For the light show (mission 11) the attachment you used, was that two different attachments connected together for support and ran by both front motors? Or was it just one motor that ran the lifting attachment?

You did pretty good, but one thing that you could do is not lift up the stopper for the minecart. That was a little cheeky but overall, that was a really good run.

We are using Mindstorms Robot Inventor, with full custom PID gyro controllers for moving and turning. We didn’t use any line following as it just wasn’t worth it. Good luck this season!

Hi, short question: why do you take your Masterpiece from the right to the left home area? I don't know how it's in your country but in Germany you can place it in both home zones. Should be page 26 in the rulebook.
Why is the video playing back out of order? At one point the robot drives past the sound mixer and they are already up, but then shortly after they are shown back down again.
Yes! The junk penalty was removed at the beginning of the 2015 Trash Trek season and has never been reimplemented. There are certain missions (such as the innovation model and pedestal that cant be touching robot equipment at the end of the match, but for the most part, scoring elements can touch robots unless the game manual explicitly states it. Hope that answers your question!

Our robitic team passed the 1st competition and our robot only does 290 points and thats with ovr 20 days of work due to my team taking our receces time

In our school, we'll compete, but only with the school members (sixth grade A, B, C, seventh grade A, B, C, eighth grade A, B, C and ninth grade A, B, C) and I'm the one responsible for programming the robot in our class, so I wanted to find a way that makes it simple yet very well done programming so we can win this time (last year we got in second place)

Would like to see you guys do this under 2:30 seconds 😂. In all seriousness think about humilis grouping. We have a strategy tutorial on our channel that would help you getting this on time so I’d check that out. But great job super impressive
We are able to do it in under 2:30 (with attachment changes it takes us about 2:16), however since this was done as a project by FIRST alumni they didn’t have enough people to film a run with full changes. Your video looks cool tho!
I’m a 4th year, so I can help! At least for the innovation project, try interviewing a lot of people and/or doing a lot of iterations of it. I know from first hand experience that that really works
As an 8 year first alumni I would say definitely don’t be afraid to scrap an idea for something better. Learn to use they gyro sensor and over build attachments so they don’t break. We are planing to release more guides for FLL so if you want to see those when they come out definitely subscribe!
Hey! Different team, but almost all big teams use functions that check how exactly the robot works. For driving, this is usually a PID control (gyro) or a comparison between the motors that are driving. Many still use color sensors for orientation, especially when the track gets longer. Also, make sure that most of the weight is over the tires, that the tires are always clean and that you only use a charged robot. So you shouldn't have too much inaccuracies but most important in the end is: test, test, test. I hope I could help :)
@@Anish_Dhamijathey are likely using micro Python or similar. We use Pybricks (a 3rd party micro Python). It has a built in Drivebase class and a gyro version GyroDriveBase. We do not use the gyro version as it is actually less accurate. The DriveBase class takes the wheel size and spacing as values and then automatically does the calculations for turns. You can do very precise things like drivebase.curve(300, 22.5) in which case the robot will drive in an arc of 300 mm radius for a total of 22.5 degrees. Super accurate and way better than the default Lego software.

@@STB_Editz we used both motors on a virtual differential to equally distribute lift to each side of the mission model.

Yeah it is about 2:16 with switches but since this is an alumni robot we haven’t filmed with switches as we don’t have the people to do that
