Awesome vid. Very interesting. Like you said just those slight differences on the crank and sleeve will make the 2 engines have completely different powerbands. Also i wonder if carb needles are the exact same or have different thread pitches and needle angles this also can effect the power curve. Keep up the great work bro💯🏎💨👍🏾👍🏾
Thank you! I should have checked the carb needles! but honestly I saw 21j and supposed that it'sthe exact same carb. Waiting for better wheather and I will break the XRB in, going to try it stock before modifying it, Im very curious to run the stock XRB, I have seen this engine running but never tried it
sick video showcasing the difference in timing numbers on the two engines. backs up the authenticity that each engine ielasi releases isn’t just a lightly modified rebranded os, but more a custom engine with its own unique timing numbers utilizing OS’s quality materials and machinery
To be honest, the first time i disassembled this engine, my first impression was Ielasi putting very little effort to modd this engine and sell it at a crazy price, but as you said it's a custom engine and no stock engine will run as a Ielasi
Awesome video. Very surprising. I would love to send you my Dusty R, which was the second version between the First one, the original Dusty, and the RCE Dusty that you have. I wonder what mine is like? Haha. P.s you’re English is great man, don’t worry about that. Wherever you are from, just know that most likely, none of us viewers can speak a single world. You’re the man. Thanks for the video.
Thank you!! I'm curious about the previous Dusty, I almost bought one, the price was really good, although I think the main differences are aesthetic (cooliing head, block coating)
That engine never marketed publicly at that cost, that was the previous distributer depleting inventory. You can look at it like this, you can only assume the changes that were made outside of a few measurements, there are other details to come into play like the compression ratio, and the fact that this engines is built by hand with a good fitting piston and sleeve, matching rod vs an off the shelf factory assembled engine. Also let’s consider that testing a research went into actually creating this. These parts come in bulk to Italy before modification. each engine is blueprinted in the building process by Daniele. All this at $20 more in market value than a very similar based very popular motor that is not blueprinted and is a rebranded configuration of a stock os motor. My question is who else is providing this service? Consider this when deciding whether you want the best or just another engine for your car. We are in the market of the best, and this is our tier 2 engine optimized to be in the premium market. Most drivers that try these never look back in terms of wanting actual performance. You can’t always judge a book by its cover… lastly send-it rc and N2RC are dealers for our engines currently. We are a distributor, we leave competitive pricing to our dealers. This hobby won’t survive with out supporting the small guy.
@@ielasitunedusa8417 I’m not sure if this was directed towards my comments on the pricing, but first of all, it is an honor to see Ielasi Tuned chime in personally here, so thank you. My comment about pricing was made because i’m broke and currently focusing on changing that situation. Secondly, I don’t think anyone doubts the quality and preparation that goes into these motors, I know I felt good about you all even years ago, when I purchased an Ielasi Tuned Novarossi .28 3 port, Ielasi Tuned Novarossi .28-7 port version, a Hummer 7t version 2, and the Second iteration of the Dusty R. I sure believe in your products, and I think your growing roster of drivers and World Champion titles are testament to all of your hard work, dedication, and participation in this hobby for what, at least 15 years? We are all rooting for you and if I came off wrong about pricing, i do apologize. My finances are my own problem, and don’t have anything to do with your products or pricing, as I know Inflation has affected all of us. Wishing you the best from the USA, where I will continue to support nitro and the small guys, as I have done for years. Best of luck and can’t wait to try my nova based Ielasi’s I have yet to fire up, and my beautiful Dusty R that I was blessed, and thankful, to obtain at the price that I did.
Great comparison vid ! Ielasi is making the extra costs. The coolinghead, ceramic bearing, coating , dlc and silicon fill on the crank and extra cut. And the buttonhead. All for € 200,- It's definitely not hand tuned. It's all machined. It does look really good. These minor adjustments make a difference. 3 grams on the crank is a big difference. Great job buddy👍👊
Thank you Kings. What's your opinion on the Ielasi price? I think that it's a good 350 engine, even if in the 350's range there is a tough competition..
I thought it was €400. For €350 this engine isn't bad at all. That's just what the upgrades cost. Yes, a lot of competition. Don't think i would choose the ielasi engine.
About what I expected from an Ielasi tuned motor.. leaves much to be desired for the price imo.. I can’t wait to see you review the Picco P3TX, and run it… I will say I think Picco dropped the ball on the head design, and graphics.. The V2, Blast, and P3TT look sooooooo much better… thanks for the content B! 🤙
yes the dusty is expensive.. fro the price you can get 2 XRBs, I think that 350 is a decent price (that's what mine cost me) but this engine is sold at more than 400 here, in that range of price you have much better options IMO. I like the Tx cooling head! simple but still in the picco style, probably they will come out with a limited edition one of these days. Thanks for stopping by!
Great break down and insight Tasty 💯 - Those are not big changes but, all the little things add up. I think the better final question would be, are all the changes worth the price difference ? Thanks for another fun engine overview 🩷
Thank you! Good question...... Are you a fan of Ielasi Tuned Engines?? If not, you would probably prefer buying 2 XRBs for the price of the Ielasi 😬 I cant drill the cranckshaft and make it DLC but I can get the XRB to perform, probably, 90% as good as the Dusty
Very nice comparison! Great detail with the drawings to help explain. 😃 Looks like a OS factory tune up rather than an aftermarket tune up. Very nice to see. Maybe one day we will have tasty B tuned engines 😂😂
Génial, merci pour cette vidéo détaillée des deux moteurs 👌👍. Une préparation de la chemise et du vilebrequin d'origine du OS XRB le rendrait aussi performant que le Dusty ?
Awesome job mate best brake down you have done ✅ true compare off both engines well done always learning bro just interested in the price difference of both ? Is it a lot ? Keep up the good work bro
Awesome drawing my friend ! I've been drafting professionally since 1996, and you did an excellent job conveying the specs. Well done. The exhaust timing or ( induction close ) and higher port height on the ielasi would move the power band further back than the O.S. engine ... Is that correct? from you experience operating and owning the two engines?
Thank you Texas! The exhaust timing and Induction closing are 2 different things, IClosing is how long the cranck window stays open, Exhaust timing (bolwdown) is de difference in height between the transfert ports and the exhaust port. More Blowdown -> higher rpm and power at high rpm, less torque. I havent try the XRB yet but as soon as weather gets better (its freezing here) we will find out!
Oh, thank you Buddy. I would love to be able to measure the duration, intake and exhaust timings, etc. I'm trying to understand it so I can modify some of my engines, and know what i'm doing. Appreciate the help Bro !🤓@@TastyBRC
@@TexasHill I'm still learning, trying to understand all this timing stuff but soon Kings is coming up with something huge, nitro will no longer have any secrets for him 🤯Also you should start by watching his videos, he modded his r5r and explains step by step how to check the numbers
Bro you just reminded me; there’s an Adam Drake video where he explains tuning for different percentages of nitro it very informative check it out I got something out of it. I look at it as the average customer that I am, any of us can check the internals, get a degree wheel, a caliper and make a few measurements not any of us can check the tolerances, the good fitting of the piston and sleeve and talk about the resarch. We, customers (racers or not) like this kind of info(your comment), you should share it, let us know a bit more about your brand.
