can you give other players your gold and they sit back and carry every ones gold to keep it safe? and when you purchase items can you give gold to one another to buy items?

nice job, Oren! How do you feel about the monsters' AI? Did you notice any clunkiness?

Does this game give you more of the Heroquest feel?

I really like the material of the minis. Not to hard that it breaks easily but not to soft that it is all bendy. And of course they dont look as good as GW but good enough, like FF quality

How would you compare/contrast/rate this game up against Mantic's Dwarf Kings Quest?

I own both games. I feel Dungeon Saga is less fiddly and much less complex. It also has a 1 vs all mechanic which S&S does not. I feel the components are much better in S&S (especially the minis, I think the Mantic minis are pretty terrible personally) and the game play is deeper and better, but has a higher learning curve at first in S&S, but once you have the rules down it isn't that bad.

Great video. I like the format. Cool, no nonsense and quick.
However the game itself is the same old, old single action AI behaviour with or without a die roll to decide what it does ...
Designers these days should look what the competition did already before launching a game that uses old random AI decisions.
Top of the AI bots these days is Conflict of Heroes with the Eastern Front solo expansion from John Butterfield/Eickert and curiously this system was used already - in a very simplified way - by the coop/solo App for Descent2 in 2016.
Meaning... the AI bot ACTS on the global board situation, the state of the player units AND the state of its own units through a series of AI cards that have between 3-10(!) different instructions (and using the first one that applies to the above situation).
Of course Descent2 uses a simplified instruction system with mostly a 3 way instruction set for its mobs and boss fights, but this original AI bot system of CoH is sooooo much more sophisticated that any other AI based on single unit behaviour AND random die rolls ... means that it became meaningless to me as a worthy AI opponent.
But as stated, your video was great. Thanks for showing.

The BoBo Did you play Galaxy Defenders? it is the predeccessor of this game. The Basic idea seems to be old. But the incarnation of this System in these two games beat Descent f.e. easily. It is Deep and tactical. And the monsters feel very distinct from each other. And it is not random because you know the whole script. The only thing you Do not know is the time of the activation. So it is an evolution of the System. And it is still the Best AI system on the Market.

Die Nische I am not going into the "better than" discussion. Everyone has his own taste, but concerning the evolution in AI, there is no doubt the Conflict of Heroes Eastern Front solo expansion is at the edge of the latest design mode with John Butterfield as the Jedi Knight. Look both game and designer's history on BGG and look at its 8.6 rating system btw.

Nice review...I agree with your assessment so far. I've just started playing but it seems to be better than Myth and at least equal to Descent 2. I really enjoyed Descent campaign and the newer app....so I can't quite comment yet if one is 'better' than the other. So far though, I'm really enjoying S&S.

is it a bit racist to label or stereotype all goblins as greedy? were they even goblins and not gremlins? or do all greenskins look the same to you? 😜 just kidding. as always Rob, great review and very down to earth. I have had my eye on this game for a while, it looks great. would it be too complex to play with under 10's? my daughter does very well with ravenloft and legend of drizzt etc. this looks tougher. might be academic as my wife will kill me if I bring another board game into the house.
