- In addition to picking up engines in the junkyard I also find what’s available locally. It’s much less common for me to acquire iron 5.3s so I figured I’d roll the dice with this one. If you are interested in purchasing this engine or any other LS engine from me please reach out.
Also note that I am willing to sell this engine in pieces (as a short block) or reassembled with a different cam or heads.

That smoke was a little scary at first there Travis but it cleared up it sounds good it sounds really good
I've had good luck putting sea foam in each bank of cylinders and letting it soak in the bores for a week or so. One bank straight up on an engine stand (turn the crank over 180 after a couple of days) and then rotate the other bank straight up and do the same. It seams to loosen up any gunk up rings and gets rid of the smoking if it's just gunk up rings from poor maintenance. The sea foam ends up in the oil pan and then run the engine with the sea foam in the pan and change the oil. But, yeah that smoke is probably from laying on it's side for some time. Good luck with your sale.
This motor was sitting on its side in the back of a truck for weeks. It was just oil burning off.

I'm looking for the injector upgrade you did with a Buick vs into the V8 5.3.
The Buick injectors are for a certain intake manifold and injector plug combo specifically. What’s your current combo?
Was wanting to ask a question with regards to your test stand and engine. Do you use an alternator to run it...or is it just water pump and the harmonic balancer. Do you use a battery charger to keep is going?. Thanks for info
No charging system. The MSD box pulls very little power to run. I can fire up a motor multiple times all day long and the battery will last.

@@kansascreekhuntingcooking8515 there’s a 50% chance. What size are the bolts on the valley pan? 10mm is pressed pin, 13mm is floating. That change is totally unrelated but happened at the exact same time.
I replaced the valley pan sometime ago with ICT so I really don't remember I'm doing an LS swap and a '65C10 project is not completed yet I was just checking to see what I might have. Want to kind of set it up as a street rod truck

Depending on your situation you might be better off just getting another shortblock. It may even end up being cheaper.
What carb cfm is that?
750. It’s for the red motor. I’ll put something smaller on the runstand soon
