I have owned the Maytag Commercial for about 4 years now and I wanted to correct some mis-information in the video as far as hot water so buyers can make an informed decision. The Maytag only TEMPERS the hot water on the normal cycle. It also only fills half way on normal and doesn’t fill a second time to rinse, it just sprays water as it spins. This normal cycle is like their eco cycle. All the other cycles does give you 100% hot water along with filling to the top and doing a true re-fill rinse cycle. I have owned it for years and have tested all of this. Again, you get 100% hot water in all but the normal cycle. I usually use the mixed or power wash cycles which are full function cycles. I have had no problems with mine in 4 plus years and the dual agitator is what sold me on it, it really gets dirty clothes clean. I highly recommend this washer.

I had a Maytag commercial. At the time I purchased the Maytag, it only had a one year warranty. The Maytag lasted exactly one year. Maytag would not fix the machine but luckily I bought an extended warranty from Home Depot and they couldn’t fix the machine so they gave us a full replacement cost coupon for a new machine of our choice. The Maytag cleaned well but broke beyond economical repair. Steer clear of the Maytag.

If you bought it at Home Depot it may not be a true _COMMERCIAL_ washer, but a _COMMERCIAL TECHNOLOGY_ machine.
Home Depot doesn't carry the MVWP575GW reviewed here, but one of the Whirlpool clones that also include machines badged as _Amana, Roper, Conservator, Crosley...._

I have the Maytag commercial washer with the 5 year warranty. I have had it for 5 years. It has broken down 4 times since I have had it, About once a year. First time was the Water Pump, second time was the Actuator, third time was the wiring harness (break in wire that tech couldn't find so he replaced), forth time was the transmission. The transmission gave out right when the warranty expired. Each time a repair was needed it took at least 30 days to get it fixed. I'm now shopping for another washer. I figure I have a spare part of everything after the 5 year warranty, if I can still get the P575GW0 model. It's a sad deal......most washers are junk and your lucky to get 3 years out of them without problems. (Average 5 loads per week.)
    UPDATE:
After doing some research, I ended up purchasing a Speed Queen TC5.

When I was assigned in the U.S from time to time I used to go around in your country just like any tourist. And I came across this scene in a construction site being worked on by a construction firm and here is my story. I came across this particular construction site, and other sites just like it out of curiosity and they said these same stories again and again! In the late 1960s and early 1970s construction workers used to say they can toss anything into a laundry machine that is heavily caked in oil and mud and even heavy boots in construction sites and these laundry machines and driers just keeps on doing the job 24-7 and 365 for many and many and many and many and mnay decades! One of the older workers said, these washing machines just keep on taking all kinds of abuse and yet they did a very good job in cleaning our stuff for decades without any problem ever since I have been working for this company for more than 50 years, he is a field foreman on that site. And my question is this. WHAT HAPPEN? I came across this particular construction site, and other sites just like it out of curiosity and they said these same stories again and again! I AM NOT LYING! AND I CAN STILL REMEMBER WHAT HE SAID AND I CAN STILL REMEMBER HIS OLD WEATHERED FACE WHEN HE TOLD ME THAT. So my question is, what happen!? His claims are true about those OLD corporate washing machines own by these construction companies, so my question is, WHAT HAPPEN!?

@@darthvader5300 Planned obsolescence abd corporate greed us what happened. So did consumer refusal to pay higher prices during inflationary times. Consumers are memorized by pretty lights, abd buttons and dials that give them a feeling of power to control a machines functions more precisely. They were told that appliances would last longer with less "moving parts" - the BIG LIE. HEAT and MOISTURE are the enemies of printed circuit boards. And what do you unavoidably have in kitchens and laundry rooms? BOTH ENEMIES! Manufacturers made appliances more electronically complicated in response and also to meet ever increasing One World Government mandates for energy and water usage abd polution reduction. We now have washers with plastic gears that make mud out of 3 gallons if water instead of the 10-20 gallons deep waterw washers like these use. Corporations NEED you to replace appliances more often because we don't have the post WWII population explosion feeding demand anymore. SPEED QUEEN washers are the ONLY truly heavy duty washer makers for home use. ALLIANCE - their renamed company builds virtually ALL BRANDS of commercial washers found in hotels and laundromats. A SQ front load washer is identical to the smaller machines cyo find in laundromats. Thus guy is a salesman trying to get you buy his high profit MAYTAG made if plastic parts identical to those of a cheap AMANA. The Speed Queen hasn't changed much since the 1960's. Changes have made them MORE SERVICEABLE. Are you sure this hustler used the same amount and type of detergent?

Simple breakdown of the deciding factors. SQ5000: Last five years longer(transmission/general durability) IF the 2 control boards holdup which may be hard to replace in a few years as they are exclusive to the model. Maytag: Washes a little better, core repairs are easier and parts easier to acquire for DIYers. 10/5 warranty on the GW model is the one to buy if you choose Maytag. Cheaper. That's my take. I went through this and bought the Maytag and I'm about 2 years in now with no issues at all.

I came across this particular construction site, and other sites just like it out of curiosity and they said these same stories again and again! @@FredFlintstone21What has worked for me:
Warm water, then rub Fels Naptha soap and work it in with a soft toothbrush. Let sit 15-30 min.
If stain is older or complex, spray with Oxiclean Max Force-after Fels Naptha-and let sit overnight.
Wash on WARM with an Oxiclean boosted detergent like All plus Oxi (this one has enzymes), add 1/4c Washing Soda to help detergent penetrate better. If garment could use disinfecting or is a towel/sheet, add 1-2 tbsp sodium percarbonate.
Do not put in dryer until stain is gone.
If it's an industrial mess like grease or chemicals, try making a paste of Lestoil plus Tide powder plus 70-90% rubbing alcohol. Rub on stain with toothbrush. After a couple of hours, spray with Max Force and let sit overnight.
Launder per above instructions (WARM + washing soda).

Thanks for your fine comparison video. Your chart is also excellent, so keep up the good work. We have a 2016 Speed Queen AWN432 that replaced a 9 year old LG front loader with a failing circuit board. Thankfully because of Speed Queen's reliability, we're probably not in the market for a new washer or dryer for many years. When you put the new Maytag and Speed Queen side by side, I can honestly say I would be happy with either. As for the Maytag not dispensing straight hot water (and like hot water especially with anything that uses bleach, I could just turn the cold water off while it was filling, then turn it back on when it starts agitating. In winter, I have to turn the cold water down to get warm water, so I'm used to it. Also had to do that with my 1996 Frigidaire Gallery, which ran just fine. I never should have traded it for the LG! Eugene, your videos are well done, informative, and honest. If I did not live so far away, I would buy my appliances from you.

Nope, people buy so many things today to get the best performance and end up spending so much money on replacing them time and time again. Would much rather have the reliability and not have to buy a new washer every 5 years. With a quality detergent and good laundry routine (ie don’t let stains sit untreated for a week) the SQ will do a fine job.

Great video!👍. We just looked at both of these machines, and went with the SQ TC7. The deciding factors..washer was on sale, so we got it for the TC5 price, 7 year full factory parts and labor. SQ has a factory service tech in our area, and Maytag did not, so factory warranty and factory service was a big deal to us, especially in our current world of throw away/replace vs. old school service
epair. Both MT and SQ were nice machines, either is a great choice. Check out factory service in your area before buying.

Thanks for the side by side comparison and you answered THE most important question for me...HOT WATER.
I just got a GE washer that says "deep water wash", "deep rinse" and a "hot wash"...nope. It cheats on the hot wash, starts hot, you put your fingers in the water..ow ow ow...HOT, but as soon as you close the lid, it adds cold....wash temp was 92. We own an HVAC company and clothes are touching condensate lines from commercial buildings that can contain contaminates such as bacteria from Legionaire's Disease, deadly molds and even viruses...so HOT HOT HOT is necessary. Whites in this new GE machine, coffee stains still on my dish towels...same towels I've had for years, same soap, same bleach, same water, same coffee even...but wash agitation must be useless or lack of hot water...stains remain. Deep water is a joke...gigantic stainless tank...but haven't been able to use the top six inches for anything. It has an agitator, but can't use the top six inches of that either. I've tried a few work-arounds...nope. Machine going back. Probably will get the TC5 because I need the scalding hot water to wash work clothes, towels, sheets...and now, omg, my kitchen towels. Got to wondering if the GE could get skid marks out of undies...probably would leave that too. YECHHHH!!! Is there a work-around to fill the Maytag with scalding hot water???
BTW-Was born in Cleveland, lived in Avon Lake...in Lorain County! Now in Kansas. Thank YOU for this comparison!!!

    Thanks for posting and sharing!
I have the Speed Queen TR3 Model from 2018, and I strongly believe the agitator for Maytag is a whole lot better from what I see. The "AUGER" style from the Maytag seems to do more of a detailed mix of the clothing than the Speed Queen. The SQ seems to just leave the clothes floating on top without the agitator mixing it, I noticed that AFTER I bought this SQ model. And sometimes I still see some debris and dirt even after I do a wash, so for me this is very disappointing! Next time I buy ANY washer, I'm gonna make sure it has the AUGER type agitator. I used to own a Whirlpool washer (the first kind of model WITHOUT an agitator, just a tub) and boy, was it a joke! Sometimes it left the clothes soaking wet even after the wash had completely ended...I junked that sucker! Never cleaned also! I'm a part-time oil worker so I HAVE to use a top quality washer to clean my clothes. If I'm too oily when I come home, I either douse myself with my garden hose water outside using dishwashing soap and a large scrubber to clean myself and clothes with and toss in the washer after, or I sometimes strip down and use the washer if it's not that bad.

Definitely the second best washer we have, next to the late 90s DD Kenmore we had prior to the Bravos.
