I love Toaster Strudel the Blue Tongued Skink and he loved his packing peanut pool. Not as hilariously as the Ferret but in his very sweet and quiet and blue tongued way. I also enjoyed the informed facts about using degradable pesticides because the other kind will harm Toaster and all his kind and exponentially harm other animals in the process.
Before Toast I didn't know skinks could be so chonky. We have Blue-TAILED skinks in California that are super skinny with bright blue tails instead of blue tongues. After learning about Toaster Strudel I see that they come in all different shapes and sizes and colors! Amazing! Animals are amazing and Maya is amazing for teaching us about them!

if you want to see a really chonky skink you should look up the sleepy lizard/shingleback/stumpy tail/tiliqua rugosa. same genus as common bluetongues like Toast, but even wider and with really thick armoured scales! they're also very common all over Australia
lizards do love to explore their surroundings, its why changing their stuff around in the enclosure is good to get them exploring and smelling 'new' stuff. also so envious of such a chill bluey, my boy would never sit still for as long as Toast did on your arm in the beginning ahaha. Of course it’s possible that none would like it, but I think it would be so cute to see if any of the animals besides the parrots react to or like music - animals playing limbo (bribed/paid with treatos of course). So. Cute. Enough said. Another idea where it’d be funny with a lot of the animals. - a obstacle course for stompy , winnie, ace, and maybe donks if they’re not afraid of it. You can use the ones meant for horses or use that as inspiration and make your own. You can go as simple or as elaborate as you want and add as many or as few elements as you want. I think it would be good enrichment and very entertaining. Could also be done for chickens using one meant for dogs
I never knew you from streaming really, but have found these videos about your sanctuary on YT and have since fallen in love with what you do for these animals. Please keep doing this.

Idk if this has been done yet, but maybe a modified ball pit for the rats, ferrets, and anyone else who might enjoy it - the ball pit would consist of (maybe) normal ball pit balls and/or peanut packaging, PLUS little easter eggs with treats for them to forage, find, and figure out how to pop open

You should check out Maya’s streams on twitch. She does keeping streams pretty much every week where she goes around and takes care of the animals and does chores. So you can see what she does in a day in real time. She even has chat keeping streams where chat gets to vote and choose the enrichment for the animals. It’s such a good time, I highly recommend.
Not sure if it's a good one, but I had this idea that you could do like a diy recreation of movie sets that have animals in them and then put an ambassador in the set and try to kinda recreate a scene from the movie. For example you could get a play kitchen with utensils and stuff, make chef hats out of some fabric or something and do Ratatouille with one of the rats. Or Shrek with one of the donkeys, or the Robin Hood movie with the foxes. I feel like Maya likes being crafty and it would be fun to see her make like a scuffed recreation of movie settings, and the ambassadors' reaction to the new things would be interesting too. Anyways, thanks for the great content, these vids always puts a smile on my face. :)
I have had Blue Tongue Lizards living in my yard for last 20 years or so, in Sydney, Australia. Only see them once in a while, but see them every year a few times. Also see juvenile ones, one of my cats brought one into our bedroom!.

Skinks are the cuddliest lizards I've ever met. The only things that's come close in my experience is a giant tortoise named Boxer. His problem was he liked laps. You can't like laps when you weigh hundreds of pounds and are 112 percent shell. But he figured out people wouldn't move if he just leaned against them or rested a paw... They are paws right? Dude what are tortoise feet called? To the Google machine! Update: the Google machine is sending mixed messages. Paw or foot, doesn't seem to matter.
I think its so heartwarming that Humans are such social animals that we can pack bond with literally almost anything. Spiders, snakes, crocodiles, snails and fucking CLOUDS.
