    TIMESTAMPS:
1:55 -- Talib starts off by asking Meth how he's handling the covid-era, and if he's been experiencing cabin fever with quarantine. He then asks where he gets his continual drive that's made him such a prolific multi-faceted artist in the industry with music as well as acting, Meth speaks on his unchecked bucket list item in landing a role as a Marvel superhero someday, being a long-time dedicated comic book fan since his youth. Jasmin also asks how and when Meth became such a fitness buff.
8:22 -- Meth gets asked about his competitive nature as an emcee, all that being on full display when he linked up with Redman. Meth also admits to KRS-One outdoing him with his energy at a show, they also discuss the classic "M.E.T.H.O.D. Man" song from Wu-Tang Clan's iconic "36 Chambers" album, including the where and how behind creating it and the Hall & Oates inspiration. This also leads Meth to discuss RZA's original vision for the Wu-Tang Clan and how that was modified by adding more members.
17:05 -- Meth illustrates the history of the Park Hill and Stapleton rivalry that was outlined in the “Wu-Tang: An American Saga”, He speaks on when he moved to Stapleton, outlines the factors that led to the tension between the two neighborhoods, and Talib goes on to ask Meth how he feels Dave East is doing in portraying him in the series.
21:04 -- Meth tells about his experiences playing Lacrosse at High School and the racism he experienced while traveling to play other schools. Meth proclaims American schools should be teaching black history throughout the year, how Public Enemy taught him more than any history book, how much he's been inspired by the youth of today, and touches on how powerful the visual of the police department burning was during the protests.
31:37 -- The trio compares and contrasts traditional strategies of creating and pushing social movements versus today's use of the social media, and how that's helped and/or hurt the cause, Talib expresses what he thinks would be the most effective way to get real policy change materialized, Meth speaks on the importance of discussing racism with children at an early age, he talks about how he really feels about police, and lack of black unity, leading him to note the sadness he felt when Outkast got booed at the '95 Source Awards.
37:25 -- Talib brings up Wu-Tang's innovative deal structure with Loud records allowing all the members to branch off and find their own solo deals with other labels. They talk about Meth landing his deal with Def Jam after almost signing with Elektra Records, how Fredro Starr from Onyx had a hand in helping him get on with Def Jam, Meth is asked if he has a favorite version of "All I Need" in Puff's or the original, and he goes on to speak about how the concept of the classic track came together.
41:53 -- Meth talks about being one of the few rappers to ever collaborate on songs with both The Notorious B.I.G. and with Tupac. He goes into detail about what it was like seeing Biggie spit live for the first time while performing at the same venue, how he came to know Big before sneaking out to record "The What" with him. He then transitions into the story behind all the west coast circumstances that led to his appearance on Tupac's "Got My Mind Made Up", how he let Biggie know about it, and why Inspectah Deck was left off the track.
50:53 -- Meth gets into when he first met Tupac at the height of the perceived East Coast/West Coast beef. He illustrates his trip to LA for the Soul Train Awards, and Suge Knight being on the same flight, he outlines his paranoia while hanging out at the House Of Blues, where he ended up having his first words with Pac. Meth also touches on the unspoken influence of old school groups like Whodini, them not getting their due-credit, and goes on to talk about the competitive family dynamic of the Wu-Tang Clan, and how any friction among the members is always short-lived.
56:41 -- Jamsin asks Meth of the countless collaborations he's been a part of, which is favorite, Talib names off what he feels are Meth's most underrated collabs, they chop it up about some of the most impressive recent releases, Meth expresses his interest in working with more young artists in bridging the hip-hop generation gap, they touch on Houston rapper Trae The Truth's leadership in pushing social change, Michael Moore's film on Flint's water crisis, Donald Trump in hip hop, Meth gives his take on Trump's presidency, and has some words for ADOS's Candace Owens.
1:05:46 -- Meth is asked how the iconic "Method Man & Redman" empire was established after their collaboration on just one song together with 1995's "How High". He speaks on how they formed their comradery, discusses the versatility of Red and how naturally funny he is. Meth also reflects on his experience working on the movie 'Belly' as Shameek, and lessons learned while playing Cheese in 'The Wire'. He also digs into filming 'How High', the producer's reaction to him and Red's daily blunt breaks at lunch, and outlines a point during filming when he couldn't keep it together.
1:13:53 -- Meth reveals his favorite female emcee holding down the culture right now, he talks about the power of Jay-Z & Beyonce, Talib brings up Jay's Hard Knock Tour, and how much he loved Meth and Red's performance suspended in the air while flying high over the crowd, and Meth talks about what it was like being on that tour, and outlines some hilarious backstage antics with Red, Jay, & DMX.
1:17:59 -- Talib asks Meth where he lands on the responsibility of celebrities speaking out during this time of social unrest. They discuss people believing celeb trolling equals activism, why it's out of context to question what they've done for the cause, who we should really be looking to for leadership at times of social change, Meth touches on Police "snitch" hypocrisy, and they discuss cops and their complaints of blurred lines on what's considered excessive force.
27:55 -- Meth gives us insight on what he has coming down the pipe-line music-wise, which includes him linking back up with producer Rockwilder to remake some of hip-hop's most iconic songs. They go on to talk about Rockwilder's signature use of keyboards, Meth mentions his experience working in the HBO series "The Deuce", and ends with a special shout-out to all the female emcees coming up.

I’m from a small village in Ukraine, I’m 23 now and the first time when I heard Wu-Tang was in 2006. My father’s friend brought the CD from USA and I was so stunned by it. It was so different from Russian rock or any other popular genre at the time. Then, one year later I got the Talib’s CD. Now watching my childhood heroes talking to each other I’m having one of the best experiences in my life. Thank you for all these years of music and this podcast!👐

This interview deserves an award. Meth is a great guy to interview. I have never heard Talib and Jasmine speak so little which is testament to Meth. You can see why he’s always been seen as the spokesman for the Wu Tang Clan even going back to the 36 Chambers.

The main thing that resonates for me - as a fellow 80s child/teen - is how much of a Connoisseur/Renaissance Man Meth is. Meth has so many entertainment/media/culture references like most us : Rock/Soul/Funk/Punk/Pop....You were just as comfortable listening to Hall & Oates, The Clash, & the Cure as you would be James Brown, MJ, & Prince.

I’m the same age as Meth. So when he says that everything use to stop and Run Run Shaw was watching your kids for two hours, he’s talking about the Saturday drive inn Kung fu flicks that use to come on television in NYC in the early eighties. I can remember that like it was yesterday. You can be outside playing with your friends but once it hits 2:30pm all of the kids was racing back to their house so that they can watch the drive inn Kung fu flick that came on at 3:00pm-5:00 pm.It was mostly the boys going home to watch them cause the girls wasn’t really into the Kung fu flicks. And for those two hours (3:00pm-5:00pm), you did not see not one young boy outside, cause they was all in the crib watching the Kung fu flick. And if you did see a young boy outside at that time, he was with his parents and they was taking him somewhere. And you can bet that that kid was mad cause he was missing the flick. Lmao The Drive inn cinema showed a new Kung fu flick every Saturday for at least 4 years. And then when the flick went off all the boys will go back outside and would try and do the moves that they just saw in the Kung Fu flick .And this was in every borough of NYC not just one. Then I remember one day I went to watch the Kung fu flick at 3:00 and there was an entirely different show other than a Kung Fu flick on.I tuned in at 3:00 for the next few weeks, but it was always something else other than an Kung Fu flick. And that’s when it hit me, that they had stopped putting the Kung fu flicks on.No more Saturday drive inn Kung fu flick. I think that, that was probably one of the saddest days in my life lol.4 years, we had a good run. Damn, Meth bright back some memories for me. The good Ol days growing up in NY. Peace to Method Man aka the panty raider, hot nicks, ticallion stallion, Johnny blaze, Mr. Meth, etc. Queens Get The Money (QGTM) NY is #1

Love the comment about outkast being booed, that shit was sad. Andre was on point and still to this day one of the most ahead of his time artist with the illest flows and legitimate flows. This is the continuation of real hip hop and black culture. Thanks Talib! Peace to SUPERNAT

When Method Man was mentioning the "Saturday Kung Fu Matinee" he mentioned Run Run Shaw.
As far as I'm concerned, two entities are the sole reason old school Kung Fu films have a massive audience: Wu-Tang Clan and Run Run Shaw
I thought that was very intelligent and generous for Method Man to mention him 🏮

29:56 I was so proud of my children and other children during this time, something we instilled in them was fight not flight. Some of us did educate our children and they pass it on and I'm here for their fight.

Method Man has been my favorite Wu Tang member since Protect Ya Neck and he still is from his lyrical finesse, his acting ability, and to his fitness lifestyle. He’s a legendary Shaolin member who’s placed a huge dent in Hip Hop with his clan mates and with his solo career.

People forget the guys in Griselda aren’t that young even though they’re new to the spotlight. They didn’t have to do as much studying as you would think from newer artists. Love what they’re doing though.

Great show. This is for Meth. Red & Meth did a show here in New Orleans (HOB) some years back...Method man stopped the show bc he wasn't pleased with the crowd's reaction to their performance " we give you energy, you give it back to us" and he stopped the show twice due to this. Meth...its New Orleans bruh bruh. You have no idea how many sociopath were on the crowd that came to see y'all. We dont jump around like that in small venues. You askin' to get murdered. But I still enjoyed somewhat of seeing my fav rap gang. Much love. Magnolia!
