We got our son a tablet for my cross country trip. Daniel only uses it when I have lots of errands so he spends most the day in the car or in the store if he’s really fussy. It’s per situation, not always.

Not gonna lie, I was that mom saying I would never have my daughter go on the iPad/phone etc. mostly because I KNOW them iPad kids, some of my nieces and nephews are addicts and never leave the house unless they have their ipad with them. But I learned that BALANCE is the key. She can have phone time when I’m having a bad day or busy otherwise we are usually outside playing. Learning new things with her and a way to be a better person in general >

Oh my gosh, I just found your channel and I’m in LOVE. As a first time mom of a 3 month old, I totally understand the whole balance situation btwn the “real” world and electronics, totally agree! (even tho my son is a bit too young for actually watching) Anyways, I’m so proud of you !!
Don’t stress it. I’ve bought a tablet for my 1yo. Only to use in the car though. Because a screaming infant for 2 hour trips to Dad’s is miserable and distracting. Nothing wrong with using it inside with moderation. As long as you’re not having her with it 24 hours a day. My only recommendation would be a blue light screen protector to try and avoid as much exposure on the eyes.
As an aunt of 5 @20 y.o, Quality time with my youngest niece is sitting in silence as she uses my ipad while i can finish studying. We then draw together or go on bike rides for a couple hours. It is about balance. Child happy + stress free parent/guardian = happy day 😊

Kayla now that eliana is a bit older I would highly recommend the Nuna TRVL Stroller ! It’s super convenient and doesn’t take up space . It’s also a one hand fold since you guys travel on air ✈️

El was born the month before my girl and we learnt the hard way with the iPad as well gave in 11 months🤣🤣 no harm in having them entertained for a short time going for meals/ road trips etc to make life a little easier for when you’re occupied. Parent bashing for that is just sad lol

You are a really good parent, for the screen time, there is a lot of studies about it. I'm a teacher with kids from 2 to 10 years old. Keep it to under 15min per day and you should be alright. ^^
Nothing wrong with Ipads! My daughter has alot of learning games on there with shapes, alphabet, and colors and shes learned so much on there, she loves it! You raise your daughter your own way, you know whats best!
