My grandfather was a navy grad class of 67. And boy did he love sing.he passed this year and the stories ive heard of his days in the academy and in service has inspired me greatly. I may not join like he did but i plan to see the skies like he did. Hearing this song will fill me forever with his memory and I'll never forget lowell boaz for as long as the navy protects our country. Also BEAT ARMY.
Every time I hear this after the Army-Navy game, I can't help but get a lump in my throat. There's something about it that just stirs up so many emotions.
Though not an Annapolis graduate. I spent 27 years in the Navy: aircrew for 6 years, served in 2 submarines and 27 surface ships; this still stirs my blood! I did graduate from the Senior Enlisted Academy in 1985.
Same here, I was in 6 years and left as an ET1(SW). When I was 10 my parents took me an a trip to Washington DC and one of our stops was the Naval Academy, although I did not end up going there as a student it made me a lifelong Navy man from that point forward.
Now colleges from sea to sea May sing of colors true, But who has better right than we To hoist a symbol hue? For sailors brave in battle fair Since fighting days of old, Have proved a sailor's right to wear The Navy Blue and Gold. BEAT ARMY!!
Its been more than 40 years since I was there. Trust me Master chief. It will be the best time of your life. Although you will not think of it that way until you LEAVE.

Me too and I was an enlisted man but love everything about the US Navy!

After 45 years since I last walked the yard, the second verse carries a meaning which is impossible to explain. Go Navy!
GO NAVY! BEAT ARMY!
Although I spent my 6 years in the US Navy as an enlisted man this stirs me to my core! Former ET1(SW).
Enlisted… commissioned officer… doesn’t matter… thank you for your service!!!
My dad was Class '56. I grew up hearing this song. I love it. Go Navy! Beat Army!
I (a high school junior with my eyes set on Annapolis) am just now realizing that my high school uses their fight song. Go navy blue and white!
Now colleges from sea to sea
May sing of colors true,
But who has better right than we
To hoist a symbol hue?
For sailors brave in battle fair
Since fighting days of old,
Have proved a sailor's right to wear
The Navy Blue and Gold.
BEAT ARMY!!
They changed words to delete “men” in lines one & five.
Man that song is so emotional!
Beat Army!
Bravo Zebra! Semper Fortis!
Chills….God Bless you all.🇺🇸🇺🇸🇺🇸
Someone said that this is on tier with “Notre Dame, Our Mother” as the best alma mater song of any university.
Gives me chills! Lovely!!
Makes me regret not going to the Academy when I had the opportunity.
Likewise, but I am proud of my 6 years of enlisted service. Former ET1(SW).
Beautiful.
game day! Go Navy, Beat Army!
Nicely Done!!
oh the memories...03!
Terrific!
Happy Founders' Day
I can’t wait to be a midshipman
Its been more than 40 years since I was there. Trust me Master chief. It will be the best time of your life. Although you will not think of it that way until you LEAVE.

BRAVO ZULU !!
GO NAVY ⚓ BEAT ARMY
Anchor's away ⚓🐬🦑and sempre fi,
Is this the USNA alma mater?
Yes it is sung at every game and gathering
Its the modified version. A few words were changed since I learned it in the last century.
@@John_Henry83yeah. Changed to delete the word “men”. The split tails evidently complained enough to erase heritage.
