Complexion Rescue is my holy grail go to. I choose it over everything else. I have to *make* myself use other things so they don’t just go to waste. CR is easy to apply-I just slap it on- and it just makes my skin look good but still like skin with a lovely glow. I have oily/combination skin and I thought it wouldn’t work for me, but it does. I hope they never discontinue it.
I love this idea! "beautifully boring" describes my entire makeup collection! I get stuck on one thing & use it to death - long after it's the hot new product. (Also, love when you get sponsorships! And, love the ear cuffs!)
The Bareminerals Complexion Rescue Tinted Hydrating Gel Cream (so long to write and say) is my OG and has been for such a long time- I love trying other tinted moisturizers but always, always come back to this one. It’s a perfect formula, love how it looks, it’s buildable and it’s just awesome. Definitely the most underrated tinted moisturizer out there.
Love your gunky makeup flannel, I have one in a disturbing warm brown shade. Also deeply appreciate the video generally, I love knowing what really works as opposed to constant newness. You’re a top bird 😘
I absolutely love it when you go deep in to warm/cool, shadow/light, what to do if you went too warm, what you use on your eyes if you need this part to come forward, your eye will read X or Y...... You have no idea how much I learn from these types of videos!

It’s like when you said that I realised that leaning in to that comfort of doing “old person” things made me feel so happy and inspired to be true to what I like and stop trying doing stuff I can’t be bothered with anymore. 💕🐆
Totally feel ya about the packaging disconnect issue…I just really vibe with a product based on product AND packaging. It makes a difference to the use experience. Plus, there are so many products out there that are excellent and have luxurious packaging experiences, so I can pass on the crappy or jejune
Really appreciate when you dive into color theory! I've got olive undertones so picking out makeup can be tricky. If you feel comfortable could you elaborate more on how/why your skin will "cancel" out certain tones? Does that only apply when you use sheerer formulas/applications where your skin and the product color overlap/mix, or with more opaque colors too?
Can you talk about your favorite true neutral/cool lips? I'm a huge cool-tone fan, but finding a cool tone lip that's not straight gray/purple is so hard! I feel like you've mentioned some rosy/taupe-y/nude lips, but I can't find them in one place.
I JUST got that illamasqua lip balm yesterday and I’m really liking it on first impression! Another underated Bare Minerals product is their endless summer pressed bronzer. It is my fave powder bronzer!

I love Bare Minerals too. Their products just work and they work well. And they aren't filled with fragrance. When something new comes out, I feel like it is carefully thought out.

Related: increased enjoyment of CBS Sunday Morning segments also comes with age and wisdom. 🤓 LOVED the topics here…was also a dELiA*s fan. I will say that Topicals Faded (both face and body versions) made such a difference for me. It’s worth dealing with the packaging being a bit young.
I came to sing the praises of the bare minerals bare pro stick concealer! It's my dark circle secret! It layers perfectly with every concealer. When I have put on concealer and there is still darkness showing through I'll put a tiny bit of the bare pro on my finger tip and tap it directly on top of the darkness. It just disappears! I don't put it directly on the skin. On its own it looks like nothing but perfected skin. I heard rumors that it's being discontinued so everyone needs to try it and hopefully bare minerals will not make the poor decision to discontinue it like they did the blonzers. 😞

I used to worship at the alter of bare minerals…but ever since they were purchased by Shiseido.. ifeellike tbeor packaging is dreadful and cheap… their brushes in particular are awful. The blonzer is another one ~ great product but the cheap packaging makes it look like a freebie in the bottom of a fairground showbag.
