2024 Suzuki GSX-8R Review

- The Suzuki GSX-8R is the fully-faired sibling of the GSX-8S, which was just released in 2023. Both bikes are powered by an all-new 776cc 4-stroke DOHC parallel-Twin that can also be found in the V-Strom 800 models.
The tubular handlebar from the 8S is traded for a pair of clip-ons on the GSX-8R that are about 2 inches lower and a smidge farther away from a rider, and the KYB suspension on the 8S has been replaced with Showa suspension on the 8R.
To demonstrate the breadth of capabilities offered by the GSX-8R, Suzuki invited us to Palm Desert in California for a ride on rural and mountain roads, followed the next day by sessions at a racetrack.

Test rode one yesterday. I’m 60 yo and have ridden a lot of bikes. Honestly, It exceeded my expectations! Old school 4 cyl guy…. It’s a fun bike and couldn’t stop grinning. Not scary fast but who cares. 130 mph is fast enough on the streets these days.
I hope they sell lots of these, great bike.

It's not a GSXR it's a GSX-8R, there's a difference.
Just bought one at the end of February and it’s just great in every way for me.
I'm really stoked about this bike. The sound reminds me of Italian machinery and the egos seem perfect for sporty street riding.
Best review yet. Nice in silver but that tail section is pretty horrible.
I bet the pretty blue wheels on the 1000gt are the same size, probably get them both for about $800 🤔

wet weight ?
It’s 3kg more than 8s fully wet so 206kg for the 8r, I have 8s and have put 2700 miles on it and still makes smile.
