The focus modes have some simple built in automations, just fyi. Like the when opening the apps, trigger a mode, you do so by setting a schedule in its setting. Other automations includes location and time triggers.
Great tips and thanks for the video. I am trying to get back up to speed on my macOS skill, as I have been primarily in the Linux world for the last four years after 20 years of using a Mac. Shortcuts make it tempting to consider coming back, but I love the freedom of Linux for so many other reasons. Nevertheless, this is super helpful. Again, thanks, and God bless
Great video! However, I can't get the Alfred Shortcuts workflow to work. It installs and pops up one time, then stops popping up. You mentioned you had to make a one-time payment. I have the Alfred Legacy Powerpack.
Alfred is not required to launch Shortcuts, and it can be achieved with Spotlight easily. Make sure "Other" is checked on Settings -> Siri & Spotlight -> Spotlight -> Search results. Once this done, Cmd + Space to launch Spotlight, type the shortcut name and click Cmd + Down to jump different section on the results and press Enter while the shortcut is highlighted
A great idea for a future Sergio video would be to create Apple shortcuts that are linked to Obsidian: for example, to create daily notes or automate note-taking on iPhone. Thank for all your videos 🙌🙌🙌

Why would you clean downloads folder? I keep everything in there 😂
Absolutely, the downloads folder is my barn.
100% It contains all the “junk” for which I don’t have a better place for (yet)

Is the Power Pack license for the most recent version? If not, you might need to purchase an upgrade

Very good stuff, plus the links help expanding the possibilities !
useful stuff man, thank you!
Vocal Shortcuts is the easiest way to launch Shortcuts. You can configure this in the MacOS Settings.
Great video!
Abraços de Portugal 🇵🇹
Would the MacOS Automator work similarly to the automation apps you recommend?
The automator app is basically on life support, but it still works!

Once you hide your desktop, how do you get everything back?
I got it; you "toggle hide desktop" again, it shows everything on my desktop again. THanks for setting these up! Much appreciated.

If you have *Alfred* give the shimmering-obsidian Alfred workflow a try. I find it very useful.
Raycast forever
Wait, you guys don't launch your shortcuts through Siri like talking to Jarvis?
Fuggedaboutit
Just use Siri to trigger the shortcuts.
I don’t use it so this is helpful
