I'm so grateful for your channel!!! I was looking to get a keyboard but it's so big and my room is so small there's no where to put it. So I started looking around and went ahead and purchased a ukulele. There aren't very many channels like this one!! I just printed out today the handbook you have for the 30 day challenge for beginners. I love it!!! You are such an awesome teacher!! I pray the best for you, your family and your career!! Don't ever feel discouraged because you're doing great!!

Where's the link to the inlay? I'm also curious to know how the sticker on the fretboard stands up to the test of time. Does it still look fresh after a lot of playing or does it begin to look like an obvious sticker when it gets worn a bit from a lot of playing?

One way to tell is if you tune your strings and it sounds off when you strum , hold a "C" chord 0003 and your tuner should register a "C" .......this I was told by someone , I tested it and it seemed accurate .... do you know if this is correct Bernadette?

    • @BernadetteTeachesMusic

I hate changing strings, because new ones won't stay in tune, as you said. I usually stretch them gently after tuning, then tune again and repeat a few times. Do you discourage this practice?

Hi Mick! The ukulele has a high G sound, so the thickest string is C, next is E, then G, then the thinnest is A.

Hi. I am wondering what kind of strings are on your Bernadette Bougainvillea Ukulele
from Enya? I already have (4) Ukuleles and as of this coming March 23rd, it'll be 2 years learning the ukulele with no music background. I love this instrument, and I would love to buy this Bougainvillea Uke. My husband says "No", that I am crazy and that I already have more than enough Ukuleles! IDK, my birthday is coming up?!? Anyway, we shall see ; )
