Vitek shocked me with those saves bro 😭
That’s why he needs to go out on loan to play decent amount of games
He is a confident young keeper that'd benefit from a loan at a decent level.
If he can work on his distribution he'll be playing ahead of onana
@@neilg6675 Imopssible. ETH is stubborn & favors players chosen by him. Even if Onana makes blunders, he will go on playing him. In champions League last year, Onana had few poor performances, but ETH never got Bayindir. Bayindir was made to sit on bench whole last year. Even against weak teams, no attempts to induct new players.
@@neilg6675 😂😂😂
The class of 24/25. Would be great if a couple of these youngsters get minutes for the main team this season. Great video Sam
Amass is the perfect age, hes probably a few seasons away from really chalanging for a start but by the time hes ready there will be a defenate place for him. Shaw unless we spend big on a replacement will either move more into a second choice CB than playing regular at LB.
Luke Shaw between 17-19 was class. Hopefully he can do something similar. Shaw would be a great mentor, the amount that guy has been through and come out the other side is insane
@@Bumchats
Great point. Mentoring the young should be built into being a United player. What a wealth of experience Shaw has. 1 to 1 with Amass, a couple of hours every week. How could that not return gold to our young players.
Our midfielders for the U18s was solid imo. Fitzgerald, McAllister, and Fletcher were fantastic.
If Shea Lacey can overcome his injury issues, he looks to have the potential to break through. I've watched him a number of times and he definitely passes the eye test.
What a fantastic lad out there. That magic in his left foot is so much incredible
Amass needs 2 more years imo. I still think he’ll be a great player.
Nah bro if Fernandez ain’t making it then Amass isnt
@@Koutsimouka great logic 👍
He needs to develop but I wouldn't rule out a League or FA cup appearance, maybe Europa League, this coming season.
@@35andyman not ruling it out but I don’t see him getting meaningful minutes.
@@jbrew7396 if he doesn't then a decent loan would be better for him. I don't see the point of him hanging around the reserves for another season.
For me, I'm eagerly waiting for ibramigov and oyedele to get a chance to showcase their talents more. Those two are actually talented !!
Big shout out to Steve for the unseen efforts 👌
Finlay McAllister reminds me of former Utd academy star Ben Pearson & Liam Grimshaw. All action midfielder. Really gets his stuck in. Robust and tenacious
Amass is not ready and it showed yesterday
@@wp8762 only 1 poor game in his career fitness the rest wasn't much better. He certainly made up for it against Rangers.
He's an outstanding in every department watch him in LA I'm sure he'll impress
Thank you so so much as someone been watching fan content since 2014 on TH-cam I miss how much more everyone used to do videos on the youth and like recaps it’s part of what makes United fun
These young lads are the future for our club. We need to monitor their progress. Videos like this are just as important as transfer gossip.
Harry Amass came through Watford. Toby Collier came through Brighton. We bought them, so there’s nothing special the Academy has done in respect to them.
Maximilian Oyedele my guy, I wonder why was he forgotten. at his age (19) he's decent with or without the ball a loan to Portugal and/or the championship or even the Dutch league where he would start would do him good.
I agree with you, loaning to the championship has not been too effective
Oyedele is good
What about shea lacey. I know he is very young but it seems like he might be the best dribbler in the club and given some proper first team experience
he has injury issues
@@taen6917
Don't forget, he's growing into a man's body, teenagers are prone to problems. It's like saying he has no future because he has acne.😂
The likes of Collyer, Wheatley, Amass, Gore & Ogunneye will all hopefully have breakthrough seasons. Then you've got the likes of Fletcher, Lacey etc coming through aswell. Of course players need to earn the right to play for United but as Ten Hag has shown he's willing to give youngsters oppertunities. Our academy really is producing alot of incredible talent that nurtured correctly can hopefully be part of the first team in the long term. Exciting times ahead man
Totally agree 👍
Guess you forgot an important player, a special talent, Dan Gore.. He’s only 19 and got some loan experience as well
You were the first person I heard talk about Mainoo 1 or 2 years ago. Let's hope for more of them 😄
Yo this guy deserves so much more respect the effort he puts into each video is insane not to mention the consistency ♥️
Collyer is the next.
It's the talk EtH had with him after the FA cup final.
We've seen that before with Kobbie.
Amass will get there but is yet far off from first team.
If I had to put money on a bet I'd put everything on Colly.
Safest bet.
There is always an issue with LB for some reason. Really thought B. Williams looked great in his break out season, Alvaro too when he played there but somehow, just don't have a graduate that sticks in there for longer or challenges for that spot permanently. Must be something Ten Hag wants that we are not aware of.
Yesterday Harry Amass showed nothing going forward or back either - he needs a couple of years.
First game of pre-season vs a fully fit team. Let's see how they do with more fitness.
Tody collyer.. Seems cool & calm in the centre & seems like Ten Hag got his own
I'd like to see ethan wheatley stay at our club rather than a loan spell. I think it would be good to have him directly instructed by ruud, to learn and adapt to eth's style and also to be an emergency 3rd option should Hojlund or zirkzee get injured. For the first time in a while I feel like our club would be better at nurturing a player than loan experience and while he may not get as many minutes as he'd like I think a patient approach with maybe a couple community shield type games would be a better approach rather than how we broke in kobbie and garnacho
The Ruud thing could be a game changer for our young strikers. Whereas before I might think a loan spell was ideal, working with an unbelievable finisher like Ruud seems like a better use of time for the boys. Even Zirkzee and Hojlund.
Which academy player do you think has the potential to become a regular first team squad member for Manchester United in the 2024/25 season? Comment below with your choice!
All of them
what happened to shea lacey?
Toby I think
Any one of Collyer, Wheatley, or Amass would be my guess 🔥
We will definitely see one of them get game time this season but I'm not that much excited about any of them
Rashford Greenwood breakthrough was a bombshell to the pl .Now one struggling with form and another being sent to exile.
What’s your point?
@@og.ashcatchem3969right
@@og.ashcatchem3969still waiting for the reply to see the point 😂😂😂
Waste of comment
Greenwood is still good Just the scandal that comes with him. Rashford could play better this season but it would be a good time to cash in on him.
If we bring in Ivan Toney then Wheately should go to a top 4 Championship team
I'd love to see Williams as a third option but only if he's going to get regular minutes. Otherwise a Champo or foreign team where he can regularly start.
Watch out for Amass in LA im sure he will grab the opportunity to impress and excitexwith his amazing runs ball carrying passing and exceptional skill 2 footed
Loans for youth players in the lower leagues toughens them up and is something Man Utd don’t do enough off they need too use the championship especially more it’s a great standard off football for the younger players 🙌🇬🇧
Dan Gore will be the one to get much more game time next season
Very good clip. United need to do what United do. Promote these lads and let them grow together.
Collyer among first team group could deliver more than mount, better equipped than mctommany/amrabat, good radar and engine.
What about Dan Gore?
TEN HAG FOUND Another son like KOBIE AND GARNACHO . I.E TODY COLLYER❤
I think TH knows a talent when he sees one. If there is one thing Ajax do well, its identify and develop talent. Which has also been United's tradition although I think we lost our way at some point.
@@mesolithicman164 toby Collyer is the only player Ralf Rangnick spotted and was allowed to be delivered by the Glazers.. moreover at th time Rangnick brought in Collyer, he said he had seen other talents but th club failed him..
"Which youngsters are you most excited about watching this season?"
😬😬😬
i want to see some more of oyedele. I love to watch him play football and he also is a great passer
Love our academy lads. I wish they could all make the grade. Sadly the world of football doesn't work that way, but they're our heart and soul as United fans.
It absolutely amazes me,that everybody has written off Malacia. He's had a terrible injury run. He's on his way back. He has bucket loads of talent. Everybody loved him ,when he just started. Typical ,for a lot of people to just write him off. That's the popular way. Watch him prove all of u wrong!!!!!
He has been injured for a whole season. Probably the next shaw because of it. Should be sold asap.
I thought alvaro fernandes should have/would have had a path into the lb spot but was unfortunately sold 😕
@@verbon47 So was Martinez basically, he was still our best CB.
Amass will be slowly integrated like Garnacho was in ten hag's first season.. meanwhile Collyer will be integrated like Mainoo with regular minutes right from his first season...
Love these videos. Thanks Sam for the great content!
Wheatley, Fletcher, Oyedele, Gore, Lacey and Collyer seem like high potential players, they would need gametime, maybe starters in cup games whilst the first team focuses on the league and partially the Europa league.
Wheatley was shocking pre season, Harry Amass was class.
Class of 24 coming soon 🔱
I like the idea of loaning to a good championship side or even a newly promoted prem side , game time is important for a lot of them at that age unless their kobbie esc level
what about amir ibragimov and shea lacey
What about them? You do a TH-cam video.
@@srhegarty How about , he asked to put names he missed , but a thick keyboard warrior who hasn't watched his video tries to be clever, when this comment makes you sound like a dik.ed
Definitely will keep my eyes on them
Pause
nice video, I quite like the gk vitek as a number 2, can still play for U21s but also a number 2 who can play carabao maybe, allows us to sell bayindir who I think will never get a chance.
Just caught your video very interesting for me have seen a lot from the u18s last year and they were all superb I know the under 21s struggled but still had some stand out performances, Sam Murray on the left think he’s more ready than amass also habeeb ogunneye on the right think if we sell wan Bissaka he could step in and save us a fortune on the wing ennis is unbelievable when he gets going and midfield player all are forgetting maxi oyedele more defensive than collyer and can play though the lines.
We have many trophies to fight for and I think ETH should give this lads a chance each on the big stage
Toby Collyer the next young star that will happen this season...he is good and mature.
👋🏽 Hello Sam wow some talent we have I would love 2 see Harry Amas break through he's 🔥 and under 1st team Guidence at LB we need that so that's mine
I really like this type of videos, quick, lots of information en well layed out
The Carrick /Jack Fletcher reference is spot on
Man toby is fire
The more Academy Talent Breaking through the Better! It will be Amazing if we can Break through One Player Every Season!
I'm sure our new owners want to get to a point where we're able to sell like Chelsea do in terms of making pure profit on our youth players so a lot of our talent willl most likely be sold for high prices and only the very best of our young players actually make it through.
So I wonder if any of these players mentioned will be making big money moves out and we'll basicallly have a conveyor belt system of some we keep but most will be sold.
Collyer for me ✅
Amass needs to be loaned out to the championship and develop his defensive skills and one on ones too. Then hopefully, he will be ready for the Premier League by 2025/26 season
Love the Germany jersry, great content as always Sam. Keep up the good work
Don't forget about Dan Gore. Ten Hag rates him highly. He would have definitely been on pee season if it wasn't for injury. Highly technical deep lying play maker. Versatile. Lots of promising qualities.
Sam Murray seems more refined ans developed than Amass. People tend to forget him. Could make an impact this season at left back
I was literally thinking about searching for a video like this hoping someone had made one recently and then boom the goat makes one today x
Can't wait any longer to see these youngster play their debut for first team.
I really like Toby Collyer and Jack Fletcher. Ethan Wheatley should definitely play a role this coming season with an extended European competition
Garnacho was at the Copa but barely played at all, compare to Mainoo who became first choice player
Sell Rashford and use Wheatley as 3rd striker. Mad should take over and join Garnacho on either wing.
Amass didnt look anywhere near comfortable vs Rosenberg...but he did have an injury last season ... i think he needs another yr in the academy, then a yr on loan to a club like Ipswich...& then we'll see if he has the potential.
We have some really good prospects but we need to manage them well & give them opportunities maybe on loan.
Good thing about Ineos is we have Nice under our umbrella & could be a good way to test some prospects in a top 6 french side...without the media attention...
Collyer looked good...& Ennis too. Wheatley is probably the most promising finisher since Greenwood, both feet & confident...
For me the stand-out prospect is Finley. Basically, he is a United Captain waiting to claim his Throne and it would be wonderful to have true Manc as our Captain
Shea Lacy should be at the top of the log of young players likely to break throught. It's a different gravy from the rest. There is something special about him that others don't have.
I believe Louis Jackson and/or Jack Kingdon will get a chance because the other cover options Aljofree/Fish/Bennett aren't good enough imo
Great future players coming out of the academy, the list is endless. The future is bright
I was here 28 sec after posting never been this early to any video!
It's funny how Darren Fletcher gets so much love and respect these days. When he was playing, fans treated him the same way they currently treat Scott McTominay .
He used to get refered to as "Fergie's Bastard Son" because "how else could he get into the team..."
He always played in the big games.
Nah Fletcher got that hate from non united fans. United fans rated Fletcher cos he always turned up in big games and was consistent. Mctominay has been the total opposite for us and both united and non united fans don't rate him much.
Wheatley should play some games
Collyer we know already
I like Wheatley, and I hope to see more of him. He's a willing runner who's bound to get scoring opportunities
Collyer looks below average in the brief video highlights I've seen, need to see more to properly assess. Wheatley, Oyedele, Dan Gore are my picks with Amass & Williams breaking through next year.
Apart from Collyer, i don't expect anything from the others. Some certain level of physicality is required to play senior men football and the rest don't seem to have it. They'd need at least 2yrs before they're ready.
Vitek is definitely ready but we all know Ten Hag has a favourite. Bayindir played 1 match - whole of last season.
We'll just put to the side that we only recently brought these guys to the academy, but either way, them getting some first team action is awesome
Harry Amass is outstanding give him minutes bad day in Norway but unfit but certainly made up for it in Rangers match.
Also he hasn't played the half with the so called stronger team with experienced players
Just love your introductions
Great video Sam
people are forgetting about Pellistri, hes coming back from loan spell
We wanna see Jack Fletcher in the midfield with Kobbie
If Mainoo can do it at 18+last season, why not for all those lads highlighted hereof? We have the League Cup and FA Cup to give them playing time as well as putting a few of them on the bench in some of the League games.
I would also include Dan Gore
Some of these players are good championship or lower Premier league players, but none are top-level quality from what I've seen.
It is still very important to give them all the chance to develop when the time is right and opportunity arises, because you never know how players will actually develop when they get past puberty. Our academy and the pathway to the first team is vital not just for success on the pitch but to generate funds and help with FFP.
Where is Lacey though? What happened to him? I'm surprised he doesn't feature as often as some of the other names we are getting to know from the youth teams. Lacey has been injured hasnt he? But he gets picked for the national team doesn't he? I think that is quite important too and a good indicator of potential (not always thpugh because Mainoo never played for England at yputh level I believe) id be very disappointed if Lacey's fallen off already! He was the one I thought had the best chance of being our next academy star. I mainly focus on technical quality and he has great touches and ability on the ball
I hoping more for a redemption arc for the likes of Rashford,Sancho & Mount.Hopefully with the likes of Ruud & Rene Hake, these players can start to redeem themselves.Still hugely talented all of them.
I thought Kambwala would be fully blooded in this season? He’s been sold! I hope there’s another good defender coming through
Nice shirt!
What about Babyako, he's a future star too!
Ethan wheatley is ready to play as 3rd choice ST.maybe 15games this season.
AND depends on this season we decide if he should stay or not.
Amass struggled with the press against Rosenberg and hit a chest height pass to Vitek because he couldn't handle it
TBF I'm a bit exhausted with the whole potential Academy breakthrough. Maybe I'm being impatient but I don't see any kid from yesterday's game who will come in the way Kobbie and Garna did and be real impacts in the 1st team. I think we have to move most of them on to make space for the U-18s and new kids that will be recruited under the new game model. The bar for that Academy should be so high that the kids won't struggle to control possession and create chances from it. It's not about results or making sure we bring through a kid. No
To be fair when Kobbie made his first team debut I thought he was dreadful and overhyped, seemed like a fish out of water every time the ball was near him. Then he came back from injury and now he's one of our best players by a country mile. Some of those kids will be just fine when they get their next chance
I strongly feel ETH doesn't trust youngsters/unproven academy players. He will make them sit on bench whole year, even if older, expensive players are failing. It's better to send most of these on loan which is better fro their development/progress.
With 2 new Asst Coaches, let's hope ETH changes little & accomodates more youngsters.
Please united board try as much as possible to bring in chido Obi Martin from arsenal cus that guy will be future striker mack my words
i think maxi oyedele is the most talanted and needed one for the first team now
Most of the time when I start to get excited over a youth player playing for the First team, we loan or sell them.
Wheatley needs to stay and get coached by RVN, Wheatley is tall and could become a unit like Zirksee if he fills out as expected.
Germany jersey looks awesome, where can i get it?
Harry amass,Ethan Wheatley,Toby collyer
