I heard my teacher conversation that they do that to make the students feel humiliated so the students feel very embarrassed so they wanna change and improve faster..
But? That's not the right way, especially when i'm one of that students they ridicule. I'm a proof that they can't make their students improving by doing that- especially doing it in front all the classmates when they know i always feel nervous standing in front of them all, and share it to the other teacher to humiliate me more..

My math teacher once did this to me and this other guy in my class. We were having an ol one session and the teacher decided to take the first half of the session to take an online quiz in case we had any questions to ask the teacher while taking it. So, me and a few other people finished very early. I didn't study for this test, I didn't even know there was a test. But I tried my best, even if I did finish early. So the teacher looks at the students' results and says "Sarah (me), are you sure you thought about your answer before answering?" Which is kinda embarrassing but that's okay. She gives me a second chance luckily and I thought extra hard this time. Eventually we all finish, and the teacher again asks "Sarah, are you 100% sure of your answers?" And I was like "yes" so she was like "okay." Then she moves on to another student (we'll call him Paul or smth) and she says "Paul, are you sure you thought about your answers before answering?" And he was like "yes.." so the teacher... This teacher... Has the AUDACITY to say "Then why did you get a 6/10?" and, oh my God, I have NEVER hated her more in my life. I felt so bad for him because I had the exact same mark, and I had a second chance! Like... What is wrong with this teacher, honestly?
@@urwierd4987 Reminds me of my teachers in 5th grade. There were two 5th grade classes and most of my teachers had to teach both classes. So they'd say stuff like "The other class is so much smarter" "The other class finished five pages in only 5 minutes while you're still in the first page" "The other class is so much more well-behaved" and stuff like that. We slowly started hating the other 5th grade class. Later on at the end of the school year, we found out that our teachers say the same thing to the other class and they were just trying to get us to compete so we can be motivated to improve. Did it work? Not at ALL! We just hates each other throughout the whole year, that's the only difference it made. And they hated us too. So, congratulations! You made a bunch of children despise each other because YOU lied to them!! They were the best teachers I have ever had :D

specially when quarantine was going on in my country. we had a week to do 4 sheets of math homework, 2 biology pieces, an art drawing, french online activities (those were my favorites :]), P.E. quizzes, 1 history presentation and read a book for english. i think it is a bit too much. plus they put your grades down if you sent them late

It's funny because a kid in my school killed themselves and supposedly in their note they said how the pressure of homework was too much, so the teachers talked to us saying not to put as much pressure on us, and then gave the usually big load of homework that caused the entire situation. How helpful.
And parents. They say something then forget it and break it. Maybe like they will try to be nicer to you and not add as much pressure but when they get mad they will yell at you. My mom said she wouldn't get mad if i did something bad and told her but when i lost things and told her she got mad. She litterly lied to me.
No longer a student, but I didn't do mine. School stays in school. But in Portugal homework was 5% of your final grade so not seen as really that important. It was good to have a couple exercises to review and make sure you understood what was given in class, but more than that is overboard and overkilling, possibly resulting on you getting even more confused about what was given in class.

27秒からのとこ、よくよくMVみると僕は教科書や宿題よりもっと大事なものを教室に忘れて来たのかもしれないって書いてあった。今までよく見てなかったけど、感動😢😢
サビの最初のところ、「黒板のこの漢字は読めますか」じゃなくて「読めますが」にいつも聞こえてたんだよね。
『数学みたいに答えが決まってるものは得意だけど、国語みたいな正解が不確かなものは苦手』って考察と同じような感じで「漢字」とか「面積比の公式」とかは答えが決まってて言える「が」、「あの子の心象」とか「首の輪」とか「子供の時の夢」は不確かだから語尾が「か」になってるんだと思う。
そうなると「いつになりゃ大人になれます“が” そもそも大人とは一体全体何です“か”」っていうのが『いつかは物理的に大人になれる事は確かだけど、それは精神とかそういう面でも本当に大人なのか』っていうメッセージなのかなって思った。

I was never a perfect student, but before the pandemic I still managed to stay average. After the pandemic, I entered high school. I already suffered from depression before joining the first year, but school certainly made everything worse. I can't study because I don't have the energy and seeing my report card discourages me more and more. I feel so guilty that my dad is paying for an expensive school (about R$2100) but I can't, it's just not possible. Last year I was lucky, this year I don't know if I'll make it. It breaks me to see how disappointed my parents are with my grades, and that makes me feel even more down. To make matters worse my only friend dropped out of school this year and honestly, it's really hard to fit in. This is hell and I can't go on anymore.

hey, I was (and still am) in a sort of similar situation and.... ig the only thing I can say is, take small steps at a time. Start with the basic stuff that you're supposed to know (even if it's from the previous years) and try to master them first. It's easy to get overwhelmed, but you won't get anywhere without the basics. Even if it takes more time, start with that so that you understand atleast *something* instead of nothing. Just don't expect anything in your tests and put in the effort. There are loads of videos on TH-cam to help you understand concepts. Don't procrastinate because you think it's useless to put in effort now. If you don't do it now, it's gonna be that much harder later. I don't even know if this'll help lmao

my school doesn't do anything about mental health right? My old English teacher started yelling at one of my old classmates about how their excuse for not doing homework was because their parents weren't feeling well, I knew this kid had a horrible home life (their parents were alcoholics) and that they had severe depression and other stuff that stressed them out. I snapped and yelled at him to get the fuck outta their face because home isn't a place to study. I got kicked out of his class and the kid thanked me for trying to stand up for them. i found out about 2 weeks later that the kid committed suicide by overdose after their parents kicked him out. They were my best friend since 6th grade and ill never see them again, all because of stress of home and school combined.

Honestly, this song hits too close to home. As a person who's struggling with ADHD, it makes things even harder for me to get through school. Whenever I get frustrated, I start to cry. And I forget things very often. But most of my teachers think it's something I can control when it's literally not.
Even though I ended high school back in 2002, I was in this same predicament. My ADHD was more on the inattentive side of the spectrum, and it made things really hard to focus if I wasn't literally 100% interested in the topic. I never tested well, and I despised my peers who seemed to manage just fine. I grew up as a bitter, resentful, and lonely child only to become an adult who saw so many problems with the educational system that I openly distrust public education to this day. Metrics can reap what they sow and go jump off a cliff for all I care these days. Just because you are suffering, doesn't mean it goes completely unnoticed. This song, in my most honest opinion, is a homage to this, and a wake up call that what we think is right for many, isn't right for ALL.

CRWE EWRC I’m a straight A student too, but my grades are getting worse and worse. My social ability is not that bad, I can talk as long as I talk in my first language (haha I suck at my second language-). The way I made friends is if they come to talk to me first, then I can be more social. I guess my family business is alright, nothing too stressing.

My mum cannot accept me getting below 80 for my tests, well I can do that for all my subjects except for my second language. The amount of practice papers she gives me is stressing, and count my teacher’s ridiculous amount of homework in too. I’m very stressed but I’m kinda managing. I don’t really know what to say to people who are suicidal since I don’t really care much about anything. But I just suck up the stress and deal with it. But cutting yourself just gets you addicted and it will worsen your suffering.

I mean, yk y I still hope on becoming a teacher?yup, for all the ones who r in pain, live through the expectation of teachers and parents, suffer from bullying, or in different types of deep pain; to stop them before doing it, or even just make them feel like they are actually learning, for more that I hate studying, I would love to be the reason someone smiles. i honestly dont think its the teachers who need to know this. they are probably well aware already, im sure no teacher is stranger to how the system treats their students. while yeah, there are bad teachers, most are likely trying their best in a restrictive and arguably violent (not physically, but violent no less) system.
I'm not sure where you're from or what exactly you mean (or have experienced) but I will say that teachers are generally very aware of the problems within the system, but individual teachers have next to zero control over the system. As a teacher you are required to follow the policies set in place by your school, which is in turn required to follow policies and education targets set by the government. The importance of policies like standardised testing and curriculum have been subject for debate for decades; look up humanist teaching philosophy for examples of alternative education that take a more holistic approach to raising students, which has been implemented (arguably, as education philosophy is, as I said earlier, hotly debated) in some schools. Unfortunately, it is unlikely that the government (at least here in Australia) will make this kind of education a priority in the immediate future.

Online classes are bringing back my stress and anxiety rn. We have homework every single day and it's so stressful trying to keep up with the amount of work given to us. My mother keeps saying to "pass your assignments on time" which adds to my stress. I'm honestly trying my best but I just can't do it anymore. I just hate when parents judge your intelligence based on your grades, yet they won't even bother to look at your real talents...
I know your really stressed but remember that there are hundreds of people feeling they same way you do and I know I’m one of those people, though I wish I could do something I can’t. Stand Tu EXACTLY- one time I didn’t write a paragraph about something in one class and I was really stressed. My mom said,”It’s only a month into school, you’re fine.” And my dad went to an enraged yelling fit about how he never missed anything. I pretended to not care, but I really wanted to cry. 残酷な曲ですね。思春期の人間に「そのまま生きていて良いのか?」と問う。でも思春期の時に出逢いたかった曲です。自分の生き方も変わっていたかもしれない。

I can relate to this too much. I may have the best grades in the school itself but i dont have a social life. I only have that levi ackerman looking guy in my dreams
It's so sad when life nowadays really looks your capabilities based on your schoolgrade. "Your grade is good, you good in your life, your grade sucks, well your future is screwed". With this mindset, along side with parents expectation, you have to push yourself while being forced to ignore your dream. You live because of them. You don't live for yourself, make you depressed and going insane when you fail to impress them.
It scares me how much I relate to this-
And suicide.
@@fishoreo I completely agree with you. Sorry for ranting, but I feel like the pressure will just ruin how you view life. Grades do not always impact how you are. You can always have a bright future with talent and passion for something you love, instead of academics. Sorry once again for ranting!
Edit : I also agree with your opinion that we have to focus on something we don't want and not on our dreams. I personally think our dreams are a top goal and should be focused on ASAP.
