recreate actors in game
It’s crazy how diverse the vfx world is
Everytime I watch one of these I enjoy them, but I always think the guests are far superior at VFX and know it. Corridor try and explain stuff and they are like suuuuuuuure!
You guys should take a look at the intro of Alfred Hitchcock's Vertigo. I've read that it's one of, if not the first use of CGi in a movie. It was crazy to see it used in a 50s film
What shot? Or you mean tbe credits?
@@Orangeflava Yeah the opening title sequence
It’ll be more of a practical effects breakdown but please please please showcase Brandon Cronenberg’s Possessor! I’ll admit this will be best covered on the Patreon channel due to the extremely graphic content but holy sh*t, this movie is a masterclass in practical effects ingenuity.
And also holy sh*t, I love you guys! So wish I could be part of the crew.
It's cool to know that vecna isn't even entirely CGI
Cool to know that vecnussy is real.
Did you even watch the video? He is CG, just not 100% CG.
@@synsam12345 I meant the costume thing
@@synsam12345 "isnt even entirely "
@@_Rick___Grimes_ Yes, because he edited the comment after my reply. There's a reason it says "(edited)" next to the comment.
You guys should break down the falling scene from Lone survivor. The move starting Mark welbourge
Thank you for the selection, and would like you to break down the taxi drift in the first action scene from Kingsman golden circle
Marvel CGI can either be a HIT (the avenger suits) or a huge missss (Black Panther Fight on the bridge)
That "Oh Yeah" at 6:43 was so heartfelt!
I suspect 'someone' has had a flashing light scene to work on that was an absolute bitch to get right once upon a time lol
You should check out the John Smith Doctor Who VFX showreel. It’s incredible what a single person did for such a well known show
I second that, was about to post the same thing. Beautiful showreel!
LOVE YOU GUYS SOO MUCH,BECAUSE OF YOU GUYS I'M IMPROVE ON MY VFX , IN THE PHYSICAL CONCEPTS ASPECT THANKS SOO MUCH , LOVE FROM AFRICA
I demand more "anime" style videos from corridor like the good ole days. let my message be heard.
I don't remember when this series started but it's crazy to think how far this it's come.
6 million subscribers, could we please get subtitles for the hard of hearing fans done by you guys, auto generated doesn't really work
Yikes, I hadn't tried watching these with CC on before 😬 That's so slack for a 6M sub channel, esp. one that frequently has visitors with strong accents? (aren't super-well picked up by AI transcript)
The auto-gen CC format isn't great either, having so much subtitle onscreen at one time makes it hard to both read and look at the main image, which is a major problem for an image-focused channel.
Corridor Crew team, please, please consider investing in this? Your channel's so cool, would be great to see it more fully accessible...
Another fellow frenchman, nice =) !
This was very instructive and enjoyable, as always
Attempt 63 Chronicle Telekinesis Scenes.
Some of the robot shots in Outside the wire were really cool. There's a scene in the car where they take out a tracker that's pretty cool and the other where his robot bits are revealed is also really cool.
Game of Thrones... everyone who wasn't involved with the writting gave it their A Game ! Dan & Dave just phoned it in at the end...
House of the Dragon brought the universe back :) I even think the Dragons look better now, especially in episode 9
FINALLY YOU DID THE VFX BREAKDOWN FOR GAME OF THRONES!!!
I would love to see some reactions and breakdowns of any scene in Everything, Everywhere, All at Once...Please.
Wonderful react as always and well edited episode specially the extended cut inserts and sfxs 😉
Just when I think what could you guys talk about next, you surprise us with a ton of new content and breakdowns.
I'm overwhelmed as an artist, although I don't have any experience with movie making and VFX&CGI...
Enfin, un artiste VFX français sur cette incroyable chaîne !! Yeah !!
Finally, a French VFX artist on this amazing channel !! Yeah !!
Julien was a joy! Awesome episode!
Leatherback turtle's teeth is the most surprising thing I learnt from this video lol
Watching all of this makes me so excited about VFX and makes me want to get into it

-1ST Venom
