Something to note is that the grand line ISN’T this worlds version of the equator so entering it isn’t as easy as just using a compass and sailing near it. It’s all explained in the show in better detail but I can’t spoil.
Yeah, I was kinda irked by that. They unnecessarily wink at long time fans by spoiling new fans, and at the same time making a confidently incorrect joke that shows they don't even know the basics of the Grand Line. That and "villains laughing at how evil they are" showing a bunch of non-examples of the trope. Garp? Roger?
The fact that the grandline isn't the equator is a common mistake people make. I blame it on the first map of the grandline showing it as if it were the equator.
I think it's because theyre going to explain it next season, I hope visually rather than rely on exposition. The anime did it really well at the start of the Millenium Dragon filler arc, not sure about the manga at that point.
@@wpelfeta No it doesn't. In the manga it's introduced chapter 22 in the conversation with gaimon and it's clearly diagonal. In the live action it's literally a few lines on some brown paper, which doesn't mean much. Maybe it was in the anime?

In the Manga, Oda regularly does a little Q&A, and someone actually asked how Zoro talked with his sword in his mouth. "His heart is doing the talking."
Oda is so proud of his work now it actually succeeded in reaching broader audiences to the point it's actually got them addicted which we never expected For the east Blue arc to accomplish as it was the slowest and less interesting part of the whole running show with some small arcs as exception to being worse
The future arcs are going to be so hard to adapt though. East Blue was the most realistic arc. Everything after this is going to be wild. Netflix has their work cut out for them.
@@erlieattendido4911 Dragon isn't hard to adapt exactly though. I think the biggest issue with Dragon is he's a really important character... in about 10 years' time. So he deserves a high-end actor, but it'd be a big ask to fly one all the way over to South Africa just for a 30-second scene. I think they could probably solve that by just not showing Dragons' face, so they can re-cast later if they get that far.
We don't really know how Shanks do pirate-y stuff, but the headcanon of most fans is that they attack other pirate ships or navy/marine ships and plunder, if they find a treasure map, they go get it and stuff like that. As to how or why the strawhats are considered pirates, it's because you're allowed by the government to sail, or you're a pirate. There's no in between.
We kind of do know Shanks does piratey things; it's just hard to say so without spoilers, so it's further below: We KNOW Shanks stole the gum-gum fruit from CP9. And the fact is, Shanks is an Emperor of the Sea, which means he controls an Empire in the New World. This automatically puts him in opposition to the World Government (who want to control the whole world), so that makes him a pirate. Also, he's going after the One Piece now, which by its very nature involves doing illegal historical research.
You'll find out why they haven't gone back to the East Blue pretty soon, but I personally hope we can get some kind of ending stinger that shows them visiting their friends/family at the end of the series.
As you're probably noticing when you're going through the anime, the live action condensed A LOT. Especially episodes 2-6 they took out and changed a lot of stuff even though they kept some of the main, important points in there they had to hit. Probably won't get bored watching the anime and seeing the characters that were left out and not expanded upon.
Without spoiling anything, there are still a few different characters that Luffy could've picked up the accent from in his childhood, should they want to justify it. They just have to cast someone with the same mexican accent. It wouldn't even be that out of place. Even better if in the next few seasons they also got Luffy to throw in just a few hints of an irish accent just to make him a mix of influences.
@@wpelfeta I forget where the name came up as well, but it's pretty obscure. Oh wait! The FANS called him Bogard. Otherwise, he has yet to have a name, let alone enough anime/manga time to compete with Shanks.

I saw someone suggest that the little reindeerguy could be played by a child actor who has horns on and mildly edited or makeup(like the nose etc) because technically the character is a child so its not far off
He made a great point of Luffy wanting to be King of the Sailors. That's what I thought too. If you don't do any messed up or illegal activity, then you're not a pirate by definition haha. But I guess pirate has a better ring to it.
Dont worry Ussop will probably come back to his village to see Kaya after they find One Piece, and they literally need to sail around the planet to get back to the start so thats gonna take a while. But he will have so many stories to tell her.
I think the reason that they did not find many critics is because they barely watch or nevr watch/read one piece because they think grandline is the equator while it's not
when you saw something that is a spoiler in the video, dont worry that much cause when watching the anime i even knew people that forgot everything that they knew before starting the anime cause of how long it is (and time that took) for them to reach any certain episode that they got spoiled lol
They’re pretty much going around the world, which takes a long time by ship. We see clips of everyone from time to time and in the manga we get updates on everyone’s lives once in a while via cover stories. The people we tend to see more of are the other marines or pirates that are also kind of moving along in the same direction. But there are characters we’ve met in season one of the live action that will have an impact in the story in some ways. While we may not see Kaya again, her connection with Usopp will come back around eventually in a cool way. And as you might guess, there is still a bunch of mystery in a lot of these stories/backstories. Like I find it interesting a character like Sanji was just randomly on a ship with no mention of family before Zeff. A lot of the start of the series can be overwhelming, especially in the anime because there is just so much randomness. Eventually everything comes together and is a lot more clear, but that mystery is always at the heart of the story.
also a example of a cover story is the one about what happens with helmeppo and koby after they joined the marines (that it became a 2 episodes filler in the anime) and maybe they based of this to make those moments of them with garp in the series
Oda did a great job in picking the right actors for me idgaf of the accent just turn on the subtitles and your fine just like in anime... But i do like more of the Gomu Gomu no instead of the Gum Gum 😂😂 can't wait for the season 2 🚬🚬💨💨

Hi Deasha, FYI you probably should NOT watch anything else like this unless several, at least 10 of us say it ok to watch without getting spoiled, because yeah, most of the guys who make videos about one epice wont be able to avoid it even if they try too cause it such a massive series and at a certain point you wont be able to tell whats a spoiler or not cause you'll have decades worth of worldbuilding in ur head.
I don't think I've ever seen such an awful spoiler 😭😭😭 If I knew you were going to to watch this I hope I'd have warned you 😅 I admit I'm not certain I'd have remembered, though lol
Since you've already been spoiled on it, I will confirm that Usopp has not seen Kaya again in the series (currently 1093 chapters). I, like most fans, believe that Usopp will return to Syrup Village to tell Kaya of his adventures after the Strawhats find the One Piece and the series ends. Garp's assistant (the Marine with the fedora, whose name you said you never knew) is Bogard. His name was said one time in the live action (which is one time more than it has ever been said in the manga or anime).
yeah, slow is an understatement, what the live action covered is probably the most boring arc of one piece, and i'm not saying it's bad, there are great moments there, but it can't be compared with the other arcs, the serie only really starts after they enter the grandline, so yeah, if they adapt well this next arc in second season, it will be huge and netflix will definitely make at least 12 seasons of it.
But if we talking about anime adaptation, east Blue is actually not even close to the most boring or the slowest arcs. It's the only arc I love to rewatch in anime.
