Great shoutout and updates!! I've never used Tamiya's AS line, just the TS colors, that's great to know, I'd like to build some "suede" colored kustoms, I'll give those a try ✌️😁
That truck looks really good 🔥 Love the color in that BelAir I just painted a 68 Dart that sane color You're correct about not really needed primer for the flat Tamiya colors they lay and cure so smooth. Thanks for sharing I just subbed to your channel
Nice shout Bruce!! And a cool kit. Love those Toyota pickups. Sorry to hear about the bmw but the truck sure is coming along well. Nice updates!! I agree that the aircraft colors give us some nice options too. I’ve cleared over them before myself. Good stuff.
Great update Bruce your builds are looking great like that blue your going with I'm building that Nova at the minute just got it into paint good luck with your builds 👍👍
Looking great! Bare Metal Foil is what you were trying to think of. I get great results from Tamiya spray as well. I have tested the TS metallics on spoons with different base coats. Easy to see the differences side by side. Btw - Joe from Model Building Corner sent me . haha. 👍😎
Truck looks great. I agree with you on base coat tip. I wanted to paint car red using red primer. Nobody had Tamiya red primer. I used flat red then top coat. It wasn’t metallic though. Ferrari red TS-85. Anyway it worked fine. 👍It was the last car I used rattle can on. Rattle cans are fine. Less overspray with airbrush. To me there’s not much difference unless I use large workshop paints. Krylon or equivalent. Enjoy your day 👍
I became familiar with all of those Tamiya greys and such when I was building sci-fi kits on commission for folks. They all lay down so smooth, and dry so fast, they are great to work with. I still keep a complete inventory of them, I like using them on interiors and such. I get tired of seeing flat black chassis under every car build, it's nice to incorporate some of these colors into them as well. Have fun, I like what your doing so far!
Thanks Tim - I agree. I like the flat colors on interiors too. I rarely use black on interiors because you can't see any details. I try to use lighter colors when I can. I usually paint the undercarriage the body color, but I will do it sometimes in an off grey or even a silver now and then. -- Black sometimes but I may use different shades of black and grey - and metallic colors to give it interest 🙂
Nice updates Bruce. Thanks for showing how to install the glass on the mobius truck. People always say they are tricky, but now I understand what to do. I like the KISS method myself 😂
Awesome update Bruce! Wow feel like I'm talking to myself... Lol Love the progress on the Ford pickup. There are several kits that the windshield goes in from the front. The 49 Revell special Edition is one of them. Your think of Bare Metal Foil... 😁 You got a new sub too ! One Bruce to Another we have to stick together... 🤣 Stop by and say hay. Hit me up and I will send you a shop card as well... LLAP 🖖

Great looking builds. Glad you shared.

Bare Metal Foil! 😊
I stopped using it a long time ago. I just mask and spray it chrome. I would have already introduced that BMW to the hammer!
BMW = LOL 😆
Auto-correct! I have the dumbest smartphone! 😄
