Do the graphics come from one of Susan E. Harris' books?
If do which one is it?
If not, where could I get copy of it?
    Please 🙏💗

I rather wish that someone would do a study of all this apparatus in the Standardbred, with overchecking.

Looking at the discussion on the bit with the fluoroscopy I noticed that the angle of pull on the bit was typically western. In French Classical dressage the angle of pressure on the bit is more towards the ears and not back towards the horses shoulder. That change in angle causes the horses to chew rather than gap or tighten from pressure such as with the angle towards the shoulder as in more traditional riding. In French Classical Dressage the jaw flexion causes more of a raising of the poll and chewing when done correctly. Thereby relaxing the poll. Interesting now I can see how the tongue and Hyoid apparatus would help with the poll relaxation.

Actually, the horses used in the study were dressage horses. Do you have any studies to confirm your above concepts? If so please share.
