Halo is such an amazing franchise. I first got into it when i was at gamestop for my birthday. I wanted Halo 2 and barely had enough money, a worker there noticed how excited I was and asked if I was goin g to play online. I told him I dont have live or anything but I will once I can afford it. He told me to wait for a minute and walked to the back. Came back with a card and a box. Proceeds to scan both while pushing my cash back to me. Total came out to exactly $103.24. I said I dont have enough for that, he smiles and says if its okay with my mom he will buy this all for me as a birthday gift. My mom and I were socked and she said its okay. He purchased me a headset with controller and a year of live. Told me my game had a month of live as well and told me to enjoy myself. Im 28 years old now so this past October i went to the same gamestop and pre-ordered Halo Infinite as well as a years worth of live for another kid who was just as excited as I was.

Halo 2 MM with Xbox live was the ground work for everything we have today. Example the historic MW2 online play in the late 00's wouldn't exist without Halo 2. And Max's impressive work on it.

Really wish I got to experience the Bungie Halo games at their peaks. I didn't become a Halo fan until 2016 (I was always a COD fanboy lol). The old Bungie Vidocs and podcasts like these make me feel like I'm back in 2004. Looking forward to more!
Spawn influencer system, game types, playlists, custom games, matchmaking, and so many things that could have been but weren't. Max, you were truly ahead of your time. To think what many more amazing things the whole Bungie team could have done had it not been for the hardware limitation of the original Xbox. Bravo, amazing job with the production. It genuinely does not feel as if it is your first time producing something like this. Great work.

As a prototype games junkie it blows when the juicy content is buried in conversations about the final game or super basic facts everyone already knows. Big thanks to Max for opening up and you for creating this podcast. The next episodes sound tantalizing, getting an employee that worked on the campaign to reveal as much as Max would elevate the hype to a whole nother level. Not that multiplayer is dull, single player had more ambitions and revisions as far as I can tell. Don’t forget we already got lots of H2 storyboards, so ask questions that aren’t related to them or get them to elaborate on elements of those sketches that aren’t self explanatory. Could you show any pictures or audio of the development material?
I cannot describe how much I adore Max and everything he did for Halo and gaming as a whole before listening to this. I've watched every interview or vidoc available about the original trilogy and Max's impact cannot be overstated.

The only critique I can offer here is the audio is slightly muted. Cranking it up a bit more would help. Format and presentation besides that is GREAT!
