    This was just what I was looking for. Thank you very much. No doubt when you do a couple of books you will be able to get creative with your works. Thankyou very much. I want to do 3 of these for daughter-in-law and daughters. Some pages for pretty pieces and some for needle case and threads etc.

    Wonderful video! Great idea to show how to attach the tabs to the outer covers in the beginning! It’s so very helpful to see the different journals you have that are similar but with slight variations to the one you’re making. Dotty Bee sent us to see how you constructed the journal. She’s used your method for a journal she’s talking about. ❤

    A great Vlog, thank you Corrine, thorough instructions. I happen to have 3 old hard cover readers digest books (they now come in a soft cover, my Mum gets them regularly) I’m also converting an old photo album into one of these books so I can add my Anne Brooke’s 52 tags….😊

    Hi again Corinne! 😂 im wondering how you attach your front covers to the outside of the journal and also, how do you attach your work to the pages?
    Oh, and also the fold outs in the front and back?
    Cheers Noni

      Hi.. I use a glue stick to attach a completes piece to the cover .. all the other areas I stitch them to the pages. I guess the basic rule I follow if you can’t stitch it in ., glue it!

      Base Fabric or support fabrics is alway calico.. that’s the name in Australia.. homespun is another name.

  • @StarryDiadem
    @StarryDiadem 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

    Hi! Great tutorial - I'm new to this, but your video was v. clear and helpful.
    I was wondering about attached an embroidery to the front (and back!) cover. The calico you used on the hard book cover is quite tightly attached after you glued it down, and the tab will go under the cover decoration to hide it - so the cover decoration comes after the book is constructed unless the tab is highly decorated and can become a part of the decoration. Adding an embroidery later, to tightly-glued down calico ... a curved needle to make invisible stitches to hold it in place? Is that what you'd recommend?

    Hi Corrine, thank you for putting this into one video for reference. A quick questions- In the larger book that you showed how many signature did you add or what would be the a rough signature for a book about 7 x 9 inch. i think i counted 3 signatures. does that sound right?

    • @tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine
      @tobelovedtreasuresbycorrine  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yeah that’s correct.. 3 signatures can be 4 stitcheries per signature.. so 12 is plenty

      The blue glue stick is from my local office supplies and Woolworths if you are in Australia. They are student quality glues.
