    The bottom cup of the air spring has to be horizontal with the lower arm where it mounts . If it’s not the air spring will lean towards the shock and blow out . Ask me how I know this I had 3 blow out in one month . These guys makes seems like the cup will do that by itself . I’ve seen every video that no one mention this but it’s very important .

      @@JavierRamirez-wy9kg 10:29 the coil like part of the bottom of the air spring is tilting up. but it should be horizontal with the lower arm.

    THANK YOU!!! Just changed the drive rear airbag myself. Had to pickup a Husky bottle jack from HomeDepot for $20.00 to assist me realign the shock hole to reattach the shock. Thanks again! Hey Vinyo if you only replace the rear right you can expect to need to replace the left side in short order. I know. I did. I took my CLS500 to a local repair shop a year ago and they charged me $1175.00 to replace one. I got feed up with it riding low and just bit the bullet. I had previously replace the 2 front myself. I bit easier, since you have more clearance. I just used a floor jack and stands and did them in my backyard.

    You should note that those clamps might work they are prone to leakage and you should use a factory styl hose clamp because the apply even pressure 360 degrees versus normal hose clamps that only apply pressure at the 12 and 6 o'clock area of the hose clamp.

    So you did make sure the lower cup is not tilting ? That will caused the air spring to lean towards the strut .

    I have a question I can't find much answers to. C219 2006 cls500 airmatic. I keep seeing things about the factory air bag having an additional reservoir that the Arnott shock doesn't for ease of install. Something about dropping the subframe? Do you have to do this when removing a stock air bag? Everyone says you have to do this for install but I can't understand why you have to do it for install and not removal? Doesn't make sense to me. Anyone who's replaced the stock bags, do you have to drop the subframe to remove them?

      You can heat it up with a torch or cut it a little if you don’t have a torch.

    Do I have to bleed the air out of it before disconnecting the hose?

    • @SuncoreIndustries
      @SuncoreIndustries  5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hello, and thank you for watching. Yes, we recommend disconnecting the air-line and letting the air spring deflate first for easier removal. Also, be sure to use the supplied new air-line fitting on the new air spring when securing the air-line connection.

      They probably wanted to simplify the video. Plugging a clip into place is the easiest part of this job. This video helped me tremendously

      Hello and thank you for viewing our video. We have a conversion kit (127M-30-R) for that specified vehicle. See link to our rear conversion kit: suncoreindustries.com/product/17663/rear-air-to-coil-spring-airmatic-suspension-conversion-kit-e-class-w211

    I don't understand why you are removing the shock absorber from the top, you could just unscrew the lower tie rod on the wheel and remove the airbag easily, so I renewed it that way, your repair process was too much.
