The thing I love most about fighting games is when you're in the zone so hard, so focused, that your heart is pounding & it feels as if you're in the opponents head. It's a mental chess game. Not many games can achieve this. 3rd Strike, SF4, MvC, etc are just a few of the few fighting games that you can achieve this feeling. For Honor is one of those games too. You just have to find good players.
The Concept of feint really show off that aspect of fighting games and push it to the limit (in a good way) as well as the "cancel an attack naturally into another" mechanics... Like Centurion who can normally do a guard break with his heavy hits or Warden who automatically have a guard break by cancelling his shoulder bash... Yes I'm 3 month late and i don't care :D
I vividly remember playing Mortal Kombat 9 with my friends. We had a little tournament set up. The finale was me and another guy. The last round consisted of both of us being at low health, jumping, dodging, blocking, screaming and crying. The tension was unreal, EVERYONE was screaming, and I threw one punch to end the game. I won, I pissed myself but I won.
You're right on, I'm mainly a PC player now, but I used to play Street Fighter 2 back in the day and For Honor has really gotten me back into that zone you're talking about.

The fact is that the guy could be arrested and reported. Reported because what he is doing is harassment and arrested because he is making threats to his life and considering the fact that you can literally pay someone to find out where a person lives or if you have the know how yourself it would be pretty easy to call the police where he lives and have him arrested. it is a reality in fighting games, especially at the beginning or after poorly balanced patches. if a player can win simply by playing passive or spamming he is by no means skillful or better than you and might as well be new to the game (ofc this doesnt apply to this case). i dislike jumping on the op bandwagon and people that think they are good just cause of their imbalanced character and as a rule of thumb i only play what i like but i dont shit on people for playing what's strongest, i just find it really boring.

i don't get it, when i hear turtling, i think of dark souls where you hide behind a shield and poke or swing. I didn't see turtling here, just a lot of good defense and smart plays to counter and outmaneuver a lot of strong attacks. But i don't know this game that well.
Turtling opponents should be way easier to read than other opponents and therefore easier to deal with. Logically they are way more static in their behavior which means less surprises for you, all else equal ofc.

The fact is that the guy could be arrested and reported. Reported because what he is doing is harassment and arrested because he is making threats to his life and considering the fact that you can literally pay someone to find out where a person lives or if you have the know how yourself it would be pretty easy to call the police where he lives and have him arrested. it is a reality in fighting games, especially at the beginning or after poorly balanced patches. if a player can win simply by playing passive or spamming he is by no means skillful or better than you and might as well be new to the game (ofc this doesnt apply to this case). i dislike jumping on the op bandwagon and people that think they are good just cause of their imbalanced character and as a rule of thumb i only play what i like but i dont shit on people for playing what's strongest, i just find it really boring.

i don't get it, when i hear turtling, i think of dark souls where you hide behind a shield and poke or swing. I didn't see turtling here, just a lot of good defense and smart plays to counter and outmaneuver a lot of strong attacks. But i don't know this game that well.
Turtling opponents should be way easier to read than other opponents and therefore easier to deal with. Logically they are way more static in their behavior which means less surprises for you, all else equal ofc.
