This is what I love about IndyCar. They have so much information on everything, everyone and its exciting as a viewer watching from the tv. F1 are still miles behind on the kind of info they give compared to Indy. Also Poor Wickens, that should've been his win.
It's never big there. Mainly because the track sucked until last race and some tracks are like that for the IndyCar series. But this aero kit is muy bueno. So I'm sure the stands are gonna grow over the next couple of years.
I love Indycar but i did not think this was a great race due to the one groove race track.some good performances by Wickens,Rossi,Newgarden a good win! i do however also hate the late race cautions which seems to be a recipe for a mishap like St.Petersburg! Cheers to all Indycar fans!
Bruh this wasn't the best race, but it was pretty good. But for Phoenix's standards, this is even better. It still isn't perfect due to how difficult it is to pass on this track and really only 2 or 3 drivers could pass well through the field and some didn't figure out until the end. Lower banking IMO. But I was not expecting this. This is just a preview to how good the racing may be.
Indycars on road courses (like Formula 1) are fun to watch. The ovals (like NASCAR) are boring... like watching marbles roll around the bottom of a bucket. I've even stopped going to the Indy 500. But I still go to the Indy GP a couple of weeks earlier.
Dale VanCleef The ovals show a different skill set. It's easy to imagine yourself driving on a road course but the speed retention on an oval is not only nerve racking but the passing takes on a different tenor. Comparing nascar oval racing to open wheel ovals is a disservice to your enjoyment of auto racing. It may not be your cup of tea but it's a worth while style of track.
Trey Hinds - I agree completely. I did not intend to make light of the skill, talent and bravery required to drive the ovals. I was raised going to "Saturday Night Shootouts" at our local (now gone) short track. Sundays were spent racing motocross or watching drag racing (at a track that is also now gone). I've been to the Indy 500 at least 20 times. I enjoy almost any type of racing. I do not, however, enjoy crashes. And it seems that, lately, the only excitement on the ovals comes from crashes. There is nothing more boring than Yellow Flag laps. Lately, F1, sportscars and MotoGP are what I enjoy most. I also got to see MotoGP at Indy a couple of times. You are completely right, though. The fact that oval racing isn't (currently) my "cup of tea" doesn't diminish it.
Cristiano Furlan that would be awesome, but only if it's with a top team otherwise he would just be stuck in the rear to mid field . Might be Kimmies last season though.
Haas has been low key looking for an American driver. I know they said they didn’t think any one was ready. I think they may have to reconsider after seeing how good Newgarden is.
