    I am glad to see that finally subd modeling also arrived in alias - 2008 many in industrial design laughed when I said that I also work with polygons and subd - and interesting to see also alias subd curvature comb shows the same tangent shapes

    Hi Ray!! I really enjoy your videos no matter how short they are!!

    If Autodesk had a brain they would be sponsoring these vids as they are far more useful than any tutorial guides they put out.

    very top your tutorials, bro, I'm a blender model user, everything in the blender I'm migrating to the alias since last year I still have difficulty understanding the tools so the only way is to do a retouch, because the alias meshes are spliced and separated but it still deserved like and inscribed

    Works exactly like Blender shrink-wrap retopo and mesh modeling

    Interesting. It is similar to Tspline for Rhino. Thanks for sharing.

    Hello sir. Can you take session in alias scan data to class a surface..

    Please help! I am being asked to modify a design that I have quickly sketched out in SubD. Is there an easy way to "morph" a subD surface while keeping lines clean? Even though SubD is very simple the geometry gets unsmooth very quick still. Thank you!

    Can I snap vertices of new model to cv, ed, curves, surfaces intersections or corners at retopology?

      Yeah once your out of the tool, but I think while you’re using it, it doesn’t use traditional snapping features.

    Hello, thank you for your videos, they are very helpful.
    I have a question, I use Alias SubD and I have tried to export the files to be able to print them in 3D and it gives me many problems, on the other hand files saved in Maya or Blender work perfectly, do you know any solution? Thank you so much. Regards

      Not really sure what the problem could be

    Hi.Could you pls do a full tutorial on how to model a full car concept like Mercedes S Class using surfaces in alias.A car that exists..

    • @HandleBar3D
      @HandleBar3D  3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      No because I highly recommend never modeling a car that exist. You will never be asked to model a car on the road. It serves no purpose in my field or in a portfolio.

      Its just for learning purposes. Some of us are not good like you and want to learn..what i meant is can you do another car modelling tutorial using surfaces, not Sub-D, apart from what you have uploaded showing all the steps.thanks will really appreciate.

    I wish I was simply this good at modeling cars.. I've been using blender for years and anything with a curved surface is well beyond my capabilities

      In modo I used to turn on the Chrome-ish shader and tweak the verts till I liked the reflections. I know people also dig into the program files and swap the default reflection image with a stripey image to help them better analyse the surface. That being said nurbs is still the best way to model cars because once you really study and understand curvature it's much easier to implement the concept in nurbs.
