I think someone has to be purely materialistic to think it’s better to be sad in luxury than happy without luxuries. I left a life of luxury when I left my abusive husband and don’t miss those things at all, because when you’re crying from misery it doesn’t matter that you’re in Rolls Royce or Aston Martin - you just want to be happy and for tears to stop.
I'd rather be happy on a bike in places where they design travel to be bike + car + affordable-public-transport friendly, so you don't *need* a car. Not having to worry about car insurance, maintenance costs, gas prices.... the dream.
I agree. I think the sad thing is there are some people out there that are unable to be happy without money. So, they truly have to be rich because they cannot find happiness with other people or in the simple things in life. Making money is the only way they will ever enjoy anything on this Earth, unfortunately.😥💔 It's very sad to think about.
Quality designer products, are so well made that they last forever. The crap the rest of us wear is the problem. It's disposable. They don't last and we have to keep buying and buying and buying and buying. You should go and see what this level of quality is. You'd be very surprised.

You should do a video on the case of Sandy Rae who went missing in Shawnee, OK in 1984. This is a cold case and the family could use some help speeding the word about Sandy so they can finally find answers about what happened to her. This is actually not the only unsolved missing persons case from this town. Melody Garton went missing in 1983 from her home as well and the family has no answers on what happened to her either.
I was in Milan a couple of years ago and my boyfriend, who is from there, pointed out to me that we were walking right where M. Gucci had been shot. Being a true crime lover, I felt a bit of a thrill. None of these Gucci people come across as particularly nice ("It's better to cry in a Rolls Royce than be happy on a bike"??), but Gucci as a brand , just like Versace, epitomised Italian chic in the world for years. Those early days handbags and luggage... 😍. However, I can't emphasise enough what Tom Ford did for the Gucci brand: does anyone remember Madonna in the silk blouse, skinny fit trousers and high-heeled mid calf boots? I think it was early to mid 90s and that outfit was stunning for that time!
I tried posting a link in a comment just above but I'm having a tec glitch. Try googling Tom Ford Gucci 1995. There are photos of Madonna sporting that look and also models on the catwalk.

I love the Valastro family from Cake Boss, they seem wholesome..but then again, you never really know what goes on behind closed doors. I love your videos Kendall! You are an amazing storyteller. ❤️
I was a bit confused by the movie, the sequence of events and Maurizio downfall was not explained very well. this true-crime doc really helped me understand it better. Thanks
You should consider doing a series of famous luxury brands backstories in the future! You did so well on the Gucci family, I’d love to hear other luxury brand back stories. Amazing video as always Kendall!
Thank you Kendall for telling this story! I’m Italian and living and working in Milan, I see the door where Maurizio was murdered every day. Also, the villa you see in the movie as the villa where Rodolfo Gucci lived is just around the corner… I can’t believe I’ve missed all of the actors while filming 😫 Your Italian pronunciation was quite good 😉
Regarding time served behind bars, I’m Italian and I know it could be pretty confusing for outsiders. We actually have a problem of overpopulation in jails, so unfortunately sometimes people get released earlier than expected under “good behaviour” or “work permit” if they are considered not an immediate threat for society (they are not likely to commit the same crime again in the future). Sometimes if the crimes are not violent, the sentence is most likely to be converted to house arrest. Anyways, most sentences are recalculated after some time because we have lots of degree of judgment, so you can easy appeal the sentence and some changes may occur. I’m not into the law area, so I share my understanding of things as a common citizen.
Pedos and rapists get out after 5 months lol sit down, she is not a danger to society, it was a passion killing and while killing someone is bad he was a selfish cheating pos

lately i’ve been getting a bit frustrated with TC content creators and their thumbnails. some have been really bad. i’m so sick of creators using a not good picture of a victim and then posing next to them with a thinking face. and i say that with love. it needs to stop, it’s so tone deaf and weird. thank you for not doing that. sometimes you do a little but it’s more with ones that aren’t as seriously?? idk i just want to thank you for having more tasteful thumbnails because lately i’ve been seeing some really crumby ones
like even your regular videos where you may pose this way, you’re not being dramatic you’re just posing and you use a nice photo of the victim. the one vid that upset me recently the person used a really rough photo that just felt disrespectful ya know? so , thank you for not doing that
I noticed that with a recent video by Brooke McKenna. She made a video about an indigenous murder victim and she used a really distasteful thumbnail picture of the dying victim contorted front and center next to her. It left a sour taste in my mouth. It just seems icky when TC creators do it for clickbait and shock value.

Snuggled up in bed ready to listen. You have such a perfect story voice! Amazing work you do with every video. Thoughts of everyone involved. Keep being you 💜
This whole story is so messed up! The hard work of a man ended up a whole chain of pain and family drama. Also i am not surprised patricia was the one who ended up hiring someone to murder Mauricio. It’s like almost everyone in the family was just plain evil and greedy. This is one of those cases where you just find so hard to feel sorry for everyone involved 😖
you explained this case so well! here in Italy she has talked recently ab Maurizio and said that he had a weak personality and this new woman won him over, so for the love of her daughters she started searching for a killer bc she can’t shoot. so everything was intentional. while she was in jail, after some medical exams they found out that due to the brain tumor that she had, she doesn’t have a part of the brain anymore
I don't know how you could call Maurizio, or anyone for that matter, cowardly for getting someone else to tell Patrizia he's divorcing her when literally in the prior and following sentences you said he feared that she would kill/have him killed and then you told us *_how_* she reacted to it. *For* *_years._*
@@H20-t3g still doesn’t condone the fact his ex was planning his murder. Cheating is a no no, but shouldn’t result in taking someone’s life. That’s crazy.
I was surprised that they didn't include Maurizios' behaviour towards Patricia and his daughters. He really was a dickhead. I also left a cinema feeling like they tried to portray Patricia as a manipulation master behind his 'business' moves.
His wife was to obsessed with being rich, she should of been arrested years ago, how after you arranged for a hit on your hubby you only serve 18 years, she should have gotten life
@@pussydestroyer69285 no she’s served a percent of her sentence probably never got into anything while there and got out on good behavior. Lots of prisons are this way
In many European countries, a “life sentence” is somewhere between 20 and 25 years. So 18 seems quite appropriate here. I don’t know about Italy specifically, though.
@@Iwasjustwondering89 and in France for example a crime with passion lowers the sentence because you are not with a clear mind while committing the crime (not my words)
I remember years ago my older more "distinguished" cousin saying she wanted a Gucci product for Christmas one year. So I, being a copycat of hers wrote a Christmas list for my mom that I wanted a "Gootchie" item for Christmas as well. I was like 9 and had no idea what it even was. Lol. I've not seen this movie yet but I need to. I loved the clip of Lady Gaga saying "Father, Son and House of Gucci" such a great and funny line.
Hi Kendall! Thanks for the amazing video! As an Italian, I’d like to explain why the movie was not that well received in Italy (I liked it a lot though!): Lady Gaga’s accent (she was great IMHO!) sounds a lot more Russian than Italian, and the random words in Italian were very weird. But mostly, it’s how Italy is depicted: it seems more a “let’s show how Italy is commonly seen”, rather then how it really was: the Vespa, for example, Maurizio uses to go around was a “normal with not that much money people” thing, so it’s improbable he used it (but with Roman Holidays it’s believed to be the standard); the food truck in front of the Duomo in Milan is not an Italian thing (Italians go to the bar-the coffee shop, and the food they order is not Milan-style at all); the beginning and the end are clearly shot in Rome (in a well known place, even), and not in Milan where Maurizio was murdered, and many other things. This said, I really liked the movie (I admit, except for Jared Leto), and your pronunciation was really good! Thank you so much!!
Personally I liked gaga's accent, to me it was one of the strongest in the cast. (I'm also italian) she worked from a very specific Italian accent in Northern italy which people can confuse it with sounding European. My family speak similar, so we enjoyed and laughed because she sounds just like my nonna (when she speaks english)... she isn't from here or lived but considering we thought she did good. I get some of the other points about the places and such but personally, it didn't ruin my experience and I didn't have a huge issue with it. Overall we all really enjoyed and had fun. I will say I agree about Leto, cringed many times when he was on screen.
I watch the movie at the cinema twice also and found it fabulous! The acting by everyone was superb…the ending song, baby can I hold you sung by Pavarotti and Tracy Chapman was so powerful and meaningful, brought a sad ending to a sad, very sad story.
I'm happy on a bike right now - I wouldn't change it for "crying in a Rolls Royce" ever! :) Great video again, thank you so much Kendall! I love listening to your voice while I work 💚

I can't ride a bike so I'll take my rolls royce with some ice cream too🤣
Kendall Rae! You are a great narrator. You were able to get to all points in a clear and concise manner. You summed up the movie in a effortless way.
Thank you so much 🥲🥲🥲
I hate companies like this that burn or destroy extra products that were never bought. Economics supply and demand.
It’s horrible
Quality designer products, are so well made that they last forever. The crap the rest of us wear is the problem. It's disposable. They don't last and we have to keep buying and buying and buying and buying. You should go and see what this level of quality is. You'd be very surprised.
I can't express how much your videos help me out through my day! Thank you Kendall for all you do!!
I could use 1 a day...just kidding Kandall Rae😉
Awwww thank you! This means so much ❤️🥰
im watching this right after the video you told us you are pregnant. I cant help but feel so overwhelmed with joy! Im so proud of you! I've been following you for a while now and even though we have never met I feel like I've watched you accomplish so much. You are an inspiration. Thank you.
You should do a video on the case of Sandy Rae who went missing in Shawnee, OK in 1984. This is a cold case and the family could use some help speeding the word about Sandy so they can finally find answers about what happened to her. This is actually not the only unsolved missing persons case from this town. Melody Garton went missing in 1983 from her home as well and the family has no answers on what happened to her either.
they changed quite a lot of things in the movie compared to the book. it was actually wayyy more complicated in reality.
What is the name of the book!?
I could listen to Kendall talk true crime for hours, no matter what mood I’m in!
I tried Googling this outfit with "madonna Gucci" and couldn't find it.
@@AmandaVieiraMamaesouCult I'll see if I can find it for you later 😊. At that time it was the non-plus-ultra of chic! 🤩
I tried posting a link in a comment just above but I'm having a tec glitch.
Try googling Tom Ford Gucci 1995. There are photos of Madonna sporting that look and also models on the catwalk.
1st of all just can't resist to say that all the 3 sets of kendallrae channel & The sesh & mile higher... Just loved it... Makes it more relaxing n cozy to watch... Gives meaning to being homies 🥰 N listening yo u 3 is kinda therapy... Love u all ❤️
"Better to cry in a rolls royce than to be happy on a bicycle" lol !!!!! I feel that
Ahhhhh! I have been hoping you would do this since November!! 😩❤️ I’m so excited! Thank you beauty! ❤️
Oooh love your content too Sherrilyn!
I loved you too, Sherrilyn! You are amazing girlie, keep on keepin on!!!
Ahhh! 😭❤️ thank you so much ladies! I’m so honoured to be sharing space in the community with these Queeeens! ❤️
Watching one of my favorite channels, and commenting on one of my other favorite ladies with an amazing True Crime Channel 💕🥰
Aw I love knowing my fave true crime content creators watch eachother!
Ps. Sheeilyn you so deserve to be among the community!
Guess this is what people mean when they say that family and business don't mix well. Too competitive instead of working together.
Yes please!!!!
she did one on the murder of gianni versace
I am not a brand person but this is a story that really should have been a mini series what a wonderful cast of actors
Thank you Kendall for telling this story! I’m Italian and living and working in Milan, I see the door where Maurizio was murdered every day. Also, the villa you see in the movie as the villa where Rodolfo Gucci lived is just around the corner… I can’t believe I’ve missed all of the actors while filming 😫 Your Italian pronunciation was quite good 😉
It sounds like money made them crazy. Made them lose realization of what really matters in life. It's sad.
so early! have loved your channel for years Kendall :))
I've always stated something quite the opposite of Patrizia. I'd rather be poor with love & happiness than rich, alone & sad...
This story is so insane, like she was actually convicted and sentenced and she's out, that is honestly so wild
She actually served a lot of time. There are people who only serve 5 years for murder in America.
Most people who commit crimes of passion are released eventually
@@rialimpe ipter
Pedos and rapists get out after 5 months lol sit down, she is not a danger to society, it was a passion killing and while killing someone is bad he was a selfish cheating pos
I'm just scrolling through these comments and realized how many you actually reply to and that's just really very amazing. You're very in touch with your audience and we all adore you, it seems like you really do appreciate us. I feel like once they get a little fame, alot of content creators forget to appreciate the people who have supported them and you know, kind of got them where they are. Also I love your variety of content! True crime, supernatural phenomenon, especially the stories of reincarnation- you keep us educated and interested always. Thank you🖤
I've heard about how this was a true crime case but never really wanted to hear the details unless you told the story because I love how you are more accurate than anyone else
lately i’ve been getting a bit frustrated with TC content creators and their thumbnails. some have been really bad. i’m so sick of creators using a not good picture of a victim and then posing next to them with a thinking face. and i say that with love. it needs to stop, it’s so tone deaf and weird. thank you for not doing that. sometimes you do a little but it’s more with ones that aren’t as seriously?? idk i just want to thank you for having more tasteful thumbnails because lately i’ve been seeing some really crumby ones
like even your regular videos where you may pose this way, you’re not being dramatic you’re just posing and you use a nice photo of the victim. the one vid that upset me recently the person used a really rough photo that just felt disrespectful ya know? so , thank you for not doing that
I noticed that with a recent video by Brooke McKenna. She made a video about an indigenous murder victim and she used a really distasteful thumbnail picture of the dying victim contorted front and center next to her. It left a sour taste in my mouth. It just seems icky when TC creators do it for clickbait and shock value.
@@TheWholeEntireCake that is EXACTLY the video i’m talking about. i’m really glad someone else agrees
@@TheWholeEntireCake you’re spot on. that’s exactly what i’m getting at. it’s just really gross and upsetting and her latest thumbnail is too much. i’m so sick of content creators making thumbnails like that
@@TheWholeEntireCake and kendall’s don’t seem like they’re for shock value as much as others and i’m grateful for that
Now Patricia gone be crying in a prison cell instead of a rolls royce 😂😂😂
My first thought when the trailer came out was “I hope Kendall covers this soon” YOU DELIVERED
I just bought the book two weeks ago! Super excited to read it! Thank you for telling this story. I didn’t watch the movie since it was reported the Gucci family was against it. Love this !
the family was also against the book.. which the movie was inspired by.
Well of course they would be against it, they aren't exactly portrayed in the best light lol. I wouldn't let that stop you from watching the film.
This should have been a Netflix show. They could have made a full season with all the details
Mmhm aghh could not find the words
There’s no doubt my day gets a lot better when I get a notification that Kendall just posted a new video! No matter what I’m watching, more often than not I’ll pause everything to watch whatever she has for us. Thanks for the amazing content, you are awesome!
💜💜💜 thank you!
So… I DVRed the _People Magazine Investigates_ special on this case back in late November/early December. I kept thinking I’d watch the movie first but that didn’t happen so I finally folded and watched the TV show… yesterday. I watched it just yesterday and now today Kendall releases a video on it as well. If I had just waited one more day I might not have even watched the TV show but I will watch Kendall’s episode because they’re always so well done and an inspiration to me. I’m still working on getting my own channel going and I aspire to be a professional like her while still maintaining my compassion & empathy, like she does as well.
Thank you Kendall it's so sweet and honorable that you what do helping these people find justice and the truth out there about there very tragic stories we appreciate you girl 🥰 xx
So happy to be here!! Thank you for this episode ! You’re a gift!
you explained this case so well! here in Italy she has talked recently ab Maurizio and said that he had a weak personality and this new woman won him over, so for the love of her daughters she started searching for a killer bc she can’t shoot. so everything was intentional. while she was in jail, after some medical exams they found out that due to the brain tumor that she had, she doesn’t have a part of the brain anymore
Maybe the part of her brain that was removed was responsible for her killing her husband? He was also the father of her children.
Kendall - Twice within a week. You are spoiling us dear. I’m looking forward to this story. I haven’t seen the movie.
This story is soooo interesting to me, who knew the brand had such a dark past
This story only has one valuable lesson to learn: don't let money get in the way of family.
Don't let your family get in the way of your MONEY!!!!
Yea I agree. His ex wife was crazy. I would have sent someone to announce the divorce as well. He had no choice
No it was still cowardly behavior. He cheated more than once so he wasn't that scared of her.
@@H20-t3g still doesn’t condone the fact his ex was planning his murder. Cheating is a no no, but shouldn’t result in taking someone’s life. That’s crazy.
Good point.
@@candy2325 She spoke of killing him for many years even to her lawyer. That was crazy but also a tad comical.
I was surprised that they didn't include Maurizios' behaviour towards Patricia and his daughters. He really was a dickhead. I also left a cinema feeling like they tried to portray Patricia as a manipulation master behind his 'business' moves.
Where did you get that info about him being a “dickhead” towards his daughters ? All the material I’ve read states exactly the opposite.
I’ve been binging all day, this is just what I needed 😫❤️
I Love you so Kendall! My fiancé and I watch you every Sunday and have almost seen everyone of your videos! You truly are one of my inspirations 💜
His wife was to obsessed with being rich, she should of been arrested years ago, how after you arranged for a hit on your hubby you only serve 18 years, she should have gotten life
Definitely one of the privileges that women have
@@pussydestroyer69285 no she’s served a percent of her sentence probably never got into anything while there and got out on good behavior.
@@lisa11051996 Makes sense to me.
GOOTCHIE LOL! Amazing
That’s hilarious 😂
@@kwizatzhannahrach yeah idk why I still remember that but I do lol
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
@@thisisnotbilly2189 no, exactly, I liked it too, and was not bothered by anything, but I know many who were.
Yesss
I watch the movie at the cinema twice also and found it fabulous! The acting by everyone was superb…the ending song, baby can I hold you sung by Pavarotti and Tracy Chapman was so powerful and meaningful, brought a sad ending to a sad, very sad story.
So much content! Thank you Kendall!
YESSS IVE BEEN WAITING FOR THIS THANK U
Driving back home from a work travel , and Kendall posts a video… my life really is worth living.
I'm happy on a bike right now - I wouldn't change it for "crying in a Rolls Royce" ever! :) Great video again, thank you so much Kendall! I love listening to your voice while I work 💚
I have a pair of Gucci sunglasses, and a shirt. I’ve always liked the brand and knew just a little about the scandals and murder and I did watch and enjoy the movie, you’re wonderful at what you do so thank you for this video :)
Actually haven’t seen the movie yet but after this, I’ll be watching it. What a wild family - literally the epitome of “money is the root of all evil”
This was so interesting! I know you mainly do crime but doing the history of the companies we know today would be really cool!
You should do the story of Von Dutch next! It’s a crazy story with some murder & shady people!
They've done a series about this, it's either on netflix or prime. I 100% reccomened
Dear Kendall, I've been following you for ever, I do really love your video and they've been such a help in so many moments of my life! Also, I'm Italian and I'd really like to thank you for your comment at the beginning of this video - as always, you do care about everyone!
I am like you Kendall, I do not participate in name brand or high fashion. The history of these companies are fascinating.
Same here. I couldn't care less about name brands. I like quality, but would rather shop at thrift stores or eBay.
And leather is stretched dead animal skin 🤢
Go to target or Walmart. Then go to a Gucci store. You may change your mind
@@sharondiaz137 I really won't. To be fair I don't shop at Walmart either because it's a disgusting company that only exists because of unfettered capitalistic slave wages. I am not American. Drama in an Italian family...you don’t say?!?!? I think EVERY Italian family had some kind of crazy drama. We are very passionate people that cannot hide our feelings.
As an Italian, I agree!!
I love all your videos, thank you for this one! Lots of love from Spain❤

Literally absorbing allllll the content and info about this as I possibly could and then you go and make a video about it. Ask and Kendall will make sure you shall receive ❤️🙏
😀❤️
So sad that Maurizio sold out to Investcorp. I will cherish my bags that my mother had left even more as those were purchased at the time Gucci was owned by the family.
"It's better to cry in a Rolls-Royce than be happy on a bicycle" 🤔. Interesting idea but I think I'll take happiness on a bicycle thanks 😅
I’d take the bike 🚲 any day.
Who would choose to give up happiness for money? I would choose being poor and happy over being rich and miserable any day! Not that I think all rich people are miserable, just responding to her quote.
Money may not buy happiness, but the lack of money definitely brings about misery.
Happy Sunday girl 😘 I hope your week is fabulous and I'm looking forward to the The Sesh, Mile Higher and Lightsout this coming week 💞
I remember watching a show on Investigation Discovery about this case & thinking they should make a movie. So glad they did. Enjoyed your take on this case too.
