Nice explanation. Where does one go to sign DS-5507? It states on the document it can't be signed by a notary. The passport agents at USPS or public libraries here in Texas say they cannot sign it.

Hello, I'm still confused about section 1, in particular the part where biological children are listed. My brother was born/raised in the USA so he's a US Citizen, but three of his foreign born children are not (all four were born in Germany between 2000 and 2004). His oldest daughter has had duel citizenship since 2017 (US/Germany) but not the other three, as my brother never filed the reports for birth abroad (DS-2029) on their behalf. So the question is, do I list all four of his children in this section, including his oldest daughter, who obtained duel US/German citizenship in 2017, or only the three who are not yet US citizens but want to apply for US passports/duel citizenships? Hello! You should list all your children, including the newborn. And these forms are typically signed at an embassy or a consulate, at least in front of an official who handles foreign births.

The passport authorities are generally found in the Embassies and Consulates. A public notary is not the same thing unfortunately

You should always include as much information as you have in these types of forms, including previous and current marriages

What if the child is born out of marriage and the father is currently merry were Will the child name go on the form
On the CRBA help form they tell you to list where you lived chronologically from when you were born and work forward to present.

Did you file your Consular Report of Birth Abroad? That would register him as an American at north, if you are an American…

I have a question. So if you're a US citizen, do you have to list every city and state that you've lived in? Or just your current? Seems like it would just be excessive to have to list out every place.
They want to know your past and current legal addresses so they can accurately match your identity. The more you can provide, the better.
