Yesterday i was building a base in creative in below zero with the seatruck dock, it takes up space but it's still nice to have honestly waiting for the large room to get added to the base game honestly
Awesome! I remember trying creative mode in Subnautica for the first time, but I still kind of wanted to have to find resources to build things, so that would give me a reason to cruise around the map. Now I can do that in Below Zero! Start in creative mode and then check “building requires resources”! Time to boot this game back up again :D
LOL! That vegetarian diet option. I usually end up that way naturally during my runs because it's easier than maintaining a stock of fish. I was kinda hoping that they'd nerf the Perimeter Defence upgrade. It trivialises leviathans and destroys tension. It did so in the original, too, but at least with that it was only available for the Seamoth, which couldn't go down to the deepest regions anyway. Probably the best option would be increasing energy usage and having more guaranteed damage when the beasties grab you.
The game is already trivial and easy without perimeter defense though, and you dont have to use it, idk where this idea comes from that Subnautica is supposed to be hard, its really not, its the type of game your grandma can play, the perimeter defense upgrade suits that style of gameplay.
Subnautica creatures detect you from way further than they start attacking you from, and when they do attack you they deal very little damage for their size because Subnautica actually wants you to feel more of the psychological kind of fear than the "scary monster is gonna kill me" kind of fear. I believe the game would be more realistic and challenging if you crank both aggression and creature damage to max, and also player damage to max (one single stab well place can kill almost any creature, especially the ones that aren't leviathans), that could make for a pretty difficult yet maybe possibly fun challenge!
I really feel like custom games are a really cool and interesting feature that can be used to play the game how you want. Also keep up the good work with these videos.
@@TheLastBacon I agree. Like doing a max enemy aggression and max damage multiplier. Possibly with permadeath as well. It would make for a hard and interesting run.
I like how the Unstuck button is not completely broken like a revamped OG SubEscapePod command that warps you back to a sea base or something from a submersible. You’re still in grave danger if you use it in a Leviathan scenario to get some breathing room, like it SHOULD BE. So it’s a lot less of a ‘mom, come get me, I messed up’, keeping people from cheesing any bad scenarios.

Good update, just disappointed it took a year. Seems like unknown world just shoved the game aside for a long time, to add very little. Would love a new BZ biome, that could possibly fill the emptiness of the jellyfish and marguerites greenhouse biomes.

Can we just tak about how cool seatrucks are? Like you can add attachments to make it longer then my relationships, (which even with no attachments its still longer) and you can drive it in space! Imagine adding tons of attachments, and just playing ping pong with planets and the seatruck as the paddle!

To my knowledge, they also added a jukebox disc into the game that has the trailer music. It could've also been added a while ago, but we just never noticed
While I think that the sea truck dock looks a little derpy unless you build your base around it, I won't deny that it would have been incredibly useful to have during my play through of the game. Only thing I'd want added to it is a charge indicator for the sea truck like there is in the moon pool when you have the modification station added, unless there is one and I just missed it in the five minutes I poked around with it.
If you dock the prawn suit to the sea truck, and dock the sea truck to the dock, after that get into the prawn suit while the sea truck is in the dock. Then you can walk on an invisible ground in the ocean that is level with the dock.
I am currently doing a challenge with the sliders, where I have limited day time and longer night time. I have to spend my day getting food, materials, water and in the future, building. The aggression is at it’s max and the damage is really high. The challenge is at night ‘the aggressive fish’ come to find you (not really. It’s just part of the challenge) so you have to stay in the drop pod, Alien containment areas (like where you meet AL-AN) and the very deep twisty bridges, and the bigger broken ship segments (because it would be hard to get there and back with everything you need in a day). The only way to travel at night and be safe is your sea truck. My goal is to have multiple bases; One per biome so it’ll be easier to stay safe and travel It’s not a full fleshed out challenge but it’s actually pretty fun Oh, and staying at the surface at night may be an issue because it’s freezing and weather has been changed so it happens almost all the time/much more often
Really hope they add the seatruck and seatruck dock In the normal subnautica in subnautica 2.0 Since if you have the docking module for the seatruck and a seatruck dock, the moonpool becomes almost completely useless in below zero, but if it was in subnautica 2.0 it would make it so it would be worth it to have both a seatruck dock and a moonpool.

The seatruck dock was one of those things I wonder why it wasn't in the game but I made do with the moonpool and this sea truck is very convenient so that is great. And an unstuck button is great as no game is perfect but it does become annoying when a game is so big, there is a notable chance and risk of getting stuck that you cannot unstuck yourself without via cheating to keep your stuff from an oversight, or suicide and risk losing your stuff because of something very dumb.
This makes me excited to play Subnautica BZ. I own the game but can't play it because my computer is too slow. I've been saving up for a gaming computer and am almost there.

I got Below Zero and Subnautica for the switch today. I had it set to custom on my Below Zero file, and man, it’s going good so far that I set my game to not having depleting oxygen and no food and water needed. And having all the tools. I had fun exploring the Twisty bridges and trying to scan everything. And there’s only one creature I don’t know what it is. I’ve watched some Below Zero Playthroughs, and I’m kind of stuck after what you do after getting that Morse code rescue signal in the beginning of the game. The weird creature was the yellow and pink shark thing; which I also Didn’t bother going to one area because I thought the Chelis were there.

The new dock is cool, but they NEED to add a ton more storage to the seatruck, one of my favorite things to do in subnautica is to go to the lava zone and mine a bunch of materials and hoard them all, but that's pretty much impossible in BZ

You could throw a rave party with the fast day/night cycle. I'm still waiting for 1st Subnautica to get that awesome room on the Epic Games version. I want to move my robospiders into it and get a good view of the geysers. I also hope the update won't break all of my glitched-up moonpools.
Might be cool if in some update they'll secretly add some deep void leviathan without telling anyone in cover of some bug fix or "surprise update"

Fight for multi-Player added onto the upcoming 'Subnautica 3'. Do not ruin your games with huge after thoughts, you will regret it as did 'Stranded Deep' Console players did. I stay away from 'Stranded Deep' now because I want to build like it use to build but now I am left with a speed run in comparison to its initial release 2 years ago on Console.
Again, PC are not affected by these changes, do not get confused.
Yeah I’d imagine if anything - we might see multiplayer with the next game :)

You could throw a rave party with the fast day/night cycle. I'm still waiting for 1st Subnautica to get that awesome room on the Epic Games version. I want to move my robospiders into it and get a good view of the geysers. I also hope the update won't break all of my glitched-up moonpools.
