The only way to play KSP is doing what normal people don't. Or at least what russian engineers would consider normal, like a rocket powered hydrofoil barge used to launch a spaceplane and his booster.
Wow. Words can't describe just how epic every one of your videos is. You could honestly make me cry with a mission to LEO with what your doing 😆. Highest respect mate, keep this up.
Its just unbelieveable how cool these projects are My laptop cannot really handle visual mods, but man they do look good! I am still trying to figure out a way to go intlerplanetary more efficiently, and then interstellar... i hope Well done, as always!
How hard was the construction and planning? Also, what caused the arm to detach incorrectly at 17:41? … Oh, no please don't tell me that the engines on the ring are the same ones that were on the second stage of the Venus Ascent Vehicle!
How many funds did that cost? My most expensive mission so far (Not RSS/RO btw) was Artemis 1, a large crewed mission to the Mun, 3 astronauts, 4 tourists, it cost around 250,000 funds, but it was worth it >:)
Dear TD Channel, I want you to make a manned grand tour of the solar system using VASIMR power. The destinations are in this order: 1. The moon 2. Mercury 3. Venus 4. Mars 5. Jupiter (Europa) 6. Saturn (Titan) 7. Uranus (Miranda) 8. Neptune (Triton) 9. Pluto This should be an international cooperation between the USA, Russia, China, India, Europe, and Japan. The launch for the ship-UNS , should be used with SpaceX rockets, NASA rockets, Russian rockets, ESA rockets, Chinese rockets, Indian rockets, and Japanese rockets. The crew should consist of 8 astronauts-4 females and 4 males: - a female commander - a male pilot - 3 female mission specialists - 3 male mission specialists The crew should launch on a Buran-Energia space shuttle consist, since Buran is fully automated. This mission should take up to 6 years. It should end with the Buran taking the crew home. From, Dylan Baker
Pretend you’re going from low Kerbin orbit to the mun, except LKO is kerbin’s orbit around the sun and the mun is whatever planet you’re trying to visit
That part wasn't too bad - get them both the same distance apart, quickly switch on MJ docking autopilot. The hard part was getting the camera path timing right on (since they slow down as they approach), so that took a few quicksaves (maybe 30 min)
Unfortunately at this point the save file and modlist is fairly specific and a couple years old - they'd need updating to latest RP-1 express install before I'd be able to easily share them, which is a bit of a daunting task.
It is indeed sped-up, though I also have a very good PC. I use software to automatically remove duplicate frames, lag spikes, stutters, etc, and then speed it up from there.
Hi TD. Amazing work with the video. It's nice to see you back on the Terminal Velocity timeline again. Just one small thing. PLEASE stop the twin launches. Nothing ruins your immersion in the story more then seeing 2 rockets launch at the same time. Besides the obvious saftey issues with this, theres no way both builds would be finished at exactly the same day and same time in order to allow this. With smaller rockets (and i'm talking much smaller like an original titan) this might be fine, but when these multi-megaton structures are launching symoltaniously, with a chance of catastrophic failure taking the other rocket out, it's just not fun to watch knowing there's 0 chance anything like this would happen. At the risk of sounding Pretentious, even if you wont stop doing it, 3 times a video for the rest of time is sure to just make it a regular old trope (and i know how long these shots take so you definitely dont want that for all your work) Other then that it's amazing what you did here. The work must have taken ages to design and make that multicraft ring. Having made one myself before ksp motors were a thing (albeit a smaller one) i understand the pain it takes. Keep making amazing videos and cant wait till the next Terminal Velocity episode...

How do you manage your dual launches?
Mechjeb, and careful timing (one automatic launch to plane of target, one manual launch) to get it to sync up reasonably close.
