Looking for feedback: there were a few times this set where things were happening so fast it was difficult to mention everything while keeping up with the match. In such situations would you prefer that I occasionally pause to quickly collect my thoughts, or should I keep letting the gameplay flow uninterrupted?
I think it would make a lot of sense to watch the sets to completion before recording commentary so you can identify the best points to stop and highlight a major decision or outcome. I get wanting to record your genuine reaction but there's little time for that to have an impact when the pace of the gameplay is so quick. Also makes the content more accessible to casual viewers who don't play a lot themselves but know enough to follow along if they have certain things explained.
I'm all about the pausing, personally! In fact, I'm a fan of hearing commentary done at slower game speeds, but I might be in the minority for that one.
The slaking interaction was actually extra unique. The focus made the truant activate. So even tho it was frozen it had action. Then it unfroze during the truant turn.
Yeah I recognized you were simply sacking the Slaking, but I was surprised that the focus punch text at the beginning of the turn even showed up despite the turn being a truant turn. def learned more about the mechanic from this set
If you’re still taking suggestions for sets I would love to see you commentate R2 MoxieKrok vs SanBaiBeepo! MoxieKrok is a close friend of mine who has very little ADV experience but he played really well and the set was crazy close
That G1 was HILARIOUS lmao. Also I would rather you talk without interrupting the game much, maybe only slowing down the speed to react, it's pretty fun to be amazed at the match alongside the commentator I think, lol

Definitely pause, its nice when the commentator can give context and insight in the chaos. Im usually pretty clueless otherwise

Yes, please pause, I enjoy hearing the analysis. Or note the turn and at the end do a replay of some interesting turns or highlights

(also just to aid any confusion, I was throwing Slaking away, you can't focus punch while loafing)

Love the commentary, thank you so much for covering this set!
appreciate the kind words homie! happy to do it
Another Banger, Nice Video! The music was a little loud on this upload.
@JohnaldADV this is helpful feedback, thank you! probably gonna usually do instrumental music too which should be less distracting as well
