- I was invited to ride some new Suzuki bikes at their launch event in Valencia Spain this weekend! Here is the first half of the day, on the new GSX-8R, and how I got on riding round the Spanish twisties.
This was my first time being included in a launch event, I am so grateful to have been invited and it was such an amazing experience!
I gelled with the 8R very quickly, it's extremely similar to the 8S which I'd ridden over winter, but with the changes that I would have liked on that bike - the aerodynamic shape and fly screen, and lower bars made it exactly how I would want it to be - all the pros of the 8S and none of the negatives, almost as if Suzuki directly answered my wishes.
I loved these roads so much that I'm planning to go back soon on my own bike to get more experience riding similar twisty roads, and hopefully if I get invited to anything like this again I'll be less overwhelmed by them and more capable of stringing a sentence together while filming...
Next up will be the GSXS1000-GX which I rode on the same day in the afternoon.
Exciting first launch ride for Liz. Getting some recognition which is well deserved. More will come along I'm sure.
Really happy for you Liz. Hope you can do more of these trips.
Well done. You've made it. Famous. 🎉
It's a perfect bike.
So pleased you’re starting to get these invites. You’re going to be the cutest in the group. Enjoy and ride safe.
Nice one, great vlog even with go-pro problems, great looking bike. Nice roads and weather in February. I'm glad you enjoyed yourself, take care, stay safe 🏍👌👍
Onwards and upwards Liz!!! Great content and reviews 🌟
Congrats on your first launch video , hopefully more to come, anyway looks like a very nice bike, one i would like to test myself this summer....🎉😊
Great video nice bit of road can't wait for the 1000 lucky girl being on the invite list now.
Excellent experience for you Liz. Handled it like a superstar. Keep the videos coming. Enjoyed every one you’ve put out. Looking forward to the next one.👍😀
Wonderful...i love all those bikes ❤
So pleased for you to get to do this, I really like your style of video - congratulations!
Love watching your videos liz what a great rider you are.hope to see you doing more of these rid safe keep on doing what you do best😊
Congratulations! You use be very proud! Best wishes and enjoy yourself.
Lucky you, must have been an amazing experience
Well done Liz love your videos
Until you reach 100k subs, I'll continue to watch your adverts.
I imagine I’d turn adverts off long before then as I’d be able to charge for sponsored videos. Right now I earn about £35 a month from TH-cam ads, but this month it’s £100 - because I’m uploading more frequently and the dragon rally brings in more viewers, this income is going into new camera equipments and I’m extremely grateful to everyone who watches my channel and also everyone who sits through the adverts 🥰 thank you
Omg check you out 👏👏👏 you lucky girl 😂 hope you get more of that!! Great work and very entertaining with all the information we need keeping it real you should be proud of yourself 👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏👏🤗🤗
that's so cool that you got invited:) great vlog
This good 👍
It was completely understandable to be nervous. You did very well. You certainly don’t want to play catch up as then it becomes unsafe so just ride to your pace and not the rider in front. I’m looking to do the same hopefully this year and I cannot wait. Stay safe 👍
Wow, I’d love to ride my gixxer on those roads, looks awesome!!
Thumbs up for getting these gigs, always enjoy your content and pleased for you. The 8R has great potential but those bars let it down. You’d need a billet top yoke to change them to proper clip ons.
Awesome
This lass is like Joahna Lumley with attitude. Suzuki power, from Vanvan to Vstrom. Kind regards.
Pretty damn good for a first time launch 👍🏻🩷
Thank you 😁
I came here because my wife saw you riding last week. She saw a bunch of blue bikes passing through.
Hope you liked the Valencian countryside.
We were riding the CV25 ourselves a few weeks ago. Amazing how little traffic there is, once you get of the main roads.
Nice vid, keep up the good work, enjoy yourself and stay safe
Thank you for your comment! You know you’re in a good place when people go there to show off their products (no one comes to Hampshire. No one.) You live in a beautiful place 😍 it was wonderful to experience it, hopefully I’ll be back 😁
If you're back in the vicinity, just drop a line.
I'll keep an eye out for a pink bike.
That was fun, thank you 😊
It's curious how calm this bike seems to be compared to my last Suzuki (a '99 gixxer 600).
The vstrom 800 re is basically the same price with the same engine, might be a good alternative for longer rides.
Good vid and a very well done on the 5K!!!🎉 How did you get the invite?
Lost in Valencia on a brand new Suzuki, nice small roads,20 degrees Celsius 😊.
Winterlife can be very nice !
Winter life is great, yesterday the British rain soaked through my waterproofs, all good for one’s character.
That looked like fun, condition of roads puts UK to shame.
I know! So strange, I wonder what the uk would do with similar terrain.
Really impressed this bike comes with up and down quick shifter from the factory. Do you feel any annoying vibrations from the handlebars with the engine? Curious if this thing would be decent for sport touring
I love the Suzuki quick shifters, it’s a small detail, but on my RR I can’t use the up shifter unless I’m wearing proper boots, but on Suzukis I could use it barefoot if I wanted to - it’s so smooth.
I didn’t notice annoying vibrations, it’s comfortable, I reckon it’d be a great bike for a longer trip - hopefully I can borrow one for a bit longer later in the year and then I’ll do some big mile days for you.
Sensible not trying to over ride your ability 👍🏻
👋😘
With this upright position, how long rides would you be able to take without getting uncomfortable?
The bike is very comfortable, stick a squashy seat cover on it and go forever
@@R1_Liz thanks!
Would you consider trading pinky for this?
No, Pinky stays, I’d be surprised if I found something I’d happily swap that bike for - we’ve done a lot together so I’m emotionally attached to it.
