I remember going to one of Muzz's fly tying nights about 20 years. What an amazing experience. He was so innovative. I think we all went out the next day and bought coffee grinders 🤣 RIP Muzz 💔
He was a great fly tier, character and all round nice guy… I still have some of his original fuzzle buggers … not game to use them anymore… the world was a better place when you were still with us Muzz! RIP.
What an incredible capture and to get the whole thing from tying the fly, the cast, hook-set to landing it all on film is a fantastic achievement. I remember watching this when it came out and was shocked to say the least! I bet the Arthur River got a few visitors when the DVD hit the shelves. Its also where I learnt the word "prodigious" and my brother and I still have an in joke about it when we are out fishing, commenting on "prodigious snags" 🤣😂
absolutely incredible fish - terrible decision to keep such a beautiful fish just to stuff and mount on a wall - modern technology can replicate your catch and people would not know the difference - let these great fish survive for years to come and don't be so selfish

The fish actually died in the net… otherwise it would have been released and it was handled with care.
