If that weren't the case, the A54 would lag behind in terms of performance like its predecessor the A53. The A52s is better at gaming and has accessories in its box but the A54 has the same speed or a little bit faster compared to the A52s for social media and other apps, it also has more updates (cause it launched 2 years after) and it has an excellent design. The A54 is also 73% same with the samung S23+ flagship.
But it's not good enough to justify an upgrade from A52s, only slightly better in some areas. If they were the same price I'd pick A54 but a used A52s is now half the price.
I will mention the weak spot of this phone a54 : -still using slow ufs 2.2 (ufs 2 are really slow, believe me when u had so much video or photos (big files) its will load so long -can't turn on eis on 4k30fps result are shaky (due to weak processor isp) -exynos 1380 throttle in long usage game (no vapor chamber cooling solution due samsung always focus on others thing) they will not care about performance at all their software will drop the performance to lowers the temperature -still had big chin & bezzel in 2023 its even worst than xiaomi midrange -very heavy 202gr (170gr are the sweet spot) s23 are 168gr, if you know you know, its not good if you put on pocket u will be uncomfortable So many people don't notice this
A54 has UFS 3.1. Confirmed by Samsung. Although the sequential read/write speeds are at UFS 2.2 level, the Random Read/Write speeds are at UFS 3.1 level. Random Read/Write speed is more important for normal usage.

Not exactly coping This is a performance test... and a "who loads the apps faster type of test?" Which is garbage. Why? Because the A54 has a faster UFS flash memory,meaning it'll load apps faster, but it has a theoretically equivalent SoC In practice, the Snapdragon 778G SoC is better because it's more optimized than the Exynos 1380. The A54 has slight improvements: Brighter display (+200 nits),which is insignificant since 800 nits is still visible even in very bright environments. Larger battery (+500 mhA), which is great...real improvement. Better build quality and glass in both the front and the back... but the A52s is easier to fix because of the plastic back,but it's also a real improvement. Better main camera sensor, smaller resolution, but better HDR and sharpness and other small things... but the end results don't look that different. Overall, I wouldn't switch.

In some ways performance is worse as the snapdragon in the a52s is well optimised for all apps and doesn't overheat/throttle in normal use. The A54 camera seems better in low light but not miles better. It's a good improvement on A53. The battery is better than A52s but that also makes it heavier. Used to be each new model would double the performance but that's long gone now.

no, absolutely not. i thought about that. you have to know what you need, yes its newer but is it better? no i have the a52s 5g for around 17 months. never had any problem. even the battery still feels like new.i absolutely happy with my purchase.and the performance is still on par or in some cases beter than the exynos powered a54

You`re doing it wrong brotha. Both phones shoud`ve been charged to 100% to compare them. Therefore, when the A52s has low battery juice, it will run slower to mantain the battery for a long period of time. Therefore, your speed test is not 100% accurate.
Not worth the upgrade if you have a A52s 5G. Just pray Samsung add a Snapdragon in the A55 5G

I'd absolutely go with the A54. Even though they roughly have the same power, The A54 will be supported by Samsung for 4 more years, whereas the A52s will only be supported for 2 more years.

Prácticamente el galaxy A52s y el A54 es lo mismo solo que el A54 le gana por poquito al A52s pero son lo mismo eso si el A54 trabaja mejor con las cámaras pero Prácticamente son iguales únicas diferencias cambia diseño, batería, procesador yo lo igualo están al mismo nivel, cámaras trabaja mejor el A54 pero es lo mismo yo digo que son uno de los mejores gama media de este año
En que le gana? Jajaj el A52s tiene mejor camara, mejor Procesador, viene para conectar ariculares jack, y te viene con cargador. El a 54 no! Solo tiene 2 GB mas de Ram lo cual en mi caso es al pedo porque no juego juegos y eso... es una maquina el a52 con su Snapdragon y sus 6gb de Ram.😊

La gente no ve las cosas que no quiere que el Galaxy a52s fue un gran teléfono si y quizás el procesador fue muy bueno en su tiempo, pero este Exynos recién salido al mercado y va muy bien y con el tiempo irá mejor , el a54 tiene mejor diseño, mejor batería, en carga rápida los dos 2 igual de malos con la diferencia que uno traía cargador, en cámaras es considerablemente mejor el a54, tiene 3 años más de soporte al ser más nuevo , en lo que si estoy de acuerdo es que el precio está alto pero como los años lo Samsung llegan caros pero bajan de precio muy rápido solo es tener algo de paciencia y ya y cuando ya la gente lo compra bajado de precio ya el teléfono está optimizado al 100% para mi no hay duda el a54 es un mejor teléfono y si se consigue a un buen precio es de lo mejor de la gama media sin renunciar a nada.

@HonzaGaming07 agree a battery test between them would be interesting. I find A52s reasonable. It's rare to need to charge during the day. But I am noticing what I have left at bedtime is getting lower. More like 20 percent instead of 50 when new.

@@germanchichi3011 bueno depende para que lo usas , para juegos va muy bien y obviamente no es como un gama alta ni este ni el a52s y a ese Exynos le cambiaran esas GPU Mali sería genial pues las Adreno son lo mejor eso ni se discute pero el teléfono está muy bien , pero si le hubieran puesto un 7 gen1 bien optimizado hubiera estado mejor .

However, the Galaxy A54 is better than the A52s in almost every other way.
Brighter screen (1000 nits) with Vision Booster and HDR10+, UFS 3.1, longer battery life, better cameras (main camera is significantly better), Bluetooth 5.3, Glass back, Has longer software support (upto Android 17).
Also Samsung has improved in the A54 the subtle things like speakers, fingerprint scanner, cooling and haptics.

You`re doing it wrong brotha. Both phones shoud`ve been charged to 100% to compare them. Therefore, when the A52s has low battery juice, it will run slower to mantain the battery for a long period of time. Therefore, your speed test is not 100% accurate.
