    I don't think you made a mistake by play Qe5. Under the pressure of the clock, that was the conservative play. Pretty straightforward from there.
    BTW, congratulations on securing such an overwhelming dominant position. If you have the time, could you post the list of moves in the description section so that we can see how you got to this point? (I have a hard time envisioning how Black managed to get himself into a discovered check position so deep within his defenses.)

      hey, thanks for the comment! Here's a link to the game, it comes from an early sac of a knight vs caro-kann, which is not very sound, but not terrible and forces the opponent to think and be accurate - which is tough 3+0 lichess.org/KpVtd0RC/white#1
