Thank you for taking the time to film this. This is a huge problem for Mercedes owners that are out of warranty. The cost of the dealer is more than the value of the car sometimes. Teaching people that this can be done in their garage with minimal tools is awesome for humanity! May I suggest also if you own out of warranty Mercedes Benz the youcanic scanner does an amazing job for around $500. The tech support you receive is second-to-none
a tip from my side, if I may... for those pesky plastic clips from the rear arm plastic cover which holds the spring, press with a 7mm or an 8mm on top of those clips and you'll undo them ASAP.
Another thing, maybe people know already… when you unscrew the old fitting form the air bag, the air line stays in. You don’t need to cut it to install it on the new air bag. If you look closely it has a small ferrel that you can take apart and slide out the line. When you install the new airbag just push it in and give it a tug to make sure it’s not coming out .
Great video. Have you got an install video too? Mine is currently at the garage waiting for a compressor. It has already had one but failed immediately 🤦🏻♂️
My s212 was all so this issue and i choose..... Why Arnott? Arnott is the global leader in aftermarket air suspension products for your luxury car, truck or SUV. With an extensive line of high quality products for over twenty vehicle makes, you can be sure to find just what you need to fix your suspension. We offer a choice when repairing and replacing your failing air suspension system. You can either choose from Arnott remanufactured struts which provide O.E. functionality or Arnott designed and assembled brand new replacement air springs, struts, shocks or air suspension compressors. After change i have drien 60 000km and soon 2 winter is made too. About year ago i wisit Lapland (Finland side) there was about -33 degree air temperature. And I didint get any issue those days there soo...I think these air "springs" are good ones ;). So if i have to choose which one...I say orginal or Arnotts.
I suggest using new control arm covers. They are cheap to replace. I had one fall off and it took out the airspring compressor cover on the way. That was also a cheap piece but just extra potential for damage. Some people don't even put them back on but I like to keep it like original.
Wouldn’t it be easier if you loosened the shock absorber? As I can see on the wear on the old spring, it look like the protection has rubbed on the spring it self and made the leak. That’s some protection 😂
Hello guy I got c300 2016 coupe left hand on rear when park car in garage 1 hr , that side wheel will going down maximum , any one got any idea about that problem ? Air pipe was leak or suspension spring leak air ? Thank you guys Also right hand on rear wheel going down too but slower maybe take 6hr
The typical diagnostic is that car goes to ground after standstill all from few minutes after turn it off or few hours, usually is the air springs that’s are bad.
This is because you violated the golden rule : Never buy pre-facelift Mercedes!!!. And U wouldn't have to replace this air spring so early. thanks for the video.
A pitty I can't post a picture. I got a E220 Bluetec S212 2016 and it have had issues since I bought it 2 yrs ago. but now more frequently. I just don't see my model listed, but my setup looks just the same. Really like the pricing, how did you find the source/manufacturer?

Good to see you making vid again 🤘👍🙏
future request- Front shocks absorber replace video!
Thank you for sharing how to change the air sping ! 👍
Great vid as always - just like I suspected, the damage/puncture is hidden by the protective cover
Great Video, is it necessary to disconnect battery?
I would suggest disconnecting the compressor and valve block
I have a 2011 e63. All stock. I replaced the air spring as well as the compressor but it is still sitting at a finger length height.
Time for this job on mine now. Does this Vigo Spring still hold up well after a year? Do you recommend to use them? Long shipping?
Finally you back ..👍🤝👏
Hello, thanx for the video, its posible to seal that holes?
Great video, with a perfect ending! Mercedes could fit better-quality parts.
Great video. Have you got an install video too? Mine is currently at the garage waiting for a compressor. It has already had one but failed immediately 🤦🏻♂️
Thanks! For now I only have this video but probably coming more videos of this topic later on.
Are these airbags better than Arnott? In one of your videos you used Arnott. I’m just wondering because I have to tackle this job soon.
Thank you
Good job, it's better to chance with original or aftermarket parts?

So satisfying removing the old airspring 👌
It was and actually so much more easy then I had in mind.

Another great video buddy 👍
Good to see you back . Did you get another S212 ?
Thanks! Feels good to make videos again. So far I rocking my old W124 but the good part is some friends have bought W212 so I kinda get involved : )
My car seems not have air spring original, cam I add this ?
I had big issues to get them out. It was so muddy in the axle.
Almost destroyed my car😂😂
Ha😂 this brought back memories. I had trouble getting one of them out of the bottom mounting pan as well.
Yah haha it was quite some hammering before it come loose!
I used drill bit like router to cut the first one up from bottom; on the other side I decided to use 3 jaw gear puller. 🤦🏻
How are the air springs after 2 months? Still ok, no probs?
Lots of driving done and have been cold outside until now and no issue at all 👍 Let’s check in a few months again.
@@MB212still holding well? Noticed my car is low last night😅 gonna drive without fuse for compresssor a bit i guess, to save it
How do you remove the top black clip? Mine stays in the body , didn’t come out either the air bag.
Edit: got it, it unscrews.l
Perfect 👌
Need help for O2 censors issues

hej, måste man byta det där clipset för jag kan inte hitta det på någon hemsida
Det går bra o använda, brukar gå sönder det därför jag nämnde den. Följer även med nya beroende på vilka bälgar man köper.

I like Your Videos respect
Süper video 😊
I wish mine came out as easily as yours-good grief!
How you find problem? How diagnostic this?
The typical diagnostic is that car goes to ground after standstill all from few minutes after turn it off or few hours, usually is the air springs that’s are bad.
Thx bro! But I have very interested problem, spring full then temperature outdoor “+” and empty then 0 or “-“ , just only on left side.
Yah sometimes it can happen when temperature difference go like that!
Easier to change than steel spring.

This is the last facelift W212 2016 hehe and the issue is same on all years.
@@MB212 No. In the pre-facelift models air springs fail much more frequent. And: NO, you never buy pre-facelift Merc. Just don't. :)
Bro is the same part-nr for all year W212 :))) Yah I prefer also the latest facelift usually.
@@MB212 Well, I have S212 2014, with rear air springs, 320K km and never had any problems with the suspension at all?
