The A55 wins in all aspects. It's over for the Snapdragon 778G 5G chipset, but we should give it a thumbs up for what it has done over these past 3 years.

Clear the cache partition and put ram plus on at 6gb in a52s, this will make your phone snappy. Give it a few mins after the cache clearing before noticing changes
I have an A52s for 3 years now. I use it everyday and game heavily on it, still runs as if it's brand new, with its battery being the only thing that has taken a hit, but a small one.
The A55 has to be and is indeed a superior device. The A52s still holds up 3 years later, the only noticeable thing the newer models have is the software support, other than that the A52s isn't bad at all.
It depends a bit, the a55 comes at least with 8gb ram (up to 12) , the lowest ram on the a52s is 4gb ( up to 8). If the ram is the same then it's a honest test, everything else seems the same. More ram, better background performance and a bit smoother all over.

Only one generation performance difference, despite being 2.5 generations apart. Doesn't help that their release price was also pretty similar. Features might be worth the price, but the performance itself is a bit underwhelming, at least when compared to A52s back when it released. I wish they made more A5Xs series phones that focused more on performance.

I have both, i tried them side by side, i have a feeling that a55 is just a little bit smoother, faster so you can clearly see.

My a52s has better scrolling speed then my a55. Everything on a52s looks faster then on a55. I think this is because of snapdragon chipset.
