Well, that was a good race. And the last time they were RACING at Long Beach is... I don't remember. They seem to really got it right with these new cars. Kudos. A solid 7/10. Bourdais was the man of the race of course, pity about his finishing position.

I love street tracks and I love indycar. Long Beach is a fun race to watch compared to the China GP. You would'nt see a F1 drivier doing the kind of pass Bourdais did on lap 48
Gottta say it...swap the digital RPM display with the gear indicator "slide graph." Irks me and likely many others lol. Thanks for posting this! I missed it live and love alternative media! Great race.
Rossi is all about good racing strategy, remember his indy 500 win with very little fuel spared. He should be in F1 car now (either with haas or williams). Also, is it time to repave the track? Would really love to see the climbing section back too.
Was kinda funny to see Bourdais get tail-jacked when his nose camera was onscreen. That's racing-you think you got something going, then....NOPE...gone, in an eyeblink. I'm sure there was some highly inventive French cursing on the radio after that...
I do believe that a lot of people can watch this kind of racing until the end of the race without getting bored for a split-second. And I also do believe that it must be thrilling to chase eachother with these speeds. And perhaps it's an addiction.
It was packed at Long Beach. Was sitting in section 36 along the straight and it was so good. I was hoping TK could have done some work and climbed at the end, but it wasn't to be.
There are no blue flags in Indycar, just blue flags with a yellow stripe. A blue flag with yellow stripe is just a warning that you a lapping car is behind you, but there is no requirement to pull over for them.
Sucks Bourdais had to give those positions back. I'd say fair play to Indycar for enforcing the rules, but after they didn't penalize Pagenaud a few years back after he clearly crossed the pit exit line illegally after a pit stop I just can't see any consistency.

Still can't believe Bourdais made that move stick 2 times going into Turn 1. Shows why he's a 4-time IndyCar champion.
Very exciting race. I felt like I was watching a race from the mid-90's. IndyCar is back!

I'm so glad they ruled that crazy awesome pass by Bourdais illegal, just so we could see him do it again.
My thoughts exactly, in the same spot too.
When you pull a pass that will end up on highlight films for years only to find it is" illegal" that is race control over good racing.
Wow...that Move by Bourdais was incredible! The best if have seen in a long time. Passing three cars inside a few meters...magic breaking. Just magic.

Really bad call by the stewards on the Bourdais pass. Two wheels over and absolutely no advantage gained does not warrant a wave-around. Shameful.
