There's always gonna be people who think CGI looks too fake and it's always bad but I see less and less of it now and when I do more people have at least a little knowledge to talk about what's actually happening in films and TV production instead of just automatically assuming it's bad because it's noticeable and fake. Thank you for sharing your knowledge and bringing that vocabulary to the table for us layfolk.

    The "CHARGE " Blender short would be awesome
    for the VFX series. As well as *Aslan from the Chronicles of Narnia!* where you could do a comparison to the "live action" Lion King. Also at the end of second Chronicles of Narnia movie there's a big water creature, so it might be cool to see what you think about that.
    Maybe also, Max Schneider's Gibberish music video, the editing kinda breaks my brain there.
    The *last agni kai fight from ATLA* would be perfect for for the Animators React. It's so stunning!
    And for stuntmen react It would be cool to see you react to the duel from "Potop", it's really good sword fight (tho technically it's sabers i think)

    This is by far my favourite show on youtube. Years ago I studied 4 years to become a video freelancer(av specialist) and managed to be one for a few years, in my spare time I thought myself 3d animation and modelling...I earned more money with 3d animation than what I studied for for 4 years...and you guys together with some other youtubers and tutorial sites helped a lot with accomplishing that.

    • @double-atime6523
      @double-atime6523 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      if you don't mind me asking, where did you learn 3d animation and modelling? Was it through a university course, or was it through programs/videos by any chance? I am interested in the field but I feel like it is going to be really expensive... and a big commitment?

    • @ItsASuckyName
      @ItsASuckyName ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@double-atime6523 You may probably know it already but I used Blender for the 3d stuff, it's free software and has a massive online community that will help anybody who wants to get started with 3d animation and modelling. I learned it mostly by watching videos in my spare time, the biggest step for most people is getting started because 3d software looks incredibly frightening when you open a program for the first time. But it is absolutely possible to get in the field without studying at a school or university, becasuse I also did it this way and I know many people who have done the same. If you dedicate the time you would spend at a school on self teaching 3d, your 3d skills will increase massively, even more then when you would study for it. Messing around in Blender is also very addictive, kinda like gaming. The only thing I studied for was AV specialist.

    • @ItsASuckyName
      @ItsASuckyName ปีที่แล้ว

      @@double-atime6523 I wanted to add something that I learned the hard way, if you want to make a living out of video/camerawork/editting or 3d, work on communication between you and the clients. That is just as important as making the actual product, in this type of work there will be a lot of communicating, either about money(which is always awfully awkward) or brainstorming and discussing the actual project. I once worked on a 3d animation about the proper and safe placement of containers on container ships, I spent 80% of that project discussing stuff that the client wanted to change than actual animating and modelling...it's wise to agree on a certain amount of adjustments so that you don't spend months on one single project that the client keeps changing because he keeps comming up with new ideas. Or agree about that if the client keeps changing stuff, he will have to pay for it.

    Let's all appreciate Clint, it was a boomer he couldn't be there to celebrate the 100th episode, because at the beginning he was a key part of it, for both visual effects and stunts episodes. I was actually captivated by CC since the firsts, if not the very first episode of the series, and I'm glad I was. Ever since, this channel has been part of my every week basis and I've learned a lot even though I'm a musician and not even related to film making at all lol but regardless, great content, great learning, huge thanks 💜 and please get Jackie Chan on that couch for God's sake

    Congratulations Corridor Crew! I’ve watched every episode multiple times. I love how entertaining it can be while also teaching you principles of movie-making and storytelling. Also, Sam’s reactions are always hilarious! Keep up the amazing work!!!

    One of the cool things about the Adam's family shots: the "hand actor" in the Adam's family played a severed hand in another movie, and he plays it completely different. In this, he has the hand being playful, standing upright, acting inquisitive. In the other movie( the name of which I can't remember) the hand is evil, and so he plays it more squat, low to the ground, sneaky, and spiderlike. You can really see the difference in the side by side shots

    I love that this is what Making-Ofs used to be, before those were turned into just extended ads for the movie.
    Congratulations on and thanks for 100 episodes and to hopefully 100 more.

    So awesome to see how far you all have come. I never would have thought that 12 year old me watching frozen crossing back in 2010 would still be able to come back and keep watching something like this almost 13 years later, and the growth along the way. Props to the whole team.

    wow I can't believe it's been 100 episodes, been watching since sonic and learned so much and appreciate movies even more knowing the work that goes on behind the scenes to make great effects. I love when you guys do really old movies, its great to learn how they had to come up with interesting ways to create effects as well. can't wait to see the next 100 episodes.

    I have watched it all from the start, and did not even realize that this was the 100th time you guys were doing this, always fresh always entertaining and informative. I am a CG animator and got a chance to work on a vfx movie for the first time recently, but I wasn't scared because I learnt the terminology and some basics of how VFX movies work THROUGH this show and my vfx animation lead was like "You are pretty good for a first timer" and I was glad that this SHOW or this Series had unknowingly benefited me. You guys are amazing! Keep doing these videos and get Clint back on the show more often, he is one of the OG's for me of this series.

    Hey guys, there's some new AI stuff I think it'd be sick to see you check out. Some guys who worked on Ready Player One have released something called Wonder Studio, it replaces an actor with a CG model. It handles motion tracking, facial performance, lighting, clean plates, all that kind of stuff and it allows for the user to go in and make tweaks to their liking. I just think it'd be something really cool to see you guys check out. Anywho, love the content, looking forward to more

    I know Corridor Digital is a company and this is business. And showcasing the products of a massive industry. But at the heart of it all is people. You guys are doing something truly amazing and heartwarming, that clearly shows from these videos. It is so lovely to see that the whole industry consists of really cool and interesting people, that are not just doing it for the money through a passion and love for creating something amazing.
