I’ve been working hard over the last few months to find better deals for our large family on groceries and doing my shopping at ALL the Stores. With so much going on, I had to go back to my old ways just this time! I use to shop two stores - Sam’s Club and Meijer - today that’s just what I did!

I get tons of advent calendars every year and pass them out to grandkids, neighborhood kids, etc. It's just a nice treat and helps the kids to remember the reason for the season.

You should get butter from Costco! It tends to be cheaper for more. Butter also freezes beautifully (also so does milk you can freeze it right in the jug Bc the jugs are meant to expand)
I totally would buy butter at Sam's, but we love Challenge butter... not sure why! 😂 I love the idea of freezing milk... I just need more freezer space. 😬 I'd never get it to fit.

I’m getting ready to do my monthly shopping as well. I do the exact same thing to my peppers slice and freeze I also do have with celery and carrots too that way I can buy in bulk but just freeze so I always have some on hand

We love those little Tacos at sams! We just put them in the toaster oven or air fryer. Eat with queso, salsa or sour cream. AMAZING

for brown sugar, mix together regular sugar and molasses to make either light brown sugar or dark brown sugar depending on how much molasses you put in

@@Thegrocerylady they are very expensive! We used to spend around 150-200 lira a week for groceries and now we spend around 300-500. Prices go up almost weekly right now. The lira is really weak against the dollar at the moment. We are planning to move around November/December next year, but at this rate we might have to leave before that! We definitely want to get a membership to Costco and Sam’s club. I think it’ll be cheaper for us in the end, even though we are a family of 3. We actually have a store here that is similar, but we don’t have to pay a membership for it. We don’t shop there too often because they are limited in what they stock. We have bought pasta from there and some other bulk items like it. We did that last year and we still have the pasta left! 😅
I’m from Germany and I still, my kids are 19 and 27 now, go to Aldi every year and get their chocolates. It’s the only place in the area that sells the German candy/stocking stuffers I grew up with..

How fun that you celebrate sinterklaas. It's a big thing here in the netherlands. He "arrived" the 13th of november with the steamboot and his pieten. We celebrate sinterklaas on the 5th of december. Until then the little kids set their shoe in the evening and sing some songs. The next morning there is a treat in their shoe (or a bag of salt if they were bad)

The meat is on sale because when it comes to stores getting meat shipments you can't choose how much exactly they send so when they send too much we mark down our current meat as much as we can to make room for our extra that we got!

I'm not sure if you are aware but their pork tenderloin is the same as boneless pork chops. They taste the exact same. I buy them on sale and have the meat department slice them into pork chops for me. I get to choose the cut and thickness. Any big store like that will cut them free of charge. I normally can get one of them on sale at Kroger and get 15-20 pork chops depending on the size.

A lot of times when meat is on sale even though dating is still good is cause the wrap isn’t tight on it so it might opt last as long. Not sure if someone’s already said this in the comments.
You can find pork chops at sams for an awesome deal!! Costco has great deals on flank steak and skirt steak. That’s where we buy our steak from!
You're so right. I don't know why I didn't check Sam's for pork chops. 🤷🏻♀️ As for Flank and Skirt... I was hoping for a small package to try first before I commit to Sam's size! 😂 Great thinking though!

If you go shopping weekly you can always look for the pasta on sale and then stock up the ones they eat better

Here In the uk alot of things come. In tins in christmas there cute. But you can end up with alot. Ive noticed most usa bloggers say noodles we say pasta In the uk xxx

I do a weekly shop but I already have four deep freezers packed to fridge raider freezer is packed in a huge prep pantry so we don’t shop once a month and I don’t like it that way I tend to spend too much if I shop once a month so I went down to shopping weekly at least for our household and it’s saving me hundreds of dollars a week and I’m not throwing anything out I know some people shop big once a month for things and just go back and backfill for fresh in fridge rated items which I think works great we just have too much in the house right now we need to eat down and rotate love your channel I hope you have a great Thanksgiving with your family

Awww i love your come shop with me. Bacon is expensive where you are no? Also you call pasta or noodles whatever you want. In Europe it is Pasta but i see a lot of people from the States that call it noodles🤷🏿♀️. I wish we had Raos here ! I would definitely try it 😋 🤗
Bacon has totally jumped up in price. It’s crazy. It used to be closer to $5 maybe $6. I want to be more fancy like you and call it pasta. I’ve got to work on that. 🤣

Can actually make those just get some red solo cups and tissue paper and glue them to a piece of cardboard in the shape of a tree and then just use rubber bands to hold the tissue paper on and put whatever you want inside but the numbers on them and let them punch them out and then you can reuse it again

Those are indoor Christmas trees they stay soft to get pretty good size you just keep put them in a bigger pot I work for a lady that that’s what she decorated until she got her actual Christmas tree

I think if you have a special shoe you can use it, but I just take one of the kids’ shoes.

Hello Chantel!! Happy to have you here! I do think having a Sam's Club membership has saved me in the long run. It doesn't always feel like it in the moment when you're paying upfront... but weeks and months down the road it pays off. How great that you have a stockpile started. I'm just starting mine!
have you checked sams for the steaks ? normally theyre cheaper then meijers in my area
We have used Sam's Club steak... even though it was a kind we usually eat, the texture was much different and we didn't prefer it. It's so weird. Maybe we'll be brave and try again. 😊

@@Thegrocerylady you mix 1 cup of granulated sugar with 1 tbsp of mollases with an electric mixer until combined, you can adjust the quantities to get lighter or darker sugar. 😊
The way I make it always. You can mix it with a fork but realized it was super easy to put a big batch in the mixer and in a sealed container. I do it before making cookies with brown sugar so I don’t have to wash the bowl.

It isn't worth the stress of going to two more stores to save a few bucks in my opinion, but I also hate shopping. Once you add up the gas and your time and the stress... No thanks 🤣
I seen a lot of places where you could’ve saved money there is no way in hell I would ever spend over five dollars for four pork chops that’s ridiculous when I can buy a whole pork tenderloin for $18 and get close to 40 out of it exact same thing just slice it

Just take the pork tenderloin and slice it into pork chops why waste money on boneless pork chops when it’s the exact same thing at a lesser price that’s why I always buy my pork tenderloin at Sam’s Club 15 pounds for $18 cheap cheap cheap

And Sinterklaas as you're saying isn't just a tradition in the Netherlands. We in Austria also celebrate it and we call it Nikolaustag, same thing in Germany.

We don’t celebrate Santa Claus as in he’s bringing presents or he’s real, but we have fun on St. Nicklaus Day (December 6th). I was born in Germany and it’s a big day there!
