I liked the video, very comprehensive! Some minor video feedback: if you watch back, you say ‘umm’ or ‘err’ one or two times a sentence! It’s totally ok to pause a little and not have to fill the gap!
I can tell you really like this game. It makes this review a lot more fun to watch than many others. If you like this game I'd also recommend Dungeon Degenerates. My crew rotate between these two.
on the arcane portal quest...on .the arcane cultist a.i. steps ...move to heroes on step [1]and attack w/ arcane bolts or use los and attack w/ range capabilities..same question w/ steps [2]&[3]…?
I'm looking for dungeon crawler to go, this seems a little bit to linear :( I'm torn between this and Folklore: The Affliction. What do you think, are there many ways to approach a scenario in S&S, or it's linear and there's no room for strategy?
The missions in the base set have been "linear, with options"! The overall mission IS quite linear, but there are very differing battle tactics depending on the make up of the party, and there are some delicious synergies to make this aspect immensely fun and replayable. But, ultimately, it IS a written for you adventure that is "on wheels, but with some limited steering along the way" in terms of locations to explore and different encounters you may or may not have or choose differently in on a replay. Hope this helps!
Last I used it, it's mostly a "save your game" type app; can track your inventory and the like so it's easy to set up next game. Haven't yet seen any real in game use of it although it may have been updated recently!
You can play just one hero each! Makes it a little harder of course, as you'll have less variety of abilities available, but is a fun way to play and definitely part of the design.
Very fiddly,could have been steamlined good ai and dice.would have been better with team turns instead of I swing they minion swings back. Only 3 in box enemy's so u have to kill each one about 80 times in campaign
Heya! Unlikely bud! Haven't got to play it much the last couple of years, so very behind in the waves. Great game, love the system, small but quality competitive scene....still a great game if you want a deeper, more strategic experience than X-Wing!
I would be happy to; this is "meatier", and with all the expansions and planned expansions, there's a wealth of content to enjoy :) Descent is very good though!

Hey! Have you tried this game using the Swords & Sorcery companion app? If so does it improve things?

If you play this game with 2 players do both players have to control multiple hero’s or can you just play with one each?
