@@VincenzoMGREX yep same here when i want to watch something about batman. this youtube channel is a library of BATMAN and i just hope he get's a boost where other awesome youtubers like alex lennon who mentioned him in his entire history of batman video and he also considers him as a criminally underrated but still alex got views where salazar knight didn't get that much support. maybe it's youtube algorithm.

Batman Begins is my favorite out of the DK trilogy. Unlike The Dark Knight or the 1989 movie, Batman Begins focuses on the psychy on Bruce Wayne, showing his transition into becoming Batman. Plus, unlike The Dark Knigh and The Dark Knight Rises, it's a good balance of gritty realism and comic book escapism.
The other two films are great but they are about the city and Batman is one small part of them.
yeah I think it's my favorite for that reason as well. I love exploring Bruce's character.
This film is what Batman Forever what supposed to be.
I like how gritty Gotham looks in this film with the Brown and Gold color scheme, they should of kept that in The Dark Knight and Rises cause it makes them feel somewhat disconnected from Begins.
Honestly in 2005 expectations were very low for superhero live action movies. I was shocked at how "decent" the X-Men films in the early 2000s were and considered it a fluke. Blade didn't count, that was horror. I was just hoping Batman Begins wouldn't be cringe. I had my issues, but couldn't complain because I thought this would be as good as it gets. This was 3 years before Iron Man and the MCU would change the face of superhero films.
I know the rage that drives you. That impossible anger strangling the grief until the memory of your loved one is just poison in your veins.
Hey there! I don't normally do this, but this video is struggling really hard. It's quite literally the worst performing video of the last couple of years. And I just want to understand why is this happening. So it would mean the world to me if you give me your honest thoughts and criticism about this video. Be brutally honest. I can take it.
Thank you in advance.
it's youtube algorithm brother it happens man and seriously your very underrated and i hope you get a boost in 2025. even alex lennon also said your criminally underrated and because of you he is able to make the entire history of batman video. so it's youtube algorithm that stopping the reach.
A very small percentage of people read comics, because people don't read much at all. An even smaller percentage of them read "old" comics. That's why comic book videos attracts many, it's curiosity (and also because they will not read it themselves). Films on the other hand are the most mainstream media available at the moment, and a lot people have either watched or have an opinion about every movie, even imposed by other film reviewing yt channels.
Thumbnail could be a problem here, because it doesn't hint that the video will be about comics too (yea it's stupid YT thing)
A pinch of slat to put the taste of my feedback into context: I do not read comics / graphic novels or whatever else the audience needs to call them now. I am a fan of the Bat-Man character but not a cultist. Superman would win in a fight between them. Now my thoughts (since you asked). Perhaps this video is not performing well because most of the audience has fallen insanely in love with the Nolan trilogy. Personally I saw them at the dollar cinema and thought I over-paid. Bale bores me to tears and Nolan... well people like him. People also claim to like rap music so... I'm waxing long here to deliver a simple response. Your content was 99% right on the money. If that was your aim, congratulations. If your aim was to make this video popular... then you need to say something that Bat-Nolan cultists want to hear. Just my humble thoughts. Personally I hope you keep making this exact kind of piece because I like to hear your opinion. Even when it's wrong. (OH, and BRAVO to your bravery for asking for honest feedback. That is impressive.)
The old title led me to believe this was mainly about batman begins, so i put it on my watch later playlist. I am more invested in your analysis of the comics and bringing that together
I agree with @jackfromshack this is a great video, and I can't wait to see your follow up about the Dark Knight. I would include a comic panel in the thumbnail and make it clear you are comparing the movie to the comics, because that's what sets this video apart from so many other Batman movie reviews
I think you got the ending wrong... Batman says to Gordon that he would try to stop Ra's by himself. Gordon destroying the rails was a backup solution in the case Batman failed.
The important thing to notice is that Ra's is killed by Gordon, not Batman. Since Gordon is a cop, he has the right and the duty to kill a terrorist if that means saving innocent people. Batman knows this and doesn't interfere.
Some people say that Batman should have tried to save Ra's life, but the thing is that he did try. He got on the train and tried to stop it before it was too late, but in the end it was all for nothing, as Ra's destroys the controls to prevent the train from stopping. He brought that upon himself.
That’s true, everyone forgets Ra’s was about to commit suicide

that scene where Batman is beating up guys at the harbor is shot that way because you're seeing it from Falcone's point of view, where he can't really make out what's going on
Can’t agree about the Wayne’s death. I thought that’s one of the times the shaky cam actually works. It captures how Bruce would over processing such a traumatic experience. And the switch from the city to the scummy alley is his introduction to how scary the real world really is.
6:12
“Bragging”? Maybe they just like opera.
16:44
Agree and disagree. The studio was right from the point of fan service. Fans would be expecting the Batmobile. Artistically though it kinda messes with the films pacing.
23:40
I disagree. I think it works perfectly fine as a stand alone movie.
Took the words right out of my mouth
The Batmobile scenes are fine but it feels like they were added only to add more action to the film since Nolan wasn't really great at normal action scenes compared to dialogue heavy scenes(The Bank robbery scene being one of the exceptions), especially the Joker chase scene with the Bike/ Batpod in the Dark Knight.

About to comment this. I played the PS2 game many times.

Im not a huge fan of this film but I love how Nolan was the only one to keep Batman cape always upfront as curtains and also love how the cape was used to glide as well. Something that Matt Reeves Batman would emulate as well.
Finally, my major expose to this film was trough the videogame for PS2/Gamecube. I was fond of the interrogation sequences and how you were supposed to scare your enemies first instead of recklessly attack them unlike in Arkham Games.
Believe me, I tried my hardest to be generous with the movie in this video. I'm just glad you still watch my stuff after all this time, even when you don't like the movie. So thank you for that!

“Accidentally on purpose” - Salazar Knight’s end to 2024😂
Ras Al Ghul didn’t seem to care whether or not he died. Batman actually attempted to stop the train with the controls but Ras stops him by destroying it. Destroying the tracks was like a last resort.
Some other comic inspirations i believe were used for the film was the Scarecrow storyline from Batman Haunted Knight and Batman #0 from Zero Hour
both have lines from each comic put into the film and the writing for Bruce Wayne seems to have influenced Nolan's take in some ways.
I wish Scarecrow had been the villain, he was so interesting and Cillian Murphy did a fantastic job, but still a cool movie. Hopefully Matt Reeves makes Scarecrow the main villain of a movie
I’d love to hear more about the comics of that time
Great video btw
1:20 this blew my mind holy shit
I would pay so much to see this in theaters again
I assert that the reason for the change from a film, Zorro, to an opera focused on bats, was to make the mythological aspects of the movie work
Have you ever asked yourself why the film starts out with that scene of Bruce falling into the cave instead of a typical action scene or “day in the life” scene?
I posit that what Nolan/Goyer were doing was that they were framing Batman’s origin story by using the biblical narrative of the fall of man. A young boy and girl in a garden, the girl gives the boy an object, setting into motion the chain of events that would bring about death and his own pain. He takes the object, he falls in the cave (as you pointed out, adapted from “The Man Who Falls” - Nolan has specifically mentioned this as his source material and it’s where the name Henry Ducard came from - which that story got it from TDKR), and as a result Bruce develops a fear of bats. This fear of bats is what causes Bruce’s parents to leave the opera with him, which leads to their literal death, which leads to his own spiritual death and agony
In other words, “The Man Who Falls” was weaved together with “The Fall of Man”. I personally love this and think it’s brilliant
It also serves to meet one of Nolan’s main goals of the film: realism. In this case, psychological realism. Bruce doesn’t just do what he does because he was so shocked by his parents’ deaths as it were (though that’s certainly there), but he also feels personal guilt over it
True, he later says “My anger outweighs my guilt”, but 1) he didn’t say the guilt had gone away entirely, and 2) after spending years of his life growing up and feeling a measure of guilt, by the time he was old enough and mature enough to understand that it wasn’t his fault and to process these feelings, he would have felt extreme resentment towards the man responsible not only for his parents’ deaths, but the years of trauma that it put him through. Yet, as the movie shows, he was never able to confront the man responsible. That was taken away from him, which frustrated him even more. This is why it makes sense that when Bruce left Gotham, he didn’t have a specific plan for becoming a vigilante. It seems more realistic that Bruce’s frustration would drive him away from Gotham, his obsessive/compulsive personality would drive him to desire to understand criminals, and through his overseas experiences he falls in with the League of Shadows, who give him the idea of vigilantism
Nolan gives a complicated range of driving psychological factors that help make the character Batman as realistic as he can be, given that he’s a comic book character
Say what you will about the changes that needed to be made to the comic book mythology of Batman for this to work, but for what Nolan was intending to do it was very successful. I don’t want to see more directors taking these kinds of liberties, but because it was done so well in Nolan‘s case I overlook it. It gave us the best big budget Hollywood films centered around Batman
All that being said, loved the parts of this video where you go into the comics roots of this film. Your vids are always peak quality
I’ve seen this movie countless times but never noticed the significance of Bruce Wayne covering up the well until this video. Another excellent video Salazar! Have a happy new year!

I really enjoyed your observation of the Batman films following similar paths as the Golden Age Comics to the Bronze Age.
You can always tell that a lot of research goes into your work. Major props!
Everytime I watch a @SalazarKnight video. I feel like I don’t know shit about comics. Man this guy is good
I'm probably in the minority here but my big problem with the Nolan films is that they don't pick a lane. They talk a big game about being a more grounded take on the batman mythos but they still have impossible gadgets and city destroying superweapons. But then they won't commit to having fantastical elements like Venom or the Lazarus pit. Either do a more grounded movie about what batman would be like in the real world or do one that's more like the comics.
That’s exactly how I feel and I love those movies(especially Begina. They eliminated so many potential villains because they didn’t know how to make them “real”. The Batman showed how to do it with Penguin and Riddler, both were characters Nolan refused to use. Those two portrayals would’ve worked perfectly in the DKT
Cap, cap, cap.
Amazing - thank you for doing such a great job. The examination we needed and deserved.
Batman Begins also gave us one of the best animated movies in DC History that gave us the best comeback in Batman Gotham Knight
Liam Nesson was Ra's Al Ghoul in Batman Begins. Not the other guy.
That fake Ra's Al Gul was a plot twist, when he said that guy was Ra's i was confused too but then i remember that.
I knew Liam was Ra's from the very beginning.
Yo, bro , love your videos and they really helped a lot of people get into Batman. I'm wondering if you're thinking of doing similar history videos for other superheroes or if it's just Batman for now. Would like to see similar videos for Superman, Wonder Woman, The Flash, etc. It would help a lot of fans to get into those other superheroes.
I haven't thought about it. At least, not at the moment, but maybe someday when I'm done talking about Batman. Who knows.

Honestly I like the brown color of Gotham next to heavy shadows and bright white lights. Reminds me of the visuals of alien 3 or more appropriately the animated series about Batman from the 90's.
I wish Nolan would have done more with the Narrows and Arkham
Never will I forget my very first time watching this film with my mother and my older sister, in my final Elementary school year. It was something special. 19 years later, I still treasure BATMAN BEGINS as the very first movie about my favorite superhero I was able to watch in theaters. Everything that's hooked me to be a lifelong fan of the weird figure of the dark is here, except:
1. The sequel is objectively superior to this film (and RISES, as well, which was a mediocre conclusion to the whole trilogy).
2. Batman does things that are just out of character, like letting his enemies die. By that point, people already didn't know Batman wasn't a vicious killer anymore like in his first 11 months.
3. The fighting scenes, not just in this film, but in the sequels, are painfully basic, all because of the ridiculous idea of making it all as realistic as possible without embracing its comic book roots. The editing suffers a lot because of that.
4. Sorry, Cillian Murphy, but your Scarecrow was severely underwritten for me to take you seriously.
5. Katie Holmes is, rightfully, the worst actress of the entire movie. Her quotes and personality are fine, but her acting is not, plus, she lacked chemistry with Christian Bale.
6. Going back to the third point, these movies have given casual moviegoers a very exaggerated and erroneous idea about Batman and his lore. Just because Batman has no powers, doesn't mean he's the most realistic superhero ever, nor is he relatable at all. I'd love giving people all the reasons why Batman is far from what they think he actually is, but I would never end.
And yet, despite all of this, I'll take this trilogy over what Matt Reeves is doing with Batman, who is just restricting himself to repeating the same realism nonsense that doomed superhero movies in the last decade.
I forgot Batman Begins came out in June-15th 2005,I was in Iraq at Camp TQ ( a marine base then ) with a Texas Guard infantry unit out of Ft Hood,Tx ( now renamed Ft Cavazos ) we did a 3 month train-up there. So,obviously I missed seeing this film at the cinema, then in 2006 I saw BB on a make shift big screen out in the open on North Ft Hood ( that's where our guard unit did our training ) at Ft Hood again with a different Texas Guard unit once again deploying to Iraq.Out train-up time was 5 months this time. ( and yes I did 2 tours to Iraq back-to-back ) did a total of 4 tours all together. Hey,I was a glutton for punishment okay. LOL. This movie brings back a lot of old memories. SEMPER-FI
I wondered had Vicki Vale been reintroduced in Batman Begins and it's sequels how would she play a role in it, would she be a Photojournalist/Reporter and Love Interest for Bruce Wayne like in the 89 movie for the rest of trilogy and would Gilda Gold/Dent replace Rachel Dawes as a Childhood Friend (not a love interest like Vale ofcourse) of Bruce Wayne on two films and on a specific death scene at the warehouse in which Bruce failed to save her as he wrongfully chose Harvey Dent over what he intended like how can Vicki Vale's character work in Christopher Nolan's The Dark Knight Universe though?
I still love Batman Begins out of all live action Batman movies but your points are very valid. Never noticed these obvious flaws
thanks !!!! i love your videos
Thank you for understanding that Batman would've saved Ra's. It's literally a core component of his character to be compelled to save every life possible, and he should've grabbed him, grappled out and brought him to Gordon, that easy! Then the next film he literally KILLS Two Face. You have an amazing understanding of Batman's character and it makes me so happy for someone else to appreciate him as much as I do. Your videos are always top notch!

2. What's your favorite character that isn't batman or related to batman at all?
3. What is your favorite batman villain?
4. Can you make a video about your 10 favorite batman comics?

@@SalazarKnight i mostly wanted your opinion of it because it's one of the qorst comic book video games EVER.
you say adam west ruined the reputation of batman but at the same time hes the reason anyone knows of batman
Another good video!
I hear many critics say that Batman isn't an interesting character, only his villains are. That never felt right to me, and I think you pointed out many of the reasons the movie versions of Batman feel so flat as characters. He feels puppeted into his position as a superhero rather than a three-dimensional character built from the ground up. It's like they were scared to do the work needed to make the audience understand Batman, and instead made him so enigmatic they hoped you wouldn't notice how one dimensional he is.
As they say a hero is only as interesting as his adversary, and so to is the opposite true. For instance Joker seemed to be rebelling against an ideology (about the good of common man) that wasn't really believed by anyone anyway.
In some ways it seems like Christopher Nolan is great at the advanced parts of cinema, but weak at the most basic aspects. Like if you take apart the plot and characters there is not much there. I
Minority here. I like Batman Begins fall more than The Dark Knight. I stopped watching Batman films after TDK.
You forget your seeing the memories of a young child...is it any wonder crime Alley seems out of place, its because it's tainted by the memories of Bruce's loss.
I've watched your video twice. It's very, very good full of detail. At first I thought you were nit picking but I really started to see your point. I really loved how you pointed how this version of Batman doesn't have purpose. At the same time, it is, I think a relatable aspect of this version especially with how some men today feel they don't have a purpose. I really loved the comparison to The Phantasm I hadn't caught that before. I wish you had compared the voice Batman uses in the film vs the video game. I never played it as a kid but I saw one or two clips and it makes me wish Bale at chosen that voice instead of what is in all 3 films. The only time I like his voice is after was lit on fire. It made sense because well, he was just lit on fire. I agree a 1000% as well when you talk about the fight scenes. They are complete dog shit. I like the two fights in Rises with both Batman and Bane in them but other than that those fights are not ever goanna make a list of great fight scenes. The ending where Batman kills Ras does take you out of the film and does defeat the purpose of Batman throwing the gun in the lake and not killing the guy in The League of Shadows Temple. I feel that was WB call though. They did the same in Batman Forever. The themes are great didn't feel it's heavy-handed ness as is the cinematography. Those two I disagree with you on as well as the chase scene with the Batmoblie. I don't feel it is the same as Batman 89 at all. I hope when you are done doing the next two in The Dark knight Trilogy that you do the Burton/ Schumacker films as well. For me Batman 89 is poorly aged and Batman Returns is a mess. Batman & Robin could have been a good film if there was more time in the production as a whole and if it was set in an alternate universe. Batman Forever I feel is a flawed Masterpiece. If and when you do Batman Forever check out Hi-Top Films take on Batman Forever. It made me really examine the film for being more than nipples on neon.
This movie has no flaws in the context of 2005!
I have a lot of nostalgia for begins, it and The Batman 2004 were what made me the fan I am today.
But the batman purist in me rn can’t help but nitpick in terms of characterization in the DK trilogy, for Bruce especially.
Nolan was obviously a little embarrassed of the source material and I still can’t forgive him for what he did to scarecrow.
Oh yeah i agree absolutely with Scarecrow, he should have been a main villain in this Trilogy.
AND SO IT BEGINS.
THE SALAZAR KNIGHT TRILOGY.
A WATCHFUL VIEWER.
A DARK HISTORIAN.
Speaking of Ra's, I've been looking for good modern reads with him fog like 2 years now. What are some good books with him from the 80s onwards?
"Or was it that batman fans were so desperate for good cinema that we ignored it's flaws" This has been my very thought process on the whole trilogy.
I adore The Dark Knight trilogy, but I love Batman Begins, I love an origin story and I think this has been the best Batman origin story movie. We don't see the Keaton or Affleck origin, except the killing of the Waynes. We don't even see that with Pattinson's Batman movie.
I completely disagree that the Dark Knight, a thoroughly mediocre movie, surpassed Batman Begins in any way.
The wasted potential of the scarecrow

Your the man👍👍👍
i always thought the same about this scene
Christopher Nolan is a great cinematographer, but his lack of symbolism understanding is his biggest flaw when it comes to the Dark Knight Trilogy, specially Begins. As I recall, his original plan was to make Batman without the bat symbol and was forced to used it by WB executives.
Excellent video and take on the first installment of the Nolanverse!! One of the major reasons why Nolan-s Batman begins was so highly regarded, to the point where the fans ignored the flaws it has, was in part due to how low the bar was thanks to Schumacher's previous installments.
Watching the opening with the theory of Batman films, I'm like, "Wait, John Jackson Miller just preached this gospel to me!"
Then Matt Reeves the Batman Universe Represent the DCAU Batman Universe, because like Batman the Animated Series it takes Inspiration from the Past Media taking the Best and Throwing the Trash and creating the there own Version of it.
Batman Begins might be Batman's best movie. It's kinda hard to tell but it's definitely on the list
I think it’s underperforming because ,IMO, people are just expecting the dark knight returns, year one, and knightfall reiterations, which everyone already knows. Just my thoughts. Great video tho. And I’ll admit, I hesitated to watch it, and I never hesitate when u drop something new
I know man. I feel like I've let you guys down with this one but I'll come back stronger next time. I promise!
i feel like your nit picking a bit. all the batman movie adaptations take liberties. but this was a damn good review, very insightful.
Subbed ❤ great video
Gotta agree that the lack or sometimes invasion of contradictory elements of the character and Gotham that this movies has does make it fall short after these years.
I remember when it came out that it wasn't nothing too special. Only dark knight made the franchise pop.
Many problems are that Nolan isn't a comics book enjoyer at all, so while he isn't dogmatic in "only taking it from the scriptures" he also seems to really dislike comics. And yeah, the growl is super stupid.
I also never feel like Batman evolves besides fighting better in these movies. They are carried by the support cast and villains.
Will you do videos on Robin Year One and Batgirl Year one?
Separately? Not likely. Maybe as part of a bigger topic/concept. But we'll see what happens.
@@SalazarKnight Well, those two are really important Dick Grayson as Robin and Barbara as Batgirl stories..you can do them in one video, ofc..i think if you are covering all ajor parts of Btaman comics history, it only makes sence to cover those two..
My biggest issue with Batman begins is Batman killing Ra’s Al Ghul through shitty loophole logic. “I won’t kill you but I don’t have to save you either” is bullshit. Failure to act when you see someone about to die is murder. It kind of undoes his entire character arc in this movie. If Ra’s would have died by his own hand and Batman tried to save him after every horrible thing Ra’d was planning to do that would have been fantastic as it shows how far Bruce has come.
Unfortunately I've always thought that the fight choreography and camera work was absolutely atrocious in this trilogy.
I'm gonna be real after Batman begins this trilogy always completely fumbled the visuals. Bale's batsuit and the designs for Jonkler and Twoface are great but everything else just doesnt work. Gotham is too clean and happy, The villain designs are all pathetically UNDERdesigned and simplistic to the point of losing all intimidation factor, the fight choreography is terrible, and in the dark knight rises all of the small atmosphere that Gotham still sorta had in TDK was completely stripped away for a movie that looks like its taking place in the middle of the Macy's Thanksgiving Day parade 24/7 LOL. People can rightfully shit on Batman forever and Batman and Robin all they want, but at least those movies had a good stylistic aesthetic and weren't afraid to give some scenes a theatrical stage-like atmosphere that all good Batman stories benefit from IMO.
Yeah i don't like the fight choreography and editing. It's just choppy, i get why it happened in batman begins, but not in TDK and TDKR, TDKR is abysmal in almost all the aspects.
@@thegreatTBA FR, i dont get why ppl call it a good conclusion to the trilogy cause the only thing it does well imo is Bane's character. Even saying THAT though is a stretch considering how garbage the third act twist is and how it kinda ruins his character.
Not just you AT ALL.
Why do you flip flop between "Raaz" and "Raysh"? Real Bat Fans know its the latter...
It was indeed a great movie!

It seems I dropped the ball really hard with this one. Oh well, can't win them all.
@@SalazarKnight Yeah lol but I love you man
Flaws and all, but I do love this movie, even more than its most famous sequel(s). As a child growing up in the 2000s, superhero cinema was pretty much just Sam Raimi's Spider-Man and the Fox-Men movies. But BB felt to 12-year-old me like the only who achieved the same level of quality and "coolness" of the Spiderman movies. Plus, it felt more mature and grounded but still somewhat kid friendly and fun. In comparison, I think kids under 13 would find The Dark Knight more confusing and dull than scary.
Is TDK the better film? Sure. But Begins remains my favorite Bat-movie because it simply was a better mix of gritty realism, 2000s angst and cool action for kids - in other words, fun for all ages!
The Dark Knight Rises is the only one in Nolan's trilogy that I dislike. But the other two were the Bat-films I grew up with so, warts and all, I still love them.
Hated the ending of this movie "I'm not gonna kill you but I don't have to save you" that's some golden age stuff, the modern bat would never let someone die (except the rare times he did "looking at you son of the demon")
In the 89 bat it doesn't annoy me because he was unapologetic about it he didn't have the no kill rule but in this one he does so it comes off hypocritical

13:51 Me too, bro.
The theory i have heard is that batman doesn't have a "a no kill" in the nolan movies, but rather a "no executions" rule. I'm not saying it totally works (it still doesn't for me personally) , but it makes the "i don't have to save you" pill a little easier to swallow.
I have always been disappointed that nolan didn't continue so much of the stuff that worked in the first movie. The Narrows is one of my all-time-favourite set pieces in any batman movie and not only do we never see the narrows again, but I think the fallout from the fear gas attack and subsequent train derailment would have been really cool to explore. But nope! nothing, except like a tiny mention in some online promotional material i read once. And why do the fight scenes suck so bad?
The nolan movies have always been a mixed bag. Hot take: i think the dark knight is the WORST of the trilogy. When Ledger isn't on screen its just dull and lame.
Salazar is the most underrated batman channel on youtube. Why's erbuddy sleepin on this guy? Serious GOAT status. Thank you.
I agree with you 100% dark knight is the most overrated superhero movie of all time.Begins is far superior
Batman prey is the best batman book
What is also missing is Bruce's training to become a formidable investigator. I always disliked that part as well.
Lamest take on batman begins
My only mean issue about this Batman he fights You fights with his elbows 🤣
I can't take anybody that says The Batman is a better movie than Begins seriously. Sorry
There are bad takes throughout the whole video, damn
While Batman Begins is my favourite of the Dark Knight Trilogy, I'm not a fan of Christopher Nolan's work, nor am I a fan of the trilogy as a whole. As for your video, I honestly think it lacks any sort of context for why Batman Begins was made the way it was, beyond "Batman & Robin sucked, so Warner Bros. wanted something different". It also lacks any sort of historical context as to where superhero/comic book based movies were in 2005 when Batman Begins came out, where the comics were at the time, and how people in general felt and thought about Batman in the 2000s. Overall, this video just doesn't fit into your overall history of Batman thing you've got going on here. It just talks about Batman Begins, which people have done to death since TH-cam started.
Oh I hate these movies Dark Knight movies they're not just meh like they were passable in the time of the Bat-drought BUT caused the "ground" self hate the Batman franchise has had since. Just look at Todd Phillips with his Joker movies, The Penguin show runner saying he prefers the show to be seen as a crime drama separate from the Batman franchise and bragging about how they took care to remove things that were too comicbooky, Matt Reeves denouncing the out there of the Batman universe, an interview saying while he knows that Mr Freeze and Clayflace he is challenged by trying to figure how to ground them. Even stating if Clayface is to be done in Cinema should be done in the golden age version where he's just a regular man who is a master of disguise. Parallels what happened to Batman post Frank Miller.
Don’t get me wrong I like the dark knight trilogy but I see where you’re coming from on that I wish we would get a more fantastical Batman instead of the same thing that we’ve been getting for 15 years people think that if they do a more fantastical Batman it’s gonna be goofy as Batman and Robin but that’s not what fantastical means what it means is strange and wonderful, like something out of a story that’s what I would like to see accuracy to the comics but these directors don’t have any kind of respect for the source material or the character that they’re basing their movies off of The animated series was the only one that got it right when it came to Batman and was very accurate to the comics Matt reeves Zack Snyder including James Gunn none of them have a clear understanding of this character like they want us to believe they do.
Nice video. some stuff i didn't agree, tho, but thats okay. But saying that narrows is out of place is a lil too much. Como to any brazilian capital, or to any brazilian city for that matter. Inequallity is a cancer here. luxury buildings just beside the greatests favelas. its brutal, and batman begins depicted this in a perfect way, which was not the case of the next two movies and also for the batman. when i see gotham, i see my country compacted in city.
The "Batman voice" in this movie is simply awful. I cannot believe it made it into the final version. It ruins the whole thing for me.
Batman being is literally the best of the trilogy. People blow smoke up dark knight because the hype culture around it. "Realism", the passing of a certain actor, etc
But if you actually start breaking it down it falls apart especially after you hold it up to standards of realism. Not to mention the sacrifice of core batman
The small mouth area of the mask has always really bothered me 🙃
Another delightful video. As much as I used to put the Nolan movies on a pedestal, I've realized that they are far from perfect and he could do so much better with being subtle with the themes. Mostly with how he'll have subtext as spoken dialogue about the characters rather than things that fans and comic writers would talk about as the meaning of characters
Algorithm comment. You da best
My only complaint was combining Raj Al ghul and Henry ducards characters into one but all WB Batman movies do that. Never understood it
Perhaps, but Begins voice was tolerable until the two movies came out.
