art takes on many forms... this is an example (beautiful work btw)....I chose music for my art form but now retired, I have come to stop and smell the roses and appreciate the time and patience that good wood turners put into their work like sculptors or painters.... we are surrounded by beauty and we too often do not appreciate it
Thank you
Incredibly Gorgeous. This is my favorite...so far.
Thank you

Doug, I have found it helpful when dealing with hybrid blanks to seal the entire piece with pre-mixed clear shellac. It does not interfere with the lacquer!

Hello from the UK! It’s easy for me to say - even though it might very well be irritating for you! - but I *honestly* feel I personally learn a hell of a lot more when "things" go, let’s say, *a little awry* at some point during the actual physical process of making your beautiful works of art, as it’s really inspiring how you so positively react & creatively deal with any such problems that crop up along the way (whereas *I’d* be banging my head against a brick wall!).
Invariably, you *magically transform* these "happy accidents" into something which ends up being a truly unique feature of the finished piece. Kudos, sir!
Thank you Lorna, not irritating at all, I leave all that as I am only human and not perfect just like everyone else !
Wow, that's a beauty D! Great turn. Thanks, V
Thank you Mike
Beautiful is the only word to describe that bowl.
Thank you Annette

HOLY WAH!!! That's gorgeous. Your color combos are always spot on with the wood. I've yet to figure that part out. Anywho, keep up the great work.
Mark
Thank you Mark, quit thinking about it and just pick the colors and pour it. let it be what it wants to be.
Lovely job you determind not to let it get the better of you and you came through fair play 👍
Thank you Kevin

Thank you Woodden

Thank You Rosie
Freaking awesome Doug absolutely stunning take care my friend god bless
Thank you Donald
Base crack aside, I really like it! I was surprised the vacuum chamber didn't turn into a foamy mess.
Thank you Jen, it would of if I would have left it running, I pulled enough vacuum to get the air out of the cracks and then released it so the resin would be sucked into the cracks before it set up.
The blues really came out beautiful, good job Doug!👍🇺🇸
Thank you Cortland, I spent half my day trying to find your letter so I could remember what the larger piece of wood was you sent me, FOUND IT ! LOL
The Pohl Barn Productions pretty sure it was Pecan, btw that wood was from a tree that came down during hurricane Harvey, a couple of years ago. The mill that harvested it estimated at between 150-175 years old.
Dude, that is my favorite one I e seen you do on here. Great job!
Thank you Twitchy
That is gorges looking. Nice shape. Thanks
Thank you Charles
