When we were dealing with my wife's cancer, we had a retired agent tell us that they always denied a claim. Most people would give up and go away. Some would re-file the claim and they would deny again. Most of those people would give up and go away. A few would file a 3rd time, and those were the claims they would pay, because those people would never give up and go away. My wife was one of those, and we got 90% of our $500,000 medical bills paid. Lesson: don't give up.
If you don't give up and eventually win don't you end up getting backpay to the time when you first applied?
Another thing these companies try and do is keep sending you away till you're too sick or dead to get paid.
@@TheJeracuda That is Social security disability. He's talking medical insurance.
@@johnunsicker7440 I assumed it would be the same guess I was wrong
It’s not illegal for an Insurance company to cheat you out of your claim but if you cheat them it’s Insurance Fraud and you can go to jail!
*Immediately starts figuring out how to switch my insurance from Allstate*
You are smart in doing that!!!
They are all horrible, it's your level of being ripped off that you chose. Some insurance companies prefer certain shops, and if you have some around ask shops which is the one they prefer to deal with.
Are there any good insurance companies? I've had progressive for 25 years.
Allstate are thugs home insurance is worse.
You don't want their insurance on your home either from them
45 years as a paint and bodyman. I always hated dealing with All-State. I guess some things never change.
Yeh. All-State sucks. I guess they all kinda suck really though.
Nationwide is another garbage one
@@trentmoseley geico arx program was always good to me when i worked in the body shop
I worked in a body shop 50 years ago and the insurance company was noted as being the same then as today. Well, at least they are consistent.
You would think with a full frame swap they would pony up for sandblast and paint on the frame. It’s going to be the first thing rusted out. Love your work. Good crew!
Robby's use of Fred as a frame puller was genius. It's also cool how he gives shout-outs to others for doing a good job. That's humble leadership.
On a random note, Steve does a really good job getting shots of stuff in tight spaces.
Starting to see why trucks are getting in to the $80k range.
Insurance companies are just legalized racketeering.
I love all the legalese about Robbie's opinion. If anyone should know about the auto insurance industry it's him!
I only watch these videos to hear the boss giggling😎
Robby , I was in the body shop business also. I totally agree with you Allstate is by far the worst insurance company I ever worked with! Just my opinion they are a criminal enterprise.
Hillybilly:" It's going to be a Dalmation." Loved it :))
Insurance companies always go to scam you !
👍Thx Robbie
It might have been a good idea to paint the new frame with Por-15 rust converter before the parts were moved over.
Think he said they getting paid to swap frame. They weren’t doing a restoration. But, if mine I’d paid extra for it to be done.
I thought they would at least hit it with a rattle can tbh, like while it's out?
Hillbilly and Colton did a super job on the Dodge!! Man, I had no idea the new trucks were so much work to get apart.... just to find all the damage! Robby you are truly a master at your job!!
Missing Ernie!!! Fun video!!
You are absolutely right about ALLSNAKE INSURANCE. Like this truck, my dad's truck was rearended by another driver insured by this snake oil company and they gave him the runaround the first week and then went dark. My dad's own insurance co. ended up covering the repairs and is now trying to recover their money.
You have an awesome team Roby! Thank you for sharing
Robby has the knowledge of someone 2 times his age his talents are impressive
Perhaps he's actually really old and just looks young, he's like preserved from all the wonderful PPG chemicals 😂
Robby, you guys know your business! I think probably one of the best collision repair shops around! Insurance companys dont need to question your honesty! They only need to trust the ability that what you do is going to be factory right when the customer gets the vehicle back. Til next time, see you then. 😊
Nice video. Colby is an awesome addition to the team.👍👍
Loads of fun ,itemizing the actual parts, to get the job done right. Have a good week and count your blessings amen
Started watching from Matt’s off road and now I enjoy this channel also
Wow thats just unbelievable how much work and taking apart on that high country just to see how much actual damage was done from a direct hit to the left rear corner
The Panhard bar was first engineered by the Panhard automobile company of France. A Panhard bar stabilizes the axle of a vehicle, allowing the wheels to move up and down, but not laterally (left to right).
We have ALFA, I hit a deer in my 2019 Ram last year and they fixed EVERYTHING with factory parts. No questions asked. In the end, it was $12k worth of damage. The body shop raved about how good they were to deal with.
I like learning about your body work skills and knowledge. it’s why I view your channel. Not not because of the other stuff.
Yayyyy more collision work. Thank you Robby, I love seeing this stuff.
At my age, I just do NOT have the patience for all of that anymore lol....Great job guys!
Love your channel. Can't wait to see Fred the newest member of the recovery crew finished. I need a truck like that...
Good William Shatner Impression at 26m. "DIS-ASSEMBLE, A, BED,..." lol Keep up the great work. Strength! GODspeed!
A few videos back I said Robby talked way to much and jumped around waving his arm. This video is a good example of how good he can be doing the work and explaining what he’s doing as he goes. Good job Robby.
I have a 2015 Silverado diesel. If it were hit when it was new and AllSnake or other insurance company tried to low ball the repair, I’d be more than angry. Thank Robby for the effort to document your estimate.
Robby you really helped me to see why body work cost a lot. I wouldn’t have thought it would take so much work to fix a rear fender bender, wow! Good job on your videos!
Love watching you guys! So much work! I don't think I would have the patience to do what you do!
Great Video, Robby and Crew. Allstate must really be horrible for you to
state what you did about them. People need to know that!!! You are very
Correct about exposure to Ethylene Glycol Antifreeze, it is a killer..
Boy, that Dodge Swap was really a complete job. Hats off to the guys.
Awesome Content. Robby.. Be Safe Guys..
MWP Cosby, Tn.
"Beautiful!" Colton is getting more comfortable and it's great to see him on the channel.
Insurance is the bully that lets you go to school as long as you give them your lunch money!
Great video today. I enjoyed learning about the complicated process of taking the Cheney apart. I also enjoyed the guys working on the Dodge. I appreciate the boat load of knowledge you all have to acquire to be as good as you are.
Hillbilly is now at one with the camera!
I agree, Hillbilly is quite “at one” with the camera. And Colton is getting into his stride as well.
Robby I am amazed at your knowledge of DISASSEMBLY of Cars ,Trucks - Trains and I am sure even Airplanes .. LOL
Thanks for the info on Allsnake….I plan to change.
You are at your best in this line if work. It shows a lot in your attention to detail and explanation of what you are doing. You present yourself as a true professional and these videos are especially good to watch. Good job Robby.
Another great video guys! I have to say, Robby, watching you work on these new rigs shows just how different things are today than they were when I went to school in 1998 to do this stuff. I love watching your videos, you guys have the perfect blend of technical information, and fun. 👍👍
Bless your heart Robby. Trying to make the door trim and hood match up. Thats how they come from the factory nowadays. Nothing lines up! Ford, chevy, dodge, all made the same
I would at least have rattle canned that frame swap
I would love to hear Matt and Paul tease you for becoming a Ford man!🤣😆 I can't wait to watch your evolution as you work on the Bronco!! Well done on making Moma happy😉
Great job by Colton and Hillbilly getting that old Dodge under the new frame. That was a ton of work!
New vehicles are like a tetris puzzle the way they are put together. 😵
Nice to see young people getting things done in the car community you do great work keep it up
Action packed episode. Informative and entertaining!
I love you guys. I know nothing about cars and engines, but love watching you do your thing.
Great stuff. I look for the times that you say "wala". It's not a word and you say it every video, it's become a game. Thanks for such great content!
Awesome video! Now I see how everything is done. The best team ever! Thanks for sharing! 😊
Another Great Video 👍 Great content, keep up the great work!
The amount of work and energy is huge! Amazing job
Love the disassembly details.
We have had great luck with progressive, from a customer prospective they are easy to work with. Great tech video and no sanding, Excellent!
Hello from 🇿🇦👌 Capetown.!!!
Layer upon layer of disassembly and discovery for a seemingly small incident. Goes to show why you need a professional shop to repair your 100k truck.
You's do a lot of work at your shop. Thank you for showing us all your tricks you use. Hard working Men 💪🏽
My heavens that is a lot of work. Expertise level is at a high point. Good job.
Great video guys.....thanks for sharing this
Enjoyed the teardown. TY
9:23 robbie protect the jewels as the winch and sheet metal start to wine.
There was a lot going on in this video, most of it was damned informative. Do the manufactures teach you guys how to do body repair on their vehicles or are just figuring it out as you’re going. Also in your experience do you see improvements between new and old vehicles and what in your opinion has been the best improvement??
Pretty sure there's a bodywork industry group that offers courses.
I worked as body and fender mechanic years ago and while they did have few courses, the employer would not pay us to take them. Most the time we figured it out as we went along with help from the parts breakdown. But as I said that was year ago, (BI) before internet.
A trick to do on that bucket of coolant is to take a stick of wood and zip tie the hose to it so it will stick straight down and not curl up. That way you don’t need to stick your whole arm down in the bucket. I do that for my power washer soap hose.
Thanks for sharing 😀👍
Robbie, and Hillbilly as a newbie to auto repair i really appreciate your videos. I cAn tell making the videos must add a lot of time, but it is really interesting way to learn new things and see scenery in your neck of the wolds. I own a similar chevy , and thankfully have been working on it for fun modifications , so i felt ya with that rear seat. Its a nightmare, and i managed to squeeze a 1kwatt full sine inverter in one of the cubbies, and install a dual battery bank. Seeing hlw hard it is to cut the side made me happy i decided to build shelves in tje bed instead of under it.
Great video and good luck with all snake ins and stay safe from GA
Nice, informative video, love learning along the stages in your videos, good Work everyone 👍👍
Love Y'alls show,watch every day.
Hey Robby thanks for the good info about all state insurance. Love your channel.
Very nice job on the new truck repair there. Can't wait to see more videos on this Dodge Ram swip. Keep up the great craftsmanship and hard work my friends. Fab on. Fix on. Weld on. Keep making. God bless
Great video Robby
rockin Robby Layton and crue Blue and true
You should recommend the best insurance company to use for your customers. Cheapest is not the best.
Wow, I have such a new found appreciation for body technicians. all that work just to get to 1 or 2 things that is absolutely crazy.
Great video! Hillbilly knocked it out of the park. How is the Harley doing?❤❤❤
I use to have Allstate but will never use them again. Allsnake, you said it .
Thanks for sharing love your Channel 😊 I always learn something new When you upload a video! Keep up the Great Work !!!!
I saw two All-State commercials while I watched this video! Lol
Robby, I wish that all the body workers would do the work the way you do. I have discovered as it goes that many things that should have been fixed were never done. all the rubber items were replaced, but never installed as it was designed to be put together. Now I have been repairing areas that were not done as they should have been done in the first place.
thank for showing us why it costs so much to repair and why it takes so long to get it fixed
Wow, thorough job on that Chevy.
Great video guys!
wonder if you could fix that dodge rory recovered the other day that fell off the mountain
Good video !!
It's crazy how a $3 worth of plastic can cost the consumer $300. But we see that with everything these days. Good job saving it.
Bigger picture…
It’s that 30k to 150k engineered die mold on a multi-million dollar machine you are paying for, plus cataloging, warehouse inventory control and transport. Hundreds of hands, machinery and systems go into making a $300 price tag a tiny fraction of the overhead involved.
Yes it is easy to oversimplify what goes into manufacturing parts, but it is a complicated and costly process!
Wow you do a lot of work great job ❤
Great video!
Hello from South Dakota!!
Nice work Hillbilly and guys
I am so glad I didn't get into Body and Repair ! Thanks for sharing !
Those were some pretty intense trash piles Daniel! I hope you take the grapple bucket back over to move the left over wood into a smaller pile to keep burning them up.
I got my order of pecans yesterday (Thursday), they are really good.
19:00 Now thats one of the most satisfying things ive seen!!
My wife and I have Allstate insurance. I am not real fan with Allstate. I have to watch my speed and other stuff. You will a discount to save money. If you go over your speed or slammed on your brakes. They can raise your insurance. It's bunch of BS to me. They can get more money out of you. My wife is looking for different auto insurance for both cars. It's hard to find cheap auto insurance nowadays. Awesome video
Hello from Florida 👋
i did one of those about the same year not to bad of a job .... hardest part was getting the rear axle and front suspension in chasing the frame around . did it in 1/2 hour over book time from start to finish
INS supplements are SO FUN, especially when they make you tear it down, Then total it. Or, as It have had happened, Drag it to another shop. Then you get to fight for the Tear down time. the snakes are the best!
Hill Billy's man power is gonna cause his hemi's to start popping....
Robbie keep up the good work my friend
Really interesting vehicle tear down!
Good videos!!!
Having had this happen to me, just a little note: After the repairs are done, and you can't tell it from new. If down the road the trucks owner decides to trade it in, the owner gets hit again. The dealer will Car Fax it, it 's been a wreck, vehicle value drops like a rock.
