- The Cabot Nero. I was lucky enough to shoot one of the first ones, and now I'm lucky enough to own one. It is a single stack 1911, and this particular one is in 9mm and has an ambidextrous safety and threaded barrel. It is a gun that I had a love affair with from the start.

Beautiful piece. I though my Dan Wesson, Discretion 1911 was great. I may have to try to buy a 1911 from Cabot. I prefer a cigar lounge to a club any day.

For me it’s the energy involved in crafting the Materials and assembling them to the thousands of an inch for them to uniformly work harmoniously without error. Appreciation of the mechanical craftsmanship.

I have a left handed cabot in .45 acp in commander length. For the first time I own a 1911 where all of the controls are at the correct location!! For me that alone was worth the price. It is difficult to appreciate these guns unless you have an opportunity to see and shoot one in person. The price you pay for these is high, but compared to nighthawks and wilsons, they are not far off.

You should get a free Cabot after this video. I'm not even a single stack 1911 guy but I sort of blacked out in the middle of watching this and found myself at the end of it pulling things into my front yard to sell so I could buy a Nero.

I’d be interested in shooting this one I’ve shot a friends Cabot but we both agree nighthawks are we’re it’s at for being something I trust to run and also perfect they take it to another level as well. But I’ve always thought of Cabot as the fancy Awsome looking pistols but I would like to try this one. Thank you for the review.

Dude i feel the same way about 1911s. I have HKs but i rarely shoot anything other than my taurus 1911 i built. Im already at 1400 rounds through the last year and a half of owning it. It would have been double that if the ammo shortage didn't hit when the plandemic did. This gun just has a soul. Its like the sexy classy woman that makes you earn her love but when you earn it she makes you feel like a 👑.

There's something special about a hand fit 1911. It might not be the most practical or economical choice, but that doesn't make it any less great.

What brand of holster are you using for this pistol? I have a 5” Nighthawk Predator with a rail and am having a problem finding a functional holster. Great content, keep them coming.

Too rich for my blood, but I have no doubt it’s the bomb. At $4500 for a pistol, for that much I would expect some seriously good sucky-sucky to compliment my purchase. Wish I could see what you see, but it’s just unobtanium for me. Great video and appreciate your perspective!

Still have my 1st 1911 from, 22 year's ago?high cap mag's were gone or prohibitively expensive but got a certificate for the 2nd and 3rd 14rd mag's 99.99$.laugh all you want but the Para-Ord p-14 limited uses 1911 part's and 20 Rd mag's.been nothing but a solid performance all around.

I generally knock expensive 1911’s as being outdated, overpriced, unreliable and lacking capacity. That being said it’s a beautiful gun.

Ironically I don't see the class in the platform. I respect the original design but have always geared myself towards ordering the most modern and futuristic custom 1911's possible.

As much EXTRA work goes into a Cabot/ACW gun......these are "boutique guns" with price tags to match.....designed to be worn on the hips of Texaans at heir BBQ's or for that wealthy douche who likes to "one up" guys who can only afford sub $1500 guns....
No one in their right mind is going to use a boutique gun for "self-defense" nor "duty" nor "home defense".....REALLY11 You could but...WHY would you?? Knowing what will happen to this gun....??? :)
Home Defense---should you survive the shootout the the $6000 boutique gun will be taken by the police. How long will it take for gun owner to get the gun back? Shrug. Will they??? Not sure how it works and don't want to ever find out. Same applies to "CC"....the gun you choose is a gun you can part with temporarily or maybe forever...even if you're able to justify your use of a gun to the judge.
...would you put a $8000 gun in the mud? Be okay with putting dings in the slide ?? Seeing it drop down a clift or off a balcony....?
