Once you ride this bike, you know why it's priced like that. Road or no road, doesn't matter how much load you carry, even with a pillion. I had done it. It's just the fun a rider looks for. For those of you who are worried about the price, consider this, any other adventure tourer in this segment costs more, and if you consider the Himalayan, consider the reliability, comfort, parts quality, ride quality, exhaust note (some might argue, understandable), service interval and versatility of the machines. Consider the cost per kilometre after the machine is bought. (Edit) When you compare bikes of other segments (Dominar, Mojo, etc.) please keep in mind that an FZ 150 had done the same off road on rocky trails with me that I did with this one and ended up in a busted fork seal. In that logic, I can compare Activa with this one. Much better fuel efficiency in such lower cost, wow!
You are right bro but still the price is not justified .. I mean it is over priced just because there is only 1 competition right now . I'm talking value for money as in a ninja 300 and KTM Duke 390 .
Excellent bike, good quality and finish as expected of a BMW, very comfortable seat and riding position, good command of road, brakes quite good, gear shift smooth, Metzelar tyres with a dual on and off road capability, headlight is a problem shakes a bit , torque lacking at low rev, otherwise splendid

Seems well priced to me- at least here anyway...
Did they say Baby Jesus? 😂 But good to see this video.. these BMW dealers are ruining the brand actually and behaving like cheating goondas. I know because my friends and me had bad experience at the Bangalore one at Lavaale road..
Yes, the BMW dealer attitude towards 310 series is that customers who can't afford the bigger bikes buy these baby 310GS or 310R. This attitude was very evident when I walked into BMW dealership in Bangalore. BMW India has a big challenge in selling the smaller bike, mainly due to their attitude towards 310 customers
I beg to differ, with the assumption that it would last like a car. Even with the best of maintenance. People tend to push these little machines. It's a thumper. ONE cylinder. Expect an average of almost 80K miles. If driven nice. Half othat if pushed to the limit. You cannot redline or jump on this machines. They're not being made to rip like a motocross machine. They are meant to serve as commuter tipe with the convenience of being able to tackle roads not paved trails and small gravel but nothing extreme.
Bike creates problem regarding battery. Bmw is just brand name but they provide you pathetic service. I changed my battery before completing 3000 kilometers, chain and chain pocket were completely worst in condition and also changed ( Within a year i travelled only 5000 kilometers). It gives shock in middle of the ride and you won't understand why would it happening with you. So investing 420k for this bike is not worth and its my humble request to those who want to buy this bike please buy another one not this.
I want to hear from someone who does 20000-25000km on Bangalore roads with this kind of suspension. Bangalore's roads are so horrible that even commuter bike suspensions start giving up and require maintenance after 20000-25000km

I think the G310GS headlight vibration was to protect the bulb when off road. The 2021 has an LED headlight and no shock mount, so the headlight vibration is now gone. I bought a US$40 LED on Amazon for my new 2019 baby GS that I just bought with a sweet pre-2021 discount and dealer incentive, and I'll hard mount the stock headlight mount to eliminate the vibration.
