I close friend mine told me a story. Back in the days his father work for Prai Sugar refinery as a supervisor but unfortunately he was diagnosed with cancer. Robert Kuok as the top most management person has time put in time to know the well being of each of his employees. He learnt that my friend father has the unfortunate condition he then personally instruct his assistant to every month send essential food, medicine and items to my friend family. Unfortunately my friend father passed away and Robert Kuok has provided additional assistance to his family. Such leader is worthy to put your time and effort to build his business.

It appears to me his priority is to help out his ancestorial country before his adopted country. He probably also sees more business growth potential in the huge Chinese market compared to the relatively tiny Malaysian or Singaporean markets..in order to be closer to keep an eye over things there so he prefers to base in HK instead of SGP or his birth place in JB ? Anycase, it's positively noteworthy that he has decided to invest into the Iskander region, although i sense he may find it arkward staying in Malaysia again as he may prefer China (HK) where he's not the richest person there, unlike in Malaysia where he would be the richest..with that status probably then getting the sort of attention he may not want ? In this Chinese interview, it only mentions 2 of his children..he obviously have a few more. It would be great if an interview in English can be done as well as being English educated, he would then be able to articulate himself much better in English than in Chinese. Robert Kuok his nick name is or rather 'was' Sugar King of Malaysia. He controlled the sugar price for many years, make it cheap for Malaysian, when the BN forced him to sell off his empire, the sugar prices went up and up .,.,. went up almost 80% of the prices within 3 years. Then BN came out with a sick joke " we need to raise the price because too ' cheap ' sugar will cause diabetics because people tend to use more sugar if the sugar price is low ".
Six years after BN had gobble up Robert Kuok's sugar empire but the diabetics statistics among Malaysian is still soaring .... maybe BN did not increased the price high enough. ;/

It appears to me his priority is to help out his ancestorial country before his adopted country. He probably also sees more business growth potential in the huge Chinese market compared to the relatively tiny Malaysian or Singaporean markets..in order to be closer to keep an eye over things there so he prefers to base in HK instead of SGP or his birth place in JB ? Anycase, it's positively noteworthy that he has decided to invest into the Iskander region, although i sense he may find it arkward staying in Malaysia again as he may prefer China (HK) where he's not the richest person there, unlike in Malaysia where he would be the richest..with that status probably then getting the sort of attention he may not want ?
In this Chinese interview, it only mentions 2 of his children..he obviously have a few more. It would be great if an interview in English can be done as well as being English educated, he would then be able to articulate himself much better in English than in Chinese. If LKY's talks are thought provoking, then hearing RK talking would certainly be just as, if not even more so !
