  • NOTE: Clutch plates need to be coated in oil. I soaked them after reassembling everything, add the engine oil and ran the engine for 10 minutes so the clutch becomes oiled. No need to soak them overnight. Old wives tale. Cheers!
This is a walkthrough guide on clutch replacement and even oil change. I hope you find this video helpful and enjoyable, if you do please subscribe for more! Support me on my mission to make cinematic builds and tutorials! Occasionally CineVlogs.
Smoking, jazz, and doing my regular maintenance on my bobber. Here's a short film tutorial on how to replace the clutch disks on a Honda Rebel motorcycle. I'm using my bobber as reference but this applies to most bikes out there. I hope this helps!

Great vid, the mood! Just some technical things. The main basket nut obviously also has a proper torque value to it, and new disks, let them bathe for a while in fresh engine oil before installing. It prevents unnecessary premature wear or damage. ;)

ANSON HSU Same to you and stay safe! I mostly got into working on bikes via Chinese scooters. No shops would touch em so I dug in by necessity. I've had thousands of trouble free miles on a couple of my rebuilds and went with the rebel largely for it's simplicity. I wanted a bike in which I'd be pretty confident tackling whatever it might throw at me.. hoping for many good years with it. Currently my main vehicle.

great tutorial 10/10. but my clutch problem has to do with the return arm. when the transmission housing plate is bolted on, the arm spring seems to have no tension, and clutch lever on the handel bar wont return. when i remove the transmission housing plate, the arm will snap back fine. there is a little rod sticking out of the clutch basket that i assume is what the clutch arm is pushing against. have you heard of or encountered this problem and do you know a solution for it? thank you.

Hello, the exhaust are called "Shorty Mufflers" by EMGO I got on eBay. Just make sure you get the correct inner diameter so that it slips over your exhaust. Or use an inlet reducer like the ones included with these mufflers here: www.ebay.com/itm/EMGO-Slash-Cut-Chrome-Exhaust-Mufflers-SOLD-AS-PAIR-Great-Deal-51-00903/254057429755?epid=1832895509&hash=item3b2700bafb:g:XLoAAOSwPI1au-bA
