It's not sonic R without the original godly soundtrack. Sonic mania music is good, actually more than good, but I wouldn't want the original sonic R OST to be replaced.
I would have liked new tracks entirely but this texture pack looks pretty good on its own. Mirage Saloon is a great fit for Regal Ruin, my favorite of the original tracks

Dude, this hack of Sonic R is awesome! Where it is based off the gameplay level aesthetics of Sonic Mania where the original levels were changed to the ones taken from Mania which I thought was very creative for the hacking team behind this!
This is how a real 3D sonic game worldbuilding should looks like, nothing seems out of place, and at the same time, the vibes and the personality of the game is present all the time, no weird bullshit like other 3D games of sonic.
This makes me want a Sonic the Fighter Mania mod/rom hack/ remaster. It could include new stages, characters like the rest of the choatixs, and mighty and ray.

Really wish there is balances mod though. Like no matter how much game is modded, Sonic and later Super Sonic is literally the only character worth using for.
I literally JUST played Sonic R on PC and somehow this shows up lol! so random! Most of the stuff like sonic robo blast and sonic AIR im not a fan of, and I stick to the classic Genesis games and stuff, but Sonic R is an exception, 1 of my favorite games growing up. Back then games didnt have tons of levels and crazy features so, this game not having a ton of stuff wasnt a big deal because it was just a fun good game, and was the first true 3D sonic game! It took like 2.5 years for us in north america to get Sonic Adventure and finally get a true 3D game after R (and as you all know I assume, Sonic 3D Blast is not a 3D game, if you didn't know that, look it up friends!)
I love how Metal Sonic is faster than a doll and should have got that stage, yet Tails doll gets the longer stage and faster speed. Maybe they should replace studiopolis with Stardust Speedway.
The cool thing is is that supersonic is actually on a timer if you want to have a chance to win as super Sonic your going to make sure that his ring count doesn't reach zero. Or else I think you transform back to regular Sonic and lose those buffs (A few minutes later) wow! So he doesn't lose his powers and go to regular Sonic when he runs out of rings. Well It is a mod so I guess they couldn't really stop super Sonic from being able to be played even without any rings
