Continuing on from removing the clutch in the last video, I now move on to splitting the gearbox from the engine and removing all the timing sprockets and gear.
@@DBMiniDIY yeah ! No major issues but i'll be keeping my eyes peeled for your next video before I delve much deeper I reckon ! Plenty of degreasing and painting for me to be getting on with in the meantime !
Cool thanks I’ve been trying to get mine off by hand and followed the Haynes model by chocking it with a block of wood but it just won’t budge. Seems like the impact wrench is the way to go
DB, coming along nicely, Did you have something to catch the crank pulley after the flywheel dropped down on the last video as it went down with a bit of a bang, Sods law says you will break a tooth or the casting instead of the concrete lol, Cheers Dave
Wish I had hung about an extra day , then I would have had this fantastic video to follow ! Top job !
Thanks, hope yours came off without a hitch

Great update as always DB
Cheers Sean
nice DB... good info for novice folk like me....
How did you stop the crankshaft spinning when you used the air socket to remove the pulley?
It doesn't spin when using an impact gun
