Omg I thought I was the only exhausted student 😭 your study vlogs always give me the extra motivation I need to get things done ☺️ good luck to everyone else studying hard for their goals, we’ve got this 💜
Good luck to you too Khalilah! It's kinda "March syndrome" I feel like, when it gets too tiring for students- we all get it around this time of the year😅
I would like to introduce you the Scottish slang meaning of "shattered"- when exhausted doesn't have enough impact, when you're so tired you just feel shattered into little pieces. I've been pretty shattered recently too- a long week or moving around and thinking setting up a big plasma physics experiment. Haven't been able to read at all the last week- basically just passed out when I get home. :( Hoping it eases up soon though!
From the old English word 'sceaterian' meaning broken into little pieces. I think I have been 'shattered' for the last three decades. Anyway, that is my one and only pedantic comment of the day. Have a good one.
*does a happy dance* cannot even tell you how stressed i was through out the day due to my examinations and yet you manage to take all the stress away with your calm voice and charming smile. Take care emma
I’m always so impressed by the way you use background music in your vlogs. They perfectly flow with the rhythm of the video. You clearly have a good eye and ear for like dramatic beat. Anyway good vlog as always!!
I love your videos so much Emmie! The atmosphere is amazing. Thank you for your vlogs, they give me that needed piece. There’s a war in my country and watching your videos gives me hope that someday everything will eventually go back to normal and I will be able to read and to live.
this is so calming to watch after school! also, i got an english assessment back today and it meant that we'd done one for bother papers for english language and i just added up the total scores and it was just above a grade 8 (with 9 being the highest) and i'm really happy! i still have a year to perfect it as well so i'm really glad that i'm already at this level
ngl these vlogs are way too calming T_T I'm stressing out as a student too but watching her getting back on track and work AND make videos, upload them regularly makes me feel warm
fellow tired english major here. haven't had time to come here in so long I'm so glad to see you're doing well Emma💗💗💗 can't wait to be done with finals to catch up on 8 months worth of your videos
The fact that I was having a bad day and then I see a notification from you that seemed to brighten up my day speaks volumes. can definitely relate to the feeling of heavy school work, this week already has felt draining but I'm glad I got some work done and can reward myself with some youtube. Love you emmie
So I'm studying Viscom Design, have been for the last two years...and I have always disliked it. I have never felt giddy or interested in the course material. Watching your videos reignited my love and passion for writing and storytelling...so I decided last week to drop all my design units and do a creative writing class! I absolutely adore it already and spend all my days reading now instead of stressing over assignments I do not care for. Thank you for your book rambles and warm cups of tea, they are inspiring
Man, I love LOVE your videos. They are so relaxing and I enjoy hearing you speak. Thank you for uploading videos even though you have so much on your plate. I assume many of your viewers appreciate it!!
I’m on spring break this week but it isn’t even really a break because I’ve still got a ton homework and assignments to finish - this video was a lovely 20 min distraction :) thank you
I’m lost for words by how frequent you uploads these videos🥺 I really appreciated your dedications to this and you can always tell us when you’re exhausted or lost or whenever you’re feeling down, we can’t be the exit to this maze but at least let us be your companions in every step you take 💙
I was not expecting one of your videos so soon! woot woot! LOL I am right there with you when I was attending Columbia University literally just a few months ago the sheer VOLUME of reading and assignments! I can't believe I made it and so will you emmie! xoxo 🥰 (dang the hail was really coming down all up in your coat LOL) hey that intense choral music, I recognized it immediately, good word to describe it too btw. 🎼 Intense for sure hehehe it's called "Misere mei deus" if anyone wanted it. 🤣 "confused vibing". yeah the song is worth a listen it's about 14 mins long
Thank you so much, I also recognized it but couldn't remember what it was for the life of me so you've saved me several hours of irritably trying to reconstruct the rest of it in my head 😂
@@Cubehead27 you are very welcome! it sucks when you hear a tune that you are familiar with and can't get the name of the song! trust me been there! hahaha 🖤
I am in a very similar place as you are. I am an English student, tired constantly, and in need of a break. It's so lovely to hear about your process writing essays and annotated bibliographies and reading books for classes. Right now, I've been reading various essays for different classes. Not very excited about some of them, but I always find something interesting in each of them.
Oh wow, even though I can tell you're quite tired and probably quite stressed, you still managed to make me nostalgic for my late night studying days. I'm doing a co-op work term right now and I absolutely can't wait to return to my English classes in the summer term. I miss them so much. It's funny how a passionate English major can feel so lost without their lectures.
I seriously enjoyed following your around for the day! All that hail and snow and sleepiness made it seem like the ideal day for staying in bed, with a bunch of choccy and reading + napping. I hope you get some serious good breaks in between all your busyness. Also, your vibe is immaculate.
The intense choral music is Allegri's "Miserere"! Legend has it, it was super secret and only supposed to be performed at the Vatican on Ash Wednesday, but a young W.A. Mozart went to a service, heard the whole thing once, and cheekily wrote it all out from memory :)
I also am an english student but education major, so I always looking for motivation by watching your videos. These days been so hectic and tired, and watching your videos (especially college vlogs) made me relaxed and got back my motivation to do the assignments. It's okay for being tired and I hope you're doing well, emma
Hi Emmie! As always, your videos provide such a sense of calmness in my day. I’ve been studying for mocks recently and my final GCSE exams. Safe to say, I’ve been really stressed lately, and your videos combined with my own reading have been carrying me through these past few weeks. Sending you all the strength to get through exam season!
I'm glad you post new videos often. I haven't been okay lately and your videos somehow help me go through my situation. I hope you're doing fine and do know that I really appreciate how frequently you're posting.
Yayy perfect timing to help me wind down after a stressful day. My new semester at university has just started and I'm a little overwhelmed with everything that I have to do, books I have to organize and things I have to read. I also have two huuuge essays due in April and I haven't really started with either one of them, which makes me worried just thinking about it... Your videos are always a safe space for me to just do nothing, have a cup of tea in bed and relax, so thank you
I can relate to this video so much, my workload of this semester is crazy and my academic life has been chaotic, we have teamworks due every week and presentations to be prepared every week and all our free time is consumed by school at this point
This entire video was just a whole mood. Especially the weather. Here in Hamburg (Germany), the first 2 1/2 months of the year had just been gloomy raininess/cloudiness pretty much everyday. We even had one entire week full of just storms. Train traffic had to be seized, etc. It was a whole chaotic thing. Now, we've been getting purely sunny days for the last week and a half. In terms of weather 2022 has just been saying "yes" so far. Hope you're doing good. Much love, as always, from Hamburg
As someone who is going through their first experience of university (as a "mature" student so it's been a long time since I've been to school) your videos are an incredible motivation to be the academic I've always dreamt of. Good luck with your essays and the results of your test.
I love your videos Emma! Thank you for sharing your day with us. Even your tired videos are so comforting to me. What a beautiful soul you are.Thank you!
Ah what a delight! I always look forward to your study vlogs, Emma, what an accurate glimpse into the stressful season of an English major 👌. I did several annotated bibliographies during my time at uni, and they were usually quite helpful I found, and made me think a bit more critically about why I was using each source. I also relate a lot to finding very little time for personal reading during the busy times of the semester, it's just so overwhelming! I hope all goes well with your studies and you get good time for rest soon too ☺️
As a viewer who has been enjoying your videos and your presence for the past year, I hope I am overstepping any boundaries by saying this, but I am glad you decided to have something else after your oatmeal before going to do your test... As a very stressed out student, I completely understand what it is like to overwork and feel less hungry due to anxiety. I hope you are fuelling your body with enough food, because it is SO important, especially as I know that you are working out quite a bit these days... Anyways, I hope I am not making you uncomfortable with this comment. I just truly hope you are still taking care of yourself as best as you can:)
I'm also reading Paradise Lost, just finished Book 6 today. Milton's a madman but his poetry is so good. Thanks for sharing your day; it's very inspiring to see you study ^_^
Yea it's always pretty rough when you have to walk to get somewhere in wet and windy weather. Everyone's going to look a mess, though, so you're noy alone. I love when you show your college. It's gorgeous, and I love thar kind of architecture. The baroque music was perfect, and I'm personally fond of the music in that era. We also got treated to that lovely choir music :) I laughed out loud when you told the plushy, they were lucky to be able to stay in bed. When the weather's like that, it is a staying in bed kind of day Afterall.
Girl that drying clip in your uni was so relatable. Where I live the weather isn’t as extreme but I’ve arrived many days at my uni looking like I just passed through a hurricane 😅😅
Oh Emmie, I know how that BED LOOKS...just a quick 3 minutes. Lol. But you will get through this. One of Mother's favorite quotes was: THIS TOO SHALL PASS... Spring break?? Do you have one soon?? I hope so. Luv ya, from one book junkie to another. (When I get sleepy, from reading or computer work my left eye starts closing...like: hint, hint.) 🤸♀️📚🌈♥️
there are only a few months left for my university entrance and I am watching this video over and over again because I want to study english and getting used to it will be quite enjoyable, or so I think.
Thank you so much Emma. I was having a really hard day and I was strugling so much with my mental health, and you just post a video. It really helps me a lot seeing your videos. You're such an inspiration for me and I LOVE you so much. You are my comfort youtuber of all time. I wish you all the best. ❤️❤️💓
First of all, Happy Women's day. It is night here. I was stressed throughout the day because of the assignments, exam preparations I had to do. (Tomorrow is my school too) I'm Pretty tired as well. So, thanks for the comfort zone! Now, I'm gonna cuddle up in my bed and watch the video peacefully!! Xoxo
I adore your videos and love following along! (That hail looked baaad)😄❤️ I just started my first semester of midwifery in February and currently am overwhelmed and in love with how much I’m learning every day! Sending so many happy thoughts to all from Denmark 💖
Thank you for letting us in to your day to days, it's such a nice escape 🤗 It's also super inspiring and motivating to try and get back myself back into the rhythm of things. I feel like I haven't popped in your comments for a while, so let me just share that I did a master in English last year while juggling my full time job and by the end of summer I was completely burned out and exhausted. I still have to submit the final dissertation and just can't bring myself to make time for it anymore 🙈 at this point I'll need to pay the fees and enroll again next year. Anyway, I'm hoping spring will bring in some much needed fresh air and energy ☀️ I'm the opposite to you in terms of weather haha I usually thrive with sun. I've also been learning how to cope and deal with my feelings recently since I started seeing someone and that's just been a whole other level of emotional challenge 😅 anyway, your channel Emma is such a blessing, I feel like it keeps me grounded and is always there for me. I admire your dedication to the videos despite how busy you are. Cheers to your infinite kindness 💜
I'm on spring break right now but you talking about your exhausting hit home 😂 I'm an advertising student and in the past two weeks I literally have not been able to read due to all the projects and stuff I had due. Midterm season is evil 😂😭
I was reading othelloooo, a short break from my unenjoyable paper for uni, and seeing your vid quickly add up to my minutes of breakkkk hehehehhe I LOVE YOUUUU
Just submitted a midterm portfolio that was larger than all my other coursework this semester combined. I'm reading and comparing Heidegger, Barbara Johnson, Fred Moten, Frantz Fanon, and Ranciere for my Philosophical Aesthetics class. Barbara Johnson is a literary critic and translator and it is so relaxing to read the work of literary critiques compared to traditional philosophers. I definitely don't read as much as you but as a student also doing close analysis of texts I hope you have a weekend to catch up on sleep and personal reading soon!
Oh lord, I wish I was you and found research relaxing in any way instead of a battle of monotony and stress for every decent source. But great for you on that. I admire your capacity for it for so long--hopefully I can adopt some of that relaxing and researching strength from you. Especially with a big Religious Studies paper coming up. Much well wishes with your large workload. Hope you get back to some of your own reading soon.
Love to watch you,Emmie. But not these days when planes are dropping bombs on my town and heart breaks every time the alarm is on.. I thought it's only in the books and films. Keep spreading the good stuff. Maybe it can stop the evil
This is so sad to hear. It breaks my heart to see the stuff you all are going through. Where are you in Ukraine? Praying for this to end as soon as possible and y'all to get through this safely. Stay safe and don't lose hope!
Nataliya, I am so sorry for you and Ukraine. I also thought the war in Europe only occurs in history books, that it belongs to the past. My thoughts and prayers are with you. You are a brave nation, we admire your courage and determination. Truth and goodness are on your side. I know all Poles support you and want to help you as much as we can. If it is possible, stay safe, stay strong and do not lose hope that better days will come, that peace and victory will come. ❤ Karolina, from Poland
damn I had no idea you were doing all this on your phone only! whenever I feel sad and/or exhausted or low in other ways (pretty much daily), watching a video of yours lights up my mood immediately
Hi Emma! I hope you are doing okay and taking whatever time you can for yourself. I can't believe that weather you had hahah, in Australia it's either boiling hot or flooding atm so 🥴 I'm about to start my final year of my undergrad, and I get to do an independent research project this year! I'm doing a study in platelet transfusion reactions, which is so different to your field of study, but I love watching your videos regardless🥰 good luck, let's study hard and get through it 🥲
just what I needed! keep on working hard emmie! I'm an English major too and I'm literally sharing the same struggles as you, but we can do it! all love from the Philippines💖
The second semester started pretty easy for me, except for this week, because I have to re pass an exam on Friday, so I'm studying a lot now. I'm a first year language and literature student btw. We're studying medieval literature now :) But I'm also into music very much, so it's a bit hard to find time for everything
I am in Adult School. I am studying Intermediate MOS (Microsoft Office Suite)... It is learn on yr own. I volunteer tutor in class, usually. (Yesterday I jumped between 5 students and 2 levels.) Because of tutoring and in class assignments most homework is done outside of class. I am in class (back since Fall 2021) approx 16 hrs a week. But I luv it. Soon, though I will be finishing and that makes me quite sad...but a new CHAPTER awaits...🌈
been loving your videos lately! for your apple watch, I've never had the red move ring glitch before but maybe try to backup. reset, and repair it to your phone? If that still doesn't work, I'm sure Apple support can help you through a call or something
i wish you a good luck :) but also take care of yourself emma, school is important but your mental health is more important so have a good sleep and do not stress yourself ❤
I love how frequently you're posting,it honestly makes my day
so glad:’) 💚
Exactly! And your profile picture is so cute 😊
I quite agree with you

👏👏👏👏
Have a good one.

ikrr her videos are the best stress relievers!!

this is so calming to watch after school! also, i got an english assessment back today and it meant that we'd done one for bother papers for english language and i just added up the total scores and it was just above a grade 8 (with 9 being the highest) and i'm really happy! i still have a year to perfect it as well so i'm really glad that i'm already at this level
Congratulations!!! ✨✨✨

Cheers to your infinite kindness 💜
i too, am a tired english student 😔
I'm on spring break right now but you talking about your exhausting hit home 😂 I'm an advertising student and in the past two weeks I literally have not been able to read due to all the projects and stuff I had due. Midterm season is evil 😂😭
a computer science major, but keep watching your vids cause the aesthetics are 👌👌
haha thank you!
I am your regular viewer. I am loving your vlogs day by day. Shakespeare in shocks kept me blushing. make more videos.
I do love your videos!^^ They are really bringing me the "peace" and motivation to live better during the lockdown time. Thank you.
This vid made my day, always a delight to watch these
Oh lord, I wish I was you and found research relaxing in any way instead of a battle of monotony and stress for every decent source.
Karolina, from Poland

What a magnificent door!
Can’t wait to see what your new camera does!
The second semester started pretty easy for me, except for this week, because I have to re pass an exam on Friday, so I'm studying a lot now. I'm a first year language and literature student btw. We're studying medieval literature now :) But I'm also into music very much, so it's a bit hard to find time for everything
This vlog cures my boredom for some reason.
thats what my english language student self needed right now
I am in Adult School.
The pumpkin shirt!!! obsessed
been loving your videos lately! for your apple watch, I've never had the red move ring glitch before but maybe try to backup. reset, and repair it to your phone? If that still doesn't work, I'm sure Apple support can help you through a call or something
My new favorite channel!!!
i wish you a good luck :) but also take care of yourself emma, school is important but your mental health is more important so have a good sleep and do not stress yourself ❤
thank you so much Doha
